The sales experience here was fine and so through loyalty I have been coming back for service and each visit is worse than the last. 3 hour waits (with an appointment) to get an oil change. Sending me out with a bad tire and once with a battery that died as soon as I got home so they obviously never checked it. My last experience was the last straw. I asked for the service manager to contact me and they didn't even try for over a week and that was probably because I contacted Ford. A friend mentioned trying Bill Currie for service and they blew me away. The contrast was like the difference between Spirit Air and flying first class on Emirates. read more

I'm embarrassed to even do this but the service center supervisor didn't seem to care so neither should I, I guess. Typically if you have an appointment for something that means you'll be seen/ serviced in a good 20-30 minute window at the worst, right? I had an appointment set here for an oil change and was told I wouldn't be serviced for 2.5 hours minimum and could either get driven somewhere (no thanks?) or I could sit and wait. I took off work for this and it sucks losing a days worth of work and still not even getting anything accomplished. Not sure about anyone else but when you have an appointment literally anywhere else, it's unacceptable to wait for 2.5 hours to be seen when you made that appointment ahead of time. Maybe just don't overwork your service center to the point of exhaustion which then leads to bad attitudes within the team and upset clientele. Just a thought. Def wouldn't recommend if you need something done in a relatively good amount of time. read more

I could not be more happier with the service that I received from these two gentlemen and the finance department. I am a pretty Picky buyer so I'm sure I wore them out but I never felt that they did not care. I'm extremely happy with my 2020 F250 platinum and the Tesla that showed up on the lot when I was buying my truck that we decided to buy. Oh man where do I start? (wait till the end... it's the best part). My a/c stopped blowing cold air on my 2020 Mustang, so I called for an appointment. Originally, I asked for the latest availability on Friday 04/02 but the employee on the phone told me if I took it in late, they would not be able to complete the service that day and they would not be able to get my car back until Monday because they do not do "big jobs" (which included my a/c) on the weekends. I went ahead and changed all of my plans for that day and scheduled an 11:40am appointment so that they would be able to service my car. I arrive at Ford for my appointment and as I'm about to turn in my keys, they asked "okay so you don't need your car today right?" Immediately, I explained to them what I was told and that I had been told if I got an early appointment today, I would get my car back the day of and that if I left it there that Friday, it would just be sitting there for 3 days since they do not work on a/c on Saturdays or Sundays. They then told me that I could take it in on Monday the 5th and they would give me a rental. Luckily, on 04/05 I didn't have to work until 10am. I show up for my drop-off appointment and to get my rental and it takes a good 30-40 mins until they check me in. After being checked in, I had to wait in another line for about 25-35 mins for my rental. I go up to the employee and she asks me if I have a reservation and I said no... they told me I would be getting a rental today. She then says "we ran out of rentals unless you have a reservation". At this point, I am BEYOND upset. This has been the biggest waste of time and everyone is telling me something different. After all of this waiting and time wasting, I was about to be late for work. I called my friend and she is able to pick me up and rush me to work. While at work, I get a call telling me what's wrong with the a/c and that they do not have the part and it would get there on Wednesday 04/07 and my car would be ready that same day. Later that day, they called me again to say they had a rental for me. Enterprise rental is inside of Ford but they only work 8am-5pm which I work 7am-5pm... Wednesday the 7th comes along and there's no word from Ford... I call and they did not receive the part. Thursday the 8th, I call and still not part. BTW, I had been paying my neighbor $40 everyday to take me to and from work and also had to UberEats almost all of my meals. Talk about a waste of money. Friday the 9th, still no part. Luckily, this day I was able to leave work early and pick up the rental car. My family and I found 3 different ROACHES in this car. I was able to kill the biggest one we saw. The other two kept getting away. On Monday the 12th I call Ford as I'm leaving work.. they say "he actually just finished." I show up and leave the rental and then FINALLY take my own car home. That same evening, I noticed that I am missing my wallet. I was almost 100% positive that I had left it in the rental so the next morning, I show up at Ford at 7am and tell them I left my wallet in the rental. They tell me they do not have access to the rental cars key dropbox and the Enterprise employee is not there. I leave them my phone number and around 9:20 am, a lady calls me saying that they checked the rental and there was nothing in the car. I asked her if they had checked under the driver seat and she said "yes". I then spent my entire lunch break retracing my steps from the previous day, going back to my previous day job location and the Wawa where I had stopped by, asking EVERYONE if they had found a wallet... no luck. On Tuesday the 13th, while I'm at work, my mom goes to Ford and talks to an employee there who he then claims to go check the car again and told her that he did not find my wallet. I waited a few days to see if it turned up and nothing did so I paid for a new license and cancelled all of my cards and ordered new ones. Today, I get a random Facebook message from a man who found my wallet inside of his Ford rental (photo attached). Ford employees lied & claimed to have looked. read more

However, I have to say if you've had a poor experience here before, you shouldn't give up on them yet. Every department has gone the extra mile to make right each past wrong. I've had to visit the dealership since my previous experiences and have noticed a major difference (in my opinion). From the sales team, service and even their third party in-house Hertz rental. After stopping at a few dealerships that either didn't have many cars in stock (seriously), or just didn't put forth much effort to show new cars to prospective buyers, Veterans Ford was a welcome change! The salesman, Timothy, was amazing! Extremely friendly and patient, willing to answer any question and let us test drive as many cars as we needed to. After the sale was complete he even took the time to make sure we knew how to work all of the car's features. We plan on going back and asking for Timothy when we purchase again in a few months. First time car buyer and it was a terrible experience - part of my problem was I bought a used infiniti from them, so they knew nothing about the car (told me I could put regular gas in the car, to put regular oil in it). But the reason I am writing this is because after I signed all my paperwork they told me to come back in because they "forgot" to have me sign something. Turns out they needed me to resign on my loan for a different bank and didn't think that was important enough for them to mention. But also, THEY RAISED MY INTEREST RATE WITHOUT TELLING ME AND MADE MY PAYMENT HIGHER. Shame on me for trusting these people and believing I was getting the same rates, but I urge everyone to spend their money somewhere they will not be taken advantage of, and not at Veterans Ford. read more

I would highly recommend going somewhere else, unless you like being lied to non stop, paying out of pocket for a rental car, because they keep your truck for over 30 days for a simple repair (that by the way after four visits to them still isn't fixed) then this is the place for you. The shop foreman wreaked of marijuana when I had to take him for a drive to show him what's wrong with my truck, this was on visit 3 by the way. Elder Ford is literally a mile down the road from me, however them constantly giving me the run around and never having my truck ready when promised I'm DONE with them. My service Tech Freddie was absolutely AWESOME. I dropped my truck off in the AM diagnosed by 11 fixed by 3! No more wobble/ vibration in the front end. I thought my tires just needed a rotation and balance turns out my steering stabilizer was shot and needed to be replaced. Luckily for me they had the part and got me back out on the road. All of that aside and for all of the profit made off of us, put some damn money back into the dealership! I recently returned to the dealership and the men's restroom still looks exactly as it did 2 years ago (new pics attached) and the lobby has the ambiance of a 70's DMV. Paid $130 for a diagnostic. Was told the issue was the back pressure sensor. They wanted 750 bucks for an 80 dollar part that takes less than half an hour to replace.... and to top it off. I replaced it and my 7.3 powerstroke is still running rough... super disappointed. Now I have to wait for another tech to read the codes for me to find out what's really wrong with it so I can fix it myself. I get it mechanic work is hard and expensive but there is no reason a sensor that is on the front of the engine should cost 670 bucks in labor, and they didn't even bother giving me the printout of the codes. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I like. read more

Not a single employee had a mask on correctly if at all (most were just hanging off their ears). This included the employees who drove my vehicle while I was there. Not to mention I had two appointments rescheduled because they misplaced or forgot parts/orders. I had to call multiple times to get any updates on my recall repair and each time was met with unprofessional attitudes and a "we'll call you back later" with no returned calls over the course of three days. Three months ago they told me that they didn't have any Bronco cars and I ordered online, to finish ordering the website tells me that I have to go to the closest dealer and unfortunately I got this dealer. I paid a deposit and mw said that in three months and when I go I see a Bronco identical to the one I had ordered online without any sold sign or anything. and upon entering they told me that the order was never made and that if I wanted the Bronco I had to pay $20,000 above the original online price. not counting the desler fee. Note to Leasers: When returning a lease to Veterans Ford for be forceful. My experience: I leased a car from Ford Credit via Veterans Ford. The lease was up so I bought a Jeep. The Jeep dealership sent Ford Credit a check on two separate occasions to pay off the lease. Ford Credit kept returning the check. Ford Credit said the check had to be sent to Veterans Ford and that Veterans Ford would then pay my lease off. I called Veterans Ford 5 times left messages and talked to 3 different people and they said if Jeep sends them a check them will return it because that is not the process. As a result of this, my account with Ford Credit got delinquent by 3 months since they refused to take a check from the Jeep dealership. Ford Credit turned me into the credit bureau for a delinquent account and now my credit score has dropped 75 points. BUYERS BEWARE! read more

I purchased a 2015 Honda Odyssey from Veterans Ford in June of 2018 . I attempted to trade the vehicle in 15 months later to be told it has structural frame damage on the car fax report. This greatly affected my trade in value. When I purchased the vehicle I was given a clean car fax report and was told it was ran through their service department and was a road worthy vehicle. The accident occurred in January of 2016 and wasn't reported for 3 years and 3 months on 4/11/2019. I called Veterans Ford and Adam told me to bring the vehicle in and he would make it right. His service department inspected the vehicle again and did say it was rear ended and had been painted. Making it right meant rolling over 4k in negative equity while being offered any other vehicle at full retail. If I would have been told the vehicle had been wrecked I wouldn't have purchased it. read more

Veterans Ford completed work on the front brakes of my 2016 F150 in January of 2021. They replaced the brake pads and machined the rotors. Recently, I needed an oil change so I scheduled one with a trusted repair center and asked them to check the front brakes due to a pulling sensation when braking. It was discovered that the brake job completed by Veterans Ford was sub par. The pads were now cracked and showed indentations of being placed incorrectly within the calipers. Also the rotors had chips and gauges in them. Pads and rotors had to be replaced which cost me $400. I attempted to discuss this with the service manager by phone and in person, however he never returned my calls and was not available when I went in person with the old brake parts as evidence. This experience went from being a one star review up to a four. My husband was in the market for a new truck, so after visiting another Tampa Bay Ford dealership, we decided to check out Veterans Ford when I saw they had the color/style truck in inventory that we were looking for. I thought it would be simple. Is the truck available? Can you match the price of the truck we viewed at the other dealership the day before? If so, great! Then we have a deal. Unfortunately, the salesperson we were given was the most abrasive, unprofessional and dishonest associate I have ever experienced. And I work in sales! This salesperson seemed very unwilling to work with my husband and I. At first she seemed unwilling to work with us on the price, even though there was no difference between the truck she found for us and the one we had viewed the day before. And she was too lazy to find out why it was more, she simply flung the paper down and told us to try and figure out the difference. Um, ok...isn't that your job!? Her math was extremely fuzzy and made no sense. It wasn't until the sales manager, Jerry, came over to help that things finally started making sense and a deal was reached (Jerry found thousands more in incentives for us that she conveniently left out). The salesperson told us that the truck was located at another dealership in Tampa, so a dealer trade was going to be done the following day. Perfect, no problem. We signed all the paperwork, they took my husband's car and gave us a dealer car. We were happily on our way. However, the following day, we did not hear from our lovely sales associate until 3:30 when she then informed us that the dealership wasn't giving up the truck. Um, what?? Wasn't this arranged the night before? She then called back and said the truck was in transit from palm beach county. So, there never was a truck in Tampa, and it's now coming from palm beach county? And we weren't getting it that day? No. My husband uses a tow hitch for his job, and he was unable to work since the dealer had his other truck! When he insisted over the phone that we needed a truck that day, she had the audacity to try and sell him a demo that had 5,000 miles on it after laughing the day before saying she would personally never purchase a demo. My husband then spoke with Jerry who was extremely apologetic and told us to come in (mind you, this dealership is over an hour away from our house). We arrived at the dealership, and Jerry greeted us right away. He apologized profusely and put us in the hands of Harold who was so kind and helpful. He ended up showing us a truck in the color we wanted, with a better engine and even more options than we had in the other truck. If the salesperson from the day before hadn't been lazy and actually had an ounce of sales skills in her, we could have walked out with that truck that night! But Harold worked out a deal for us, ran the numbers and showed us that this even better truck was completely in our payment range. Great, we have a deal! Jerry and Harold really turned this experience around for us, and I want to thank them for going above and beyond in giving us a great deal, staying past closing time and making sure everything was perfect. In the end, even though it was a hassle and a headache, we ended up getting a nicer truck that we are completely in love with, and the commission went to a much more deserving sales associate (that was part of our deal, ha!). Don't hesitate to visit Veterans Ford, we ended up getting good service, it's a nice, clean facility with plenty of inventory, and they gave us a great offer for our trade-in. I scheduled my oil change for 7am . I was there at 6:45am waiting for 7 a.m. didn't get out until 9:15 a.m. for ONLY an oil change that's a little extreme. I got a new service rep who was trying to sell me on some kind of additive to the oil I said no, he said okay. I asked him if they would look at Rodding the little washer nozzles out like they have in the past he said that was an extra charge I've never been charged before I told him don't bother. I told him I had a low air tire pressure on my truck he told me because I don't have factory size tires that I was going to have that alarm I told him NO I've had the truck since 2016 and that's not the case so he did something and reset it. I felt like he treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Felt like he was VERY MUCH LIKE a Salesman not a service rep. Very disappointed I don't plan on going back I'm going to Elder Ford where Travis Tilwick who used to work at Veterans is and gives you VIP treatment. On the paperwork they give you, your receipt it has a gold star and says if we weren't five-star please contact the service manager well you leave your name with the service manager then you don't hear anything all day. We live in the DFW area of Texas. There are MANY dealerships around here. My husband and I were looking for a specific used vehicle with specific requirements. We originally did a search for only a 200 mile radius from our home. We found ONE that matched. We contacted that dealership and started the paperwork to purchase that vehicle. Long story short, they sold it out from under us and then offered us a newer and much more expensive vehicle. My husband decided to open our search to nationwide. We found ONE other vehicle that matched our requirements-at Veterans Ford. I contacted them and the salesman that answered our call was Tom Horton. From the moment I began to explain our entire story he was completely understanding and very attentive to our situation. The thing that makes it even more difficult for our entire situation is that my husband is a pilot and was not in the country at the time we were attempting to purchase the vehicle. Once I explained that fact to Tom, he immediately assisted even more. Even with all of our circumstances and the big distance between us and the dealership, we still received our Explorer within only a couple of weeks. The finance department sent us the paperwork overnight and within a few days after they received the paperwork back, our vehicle was on a transport and being driven to us here in Texas. (Here is yet one more complication that they worked with...this was during the Thanksgiving holiday!) EVERY person that we spoke with or worked with at Veterans Ford has been absolutely incredible! Bought a used honda cr-v there, guy told me ill be able to drive off the lot same day i CASHED OUT 16K same day, so I returned my rental and have no car atm and then get told I have to wait until the morning because of insurance issues. The technical knowledge of their shop staff is questionable. Brought my vehicle in because a fuse was popping every time the thing was put into drive. I had consulted to wiring diagram and the manual and limited down what the issue could be. There was an obvious short, and the fuse being blown was always the same: the one that served the overdrive and AC. So, when the fuse would go, I'd no longer have AC. That's quite a problem in the Summer. I relayed this info to the service department, and they came back saying that the repairs would not fall under my warranty because it was somehow water related. I asked them to show me where this water damage was, but service manager only stated it was around the battery. I paid the couple hundred dollar fee, and as soon as I put it into drive, the fuse popped. The tech came out and told me it was because I had something plugged into the lighter outlet. I told him this was BS because the AC is not on the same circuit as that plug. I drove off furious and went to Brandon Ford after hours to meet up with the master tech there. We both tore the steering column and dash apart and found that the wire from the overdrive switch on the shifter had rubbed away the jacket and was touching the metal part of the frame behind the wheel. One quick appliance of electrical tape fixed this "unsolvable" problem. In short, the tech couldn't read a wiring diagram and I could never get an answer as to what exactly they did with my car for the couple days it was in the shop. It felt like a ploy to get around my extended warranty, but even then they never fixed the problem. I have a suspicion that all they did was put a new fuse in, popped it, then replaced it when they parked the car before I picked it up. Maybe hoping it wouldn't blow as soon as I put it into gear? Either way, screw this place. I shouldn't have to pay a dealership to diagnose and solve my own problem because your technicians can't comprehend simple line drawings that are in the friggin manual. read more

I told him I wanted certified Titanium Escape and he promptly brought me and my wife to new ones. I had to repeat twice what I wanted. Annoyed. I purchased a car from Veterans back in February. While I feel like I got a decent deal, I would not purchase another vehicle from them. I have purchased multiple used cars from another Ford dealer ( Walker) but was forced to go elsewhere this time since they have no vans on the lot. I guess you never know how you good you have it until you go elsewhere. We purchased a vehicle that one of the employees spouses was driving. We called the day before and they knew we were coming but the car wasn't ready, which in and of itself is no big deal. After test driving and agreeing to the vehicle, I asked if they could clean the car more as there was what appeared to be throw-up stains on the carpet in the back. I was told "This is the most we will detail a used vehicle". They funnel every customer in through their doors so you are not able to just walk the lot without being with a sales person. I had two kids in tow and we were literally there ALL day to look at one car. While I will say I think this was in part due to the fact it was my salesman first week on the job, it still took entirely too long. I am use to selecting a car, being given a pick up time and then coming back to sign paperwork and be out the door in under an hour... not an all day event. They dealer fees are significantly higher and no complimentary maintenance included like at the other dealer. It was just overall as subpar experience. read more

Poor reception, poor unprofessional customer service. This is how they treat you when you are looking to buy a car, just imagine when you have a problem with the car. Poor reflection on Ford and its leadership!! read more
