My experience at Veterans Ford was super comfortable. They have a hot chocolate machine free of charge. They have beautiful plants all inside, I did a check cause I wonder how Florida grows such beautiful plants. Also, the customer service was impeccable. We had a 7 yr old with us and one of the employees came over and gave her some special gifts to keep her entertained. It was a scented crayons 2 coloring books and a toy figurine and stickers. Boy! Was she excited and not bored and figgy any more. I came here for service in my 2020 ford mustang and brand new aftermarket wheels and someone curbed them. Thankfully, they were able to sand them and paint them because I had the standard color & black alloy wheels. If you are a car enthusiast you know all the preexisting damage on your car and constantly look at it. If you genuinely care about the appearance of your vehicle do not take it here. If I would have never pointed this out to them I don't think they would have told me. Additionally, they make up reasons in order for you to spend more money. Zero courtesy for the consumer. They tried to get me for two new tires at $613.90. also a coolant flush $199, cabin filter $99 emissions service $202 and intake cleaner $189. My flaps were missing some clips and they didn't end up replacing all of them. My vehicle just broke 36,000 miles but my warranty ran out so they tried squeezing me for every dime. Legitimately my two front tires were getting close to replacement but no where near the tread bar. If I live in a colder climate then yes but living in Florida I can take it a little bit longer. Horrible all around. I've been a customer for several years. Our check engine light was on so my first thought was to take my Ford Escape to my local Ford dealership, as it's a Ford product and they know it best. The first words out of the associates mouth before I even got inside was "I looked at all of your warranties and they are expired, so there's not much we can help you with today....". "You can pay $250 to run a diagnostic." That's the greeting we all like to get as a loyal customer. Our vehicle is a 2016 with 90K miles, it's serviced regularly, and is in fantastic condition. They wouldn't even consider taking a look at it (even for a loyal customer). Talk about not standing behind your product at all. The fact that the service department was completely empty that day (5+ service associates just hanging out) and they wouldn't even consider just looking at it or looking into potential issues is just pathetic. The service manager & associate just stood behind the desk (arms crossed) saying "we don't do free checks". Well apparently you don't do any vehicle checks because your team has the worst body language, tone, and overall attitude I've seen out of any car dealership. And $250 to bring a car back for 10 minutes and plug it into your code reader... Every previous negative review makes complete sense. They deserve the zero business that they are currently getting. Go somewhere else to get your vehicle checked, there are so many better mechanics and options. You'll save yourself wasted time and effort. In response to Brianna: My vehicle was in just three weeks ago for service and again 6 months ago... Tells you how much they know about their customers. I purchased the vehicle from a Ford dealership in Illinois (where I moved from), I didn't realize that mattered (apparently it does). Let me start by saying the original salesman we had who's name I believe was Josh was great, and fortunately for him isn't with Veterans anymore. If I could not give them a star I would. We went in at the beginning of June to order my fiancé a 2025 Ford Escape and we chose the order route due to the options/trims/colors she specifically wanted not being available within our area at the time. We took the day to test drive multiple models and decided we'd take the night to think on it and make our decision the next day. Came in the next day to speak with Josh who was busy and we got a new salesman who was flat out terrible. We spent about an hour with him rehashing everything we did with Josh the day before only for him to completely ignore us and try and push us to buy a similar model Escape that we decided against the day prior. My fiancé was about to purchase the one similar one which she overall wasn't interested in when Josh finished his other customer and came to assist. He took care of us and got all our paperwork in order and reviewed our order before giving it to the sales manager Sean. We were required to make a $500 order deposit and were made aware the order could take up to 3 months to receive and in rare cases it could be longer. All perfectly acceptable answers to us choosing to order a vehicle not on the lot. Besides the new salesman aggravating us and making us retest drive a vehicle we weren't interested in we were happy with the outcome and looking forward to the coming vehicle. We noticed just a few weeks ago that Walker Ford now has the exact vehicle we are looking for with the added option of a sunroof for a slightly lower cost so I reached out to Sean at Veterans requesting an update since the emails provide very little to go off of other than "we will update within 45 days". On this call I was informed the order was not processed due to the 2025-2026 model year shift. As you can imagine this was a shock to say the least considering we already made a deposit on this supposedly ordered vehicle and its been 4 months of waiting. Sean had very little to offer in terms of why we weren't notified other that this sort of thing just happens. He stated we could get the new model year ordered but he was unable to uphold the employee pricing discount we ordered the car on in the first place or we could request the vehicle be sent from Walker to Veterans but there would be a significant price difference for either of those options. Completely unacceptable in my opinion due to us being told the exact price we would financing would not change unless there was a more favorable discount available at the time of vehicle delivery. With salesmen trying to push vehicles just to make commission on a sale, zero order communication and a sales manager who had no interest in trying to right a wrong on their part this has been an overall terrible experience. I'm not oblivious to this review ultimately having no affect on the business of Veterans but I without a doubt will not be giving them any business in the future especially when something as simple as an order update can't be provided. read more

I had a terrible experience and would not recommend this place to anyone. The first time I visited, I stood in the service area for five minutes without anyone offering assistance. While that alone wouldn't have frustrated me, what upset me was when a gentleman walked in after me and was helped immediately. They informed me someone would assist me shortly, but the lack of attention was disappointing. Despite this, I decided to give them another chance because they had a great deal on tires. I made an appointment and dropped off my car the day before the scheduled service. A little after my appointment time, I reached out and was told I had a coolant intrusion issue. I agreed to let them keep the car and fix it, as I was leaving for vacation and planned to pick it up a week later. When I called a week later to confirm I would pick up the car around 2 PM, they informed me they were still working on it, hadn't put the tires on, and would need to keep it until Monday. At this point, I was beyond frustrated and asked them to reassemble my car so I could pick it up that day. When I got into my car, the check engine light was on--a problem that wasn't there before. I called to ask why, and they claimed they had no idea and couldn't help me unless I brought the car back on Monday. The disrespect, lack of communication, and poor customer service they claim to stand by are alarming. I do not recommend this business and would rather drive an extra thirty minutes to Parks Ford in Wesley Chapel than ever return here. read more

I bought a nice car from Veterans last year but the service they offer is terrible. I went to have a tire replaced because I purchased road hazard and the best warranty package they had. When I took my car in,, I told the service advisor, I had plugged the tire in the side wall and it needed to be replaced. I ubered home because they said it woukd take 5 hours. Had a family member drop me off to get my car several hours later and It was returned to me with a patch in the side wall and the existing plug I had put in it. So, had to argue with svc department before they admitted my tire should've been replaced. When I got my car back with the new didn't even have a valve stem cover. My cars a 2020 Explorer limited. It was there for 2 days for the tire and It has 2 recalls, one for safety. Noone even mentioned it. I wasted a ton of money buying the warranty and lost an entire day of work. Veterans ford service department is not worth your time and effort. The service departments disregard for its customers safety is inacceptable and the tremendous effort the GM and Sales Manager put into resolving my issue was met by a group of service people that simply do nor care. :-( They had me go to uhaul for a hitch scheduled by ford and then said I had to go after uhaul for damage caused to my car but the paperwork was under their name. This review is based on the service department at Veterans. This is my second time getting my car serviced here and both times have been awful. Communication is very important and it resolves a lot of issues. I dropped my car off at 8 am with an Appointment for an oil change and tire rotation which I didn't think would take all day but it did. After calling about 10 times later in the afternoon to check on my car , I wasn't able to reach anyone. Then around 3 pm I finally get a call telling me my vehicle "should" be done in the next 30 minutes. I understand things happen, short staff or whatever the case may be but a simple phone call telling me hey we're pretty backed up and will give you a call when your car is ready would've been much appreciated. So now I know I cannot depend on the dealer where I bought my vehicle, so I will be going elsewhere for all my future service. read more

My experience with them as been atrocious. Firstly and most importantly I was quoted a Ford Ranger XLT, 4x4 Cactus Grey New for a price of $40,823. This was confirmed via text message and from the dealership website. They have refused to even acknowledge this price is on their website. I was willing to walk in that day and purchase this vehicle cash but was unable because they refused to honor. This is consistent when attempting to purchase a vehicle at this location. I have experienced this several times. In the end Veterans Ford refuses to honor their prices on a consistent basis. This is blatant false advertising. This justifies the reporting to the FTC, BBB, and Attorney General. Per Florida Statute. 817.44 Intentional false advertising prohibited.-- (1) WHAT CONSTITUTES INTENTIONAL FALSE ADVERTISING.--It is unlawful to offer for sale or to issue invitations for offers for the sale of any property, real or personal, tangible or intangible, or any services, professional or otherwise, by placing or causing to be placed before the general public, by any means whatever, an advertisement describing such property or services as part of a plan or scheme with the intent not to sell such property or services so advertised, or with the intent not to sell such property or services at the price at which it was represented in the advertisement to be available for purchase by any member of the general public. I went to this crooked dealership yesterday to get a tire plugged on my 2019 Ford Escape. Waited over an hour to be told ALL my tires had dry rot and I needed to buy 4 tires. I was given price sheets that both said "free mounting" with tire purchase, yet on the actual pricing on the flip side said tire mounting and balancing was $35 each tire. I was in a desperate situation because my own vehicle had been totaled (not my fault) and the covering insurance dropped the ball and left me hanging for weeks. So I had literally a few hours to get another car. And because so many shops were closed, I was unable to get the car evaluated by my 3rd party mechanic. Been taking my truck into Veterans Ford for over a year now trying to get a tire balancing issue fixed. After several balancing/rotations, I was told that since I have large tires, it's just how they ride. Then I was told after explaining that it's not how they ride, they came up with OHHH, it's the shocks, you need new shocks. They share one guy who "knows" sync 4 with two other dealerships, so you have to schedule an appointment, then your vehicle sits and waits for your turn. Not good. My last visit to service was for the auto stop feature on my truck. The fix worked for 1/2 a day. Their service department needs to tighten up and hire more people who know their trade. read more

After reviewing the repair/ service history of this car, I became aware that this purchase has proven to be questionable. I am unfortunately, stuck because it is sold as is. 2022 Hyundai Ionic 5 The issue: I encountered a flat tire last week. In viewing the tire treads closely, I realized that all the tires had well over 85K on them. Confirmed by Hyundai service center and another independent tire dealer. Making them unsafe for any servicing. And unsafe for any individual driving this vehicle. How is this even possible because the car is a 2022 with less than 39K? That 39K supports 39K not 85K or more. Tires with this car have outpaced the age of the car? How is this even possible? The tires were in the mechanics opinion ( and in my opinion) swapped out from the original tires and replaced with these 4 defective tires you guys sold me. I viewing the tires on the day of considering purchase, the treads appeared to be OK. The tires were treated cosmetically leaving me somewhat deceived because they were looking like almost new with a glossed over tire treatment. As a potential buyer this was very deceiving. Big mistake on my part. I should have looked closer. The bad news. The tire rotation was due in service. After bringing the vehicle down to Hyundai they refused to do a tire rotation because the treads were so poor that would deem any tire rotation as unsafe and dangerous. Obviously, the front tires were equal in wear or worse in wear as the rear tires. This was also confirmed from another independent tire dealership. See my anger yet? In summation you guys sold me a vehicle with unsafe tire tread. And the tires were obviously swapped out from the previous owner. There was no recording of any tire changes on past service. So, in conclusion I was really screwed by Veterans Ford. All arrows point to Veterans Ford. In good conscience I cannot recommend your company. This is totally unacceptable. I will submit this review online. If someone is purchasing a used vehicle from your company, I cannot recommend enough a certified mechanic should go over the car prior to any purchase. It is worth the dollars to get a realistic and honest evaluation. And this was a certified blue previously owned vehicle? Give me a break! This is one senior who will not let this go. Had my 2013 Ford Fusion towed there because that's were I bought it after 3 week of guessing ( and spending my money) they finally told me I needed an engine and a fuel pump do not trusting their guess work I towed out to another shop. As a military veteran family it was particularly disappointing to be ripped off by a shady car dealer called "Veterans Ford." I purchased a vehicle with a list price of $22,820. Upon agreement to purchase the vehicle I was told that the final price of $22,820 would be the purchase price, however I was ultimately charged $1,000 extra for a total of $23,820 for not financing with the dealership. I was also charged a "predelivery service fee" of $1149.45 for which the dealer could not explain but stated they charged all customers this cost. I was also charged $250.00 for out-of-state tag registration which cost $20.00. I told Finance Manager Devin Hoffman at the time of purchase that Georgia plate fees are $20.00 he refused to charge us the appropriate fee and told both myself and my husband that we would be refunded any difference. Upon contacting Veterans Ford Tampa to attempt to obtain a refund for the $230.00 in overpayment, they stated that they had filled out the documentation incorrectly and that the $230.00 would be applied to the state taxes which were incorrectly calculated by the dealership. I believe that due to these illegal business practices, Veterans Ford Tampa fraudulently overcharged me $2,379.45 during the transaction for my vehicle. I've now filed complaints with both the Florida Attorney General and the Georgia Attorney General, and will likely end up in small claims court in an attempt to recoup my money. TLDR: Save yourself time, hassle, and money by going elsewhere. There's a reason this dealer has two stars on Yelp! read more
