We dropped in to try this place out again on a Sunday around 12:45pm. There were some tables taken but wasn't that busy. Somehow the wines tasted better last time. We tried the all white wine flight and red wine flight. It was 5 wines for $29. Only 1 red was decent. Most of the whites were bland, had sweetness, or tasted/smelled aged. Some reds were tannic and most were fruity and dry. But the staff were nice.
Cute spot! Did not know this area existed until I stumbled upon it and there's a coffee shop and brewery and wine tasting on the block. I sat outside with my puppy. Lots of seating available. I had the tasting for $29.99 and my fave was probably the Pinot Grigio and the white wine. I then got the white wine as a glass. Definitely will be back . Service was great
Housley gets a 5/5 from me and it's all about the vibe. Honestly the music pulled us in before we even made a decision. We popped in and immediately started taking pictures because the space was just that cute. Clean, simple, family pictures on the walls and still so appealing. Paris greeted us and made us feel right at home. He broke everything down and let us take our time with the menu. Once we made our selections the fun really started. The tastings were everything and the conversation made it even better. The music had us singing every song and faking on the ones we didn't know. LOL Toward the end Brie brought it all home. Both of them really knew their stuff and it showed. We will definitely be back. Go check them out if you haven't already!
WHY WE WENT HERE: - wine tasting THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on Clinton St, closest cross street is Brown St - business and residential street parking as well as parking lot parking - at the time we were here, this was the most popping business on the block; people both inside and occupying all the outdoor seating, plus the 1990s/2000s R&B was very much up our alley THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - quaint and dainty; like an extended living room - cozy, with a splash of merch (both for the winery itself as well as for Tamera Mowry-Housley) THE MENU: - 5 wines tasting - chocolate pairing - glass of wine (white, red, or Napa cab) - bags of homemade chips and popcorn, artisan cheese, olives and charcuterie WHAT WE ORDERED: - 5 wines tasting with dealer's choice of our servers (because we don't remember what we drank) - charcuterie - we even bought a bottle of a dessert wine to take home THE TASTE: - I know it's all personal preference, but we all leaned towards the sweeter wines vs. the dry ones CUSTOMER SERVICE: - warm and welcoming - vibes were great
A very affordable option while downtown Napa! This is one of our best spots to stop by in between other places or for friends that aren't really into wine. The service is always incredible and they have the best playlist! The outdoor sitting is perfect with indoor seating as well. It's about 5/$25 which is a great option for people that don't want to spend too much.
Housley was a must see on my list while visiting Napa. This location does not take reservations so it's a first come first serve winery. Because there isn't much seating, it's very easy to get busy, so be sure to make sure to arrive earlier in the day. This tasting was one of the more affordable tastings, but don't let the low cost mean low quality, these wines were delicious! This tasting is select as you go, so you're able to select wines from lists of reds and whites. You're educated about the wine per pour, and you're provided with a detailed list of wines with prices if you want to purchase a bottle to go. The menu also offers additional add on pairings, so we selected the chocolate pairing. Each chocolate is paired with a wine, and the strawberry milk chocolate was my favorite! You're able to purchase a single glass of wine if you like one more than the other as well. Feel free to kick back, lounge on the couch and enjoy. I'll definitely return!
Such a cute and dainty place. It a nice place to just relax especially before or after a meal. The win tasing was 25$ before tax. The charcuterie board was sold. The chocolates were ok to ME. The staff were all friendly and kind. Adam was there this day and he checked on us a few times. Whoever playlist was playing 10/10. I purchased a candle as well I can't wait to burn it.
Almost a decade ago my wife and I visited the Housley's Century Oak Winery where we enjoyed a few of their offerings at the time, purchased some bottles, and were fortunate to meet Tamera Housley (I was a huge Sister Sister fan as a kid). Recently, after enjoying a good Cab at nearby JaM Cellars, my wife and I + another couple made our way to the Housley tasting room. I was totally unaware that they have a tasting room in Napa, so I was elated to experience their wines almost ten years later! When we entered the tasting room, we were warmly greeted by two employees behind the counter who were graciously assisting a large party. Since it was a fairly warm day, we opted to sit outside. Shortly after getting settled, one of the employees by the name of Mo, provided us with menus and Halloween candy for our friend's daughter. The four of us opted to taste five wines for $25 a person. Although they were fairly busy, Mo did a great job of checking in on us, and always seemed to magically appear as we were putting the finishing touches on a tasting. My only gripe (I'm using this word loosely) is that there was no background information provided pertaining to the wines that we tasted. There is a bar next door that has food options; therefore, if you have an appetite, you can place an order and bring it over to the tasting room. The Housley Napa Valley Winery is a VIBE (I do not use this word loosely)! I'm a sucker for wine and good music; if you are too, I would highly recommend visiting!
Some of the best priced tastings in Napa! We had a great time enjoying a wine and chocolate tasting inside (outside available as well, but the sun was just too harsh for us this day). The Field Blend was one of my favorites. The vibes were chill and our hosts were appropriately attentive and interactive. We didn't get an opportunity to visit the Housley Brewery down the street, but we passed by and might catch it on the next trip!
I live in Fairfield and most weekends, especially during the spring and summer months, we always make a trip to Napa. Housley is our first stop and our last stop during our trip. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable about all wines and services they offer, my favorite part is each wine has a story. The inside and outside atmosphere is great! I definitely recommend to my family and friends when they come for a visit and it's the talk of the trip!
This weekend was my second time visiting the tasting room and it was just as great as the first time. 1. Their bottles are perfect for a novice wine drinker or full-fledged aficionado. The Pinot and 2020 Estate Cab are my favorites. 2. Tastings are affordable and the playlist is a mix of oldies and groovy RNB music. 3. The living room/couch set up is COMFORTABLE with a great view of all the goodies for purchase. 4. Adam Housley walked in, greeted all the patrons, and truly made us feel welcomed. The staff are already incredibly kind and well informed, but his surprise appearance was the cherry on top. read more
My friend and I Ubered an hour North to Napa for an afternoon away. We didn't plan much besides our lunch. After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back! read more
This was our first visit coming into Napa. My sister and I had a girls weekend for my birthday. We were huge fans of Tamera and Tia, growing up so coming here was a no brainer. Paris was very helpful recommending wines to try and made our visit very enjoyable. We quickly found out my sister is not a red wine gal, and he quickly substituted her glass with white wine. Over my absolute favorite wine was the Sauvignon blanc! read more

We spent a few days in Napa and Housley was the highlight for me! I'm not into the $85 wine tasting experiences... I just want to hang out and drink good wine without having to make an advance reservation... and you can do that here. We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon, and received a warm welcome from Mo. He directed us to sit wherever we wanted, and arrived to our table with water and menus shortly after. I enjoyed a tasting of 5 wines for $25 and my boyfriend got tips for where to find good beer & cocktails later! Of course I was hoping for a Tamera sighting, but we did get a quick hello from Adam when he popped in midway through my tasting. He came right over and ensured we were taken care of... the hospitality was authentic and warm. I'll be honest... a lot of Napa is boujee and feels almost a little too exclusive for me. But Housley is a place for anyone who loves wine. My future wine tasting expeditions will probably take me to less boujee regions (Lodi, Santa Rosa, Placerville, etc)... but if I do find myself back in Napa for some reason, I'll make it a point to stop here. The wine I tasted was good, not my favorite, but paired with the good music and good people... the experience was a vibe! read more

I really want to like this place. Great atmosphere the service was great the staff was very helpful and friendly. The pricing of tasting and the price of the wine overall was great. The only problem was the wine wasn't good. I did a tasting and didn't like any of the wines. read more

We had a really enjoyable time here. We came here looking for a same day wine tasting. When I checked around for vineyards in Napa, they were all bougie and wanted me to make a reservation in advance. Boooo lol. Thankfully we found this spot and the icing on the cake was that it's owned by Tamara and her family. We were able to get a parking space right across the street in a 2 hour parking space. When we walked in, the music and the vibe was so welcoming. The staff was welcoming as well. They told us to grab a seat at any open spot. We found one and they brought a menu. The flight with 5 wines of your choice was only $25. You really can't beat that. The potato chips they have for purchase at the back are delicious. Really enjoyed the chili lime. The wines were tasty, at least the one I had was. They only had one sweet option so that's what I had. We'll definitely be back. Proud of you Tamara! read more

To put it simply, Housley Napa is A WHOLE VIBE!! At least, it was when I spent my birthday (Nov 8) there, and that also had a lot to do with my friends, another group of ladies that was also there, as well as the staff. Quite honestly, I had only planned to do a wine tasting there and then have lunch, where I would cut my birthday cake (it was in a box since I had it delivered to me while at breakfast that morning from a bakery in Fairfield). Well, lunch ended up being canceled, Happy Birthday was sung to me there, I cut my cake (shared with my friends, patrons having wine there, and the staff), and danced. Paris and Tavita really made my time there feel so celebrated, and it was my first time in Napa. Tavita also line-danced with us (and he was sooooo good at it - literally better than me)! My friends and I did do a wine tasting while there and the wine is really good. Before leaving, we all purchased a few items and I picked two bottles of wine and some bourbon to have shipped to me. And while there were no full and formal wine descriptions during our tasting like at other places you may visit in Downtown Napa, it does not take away from how good the wine is or the vibe that is there. I know many people go with the hopes of seeing Tamera or Adam. But honestly, the real superstars are Paris, Tavita, and Owen. They do an amazing job of making you feel welcome and like family. So glad I got to have an exciting, fun, and unexpected mini birthday celebration there. Oh, and thank you, Adam, for the birthday pic. I wish I would have taken one with Tavita and Paris. Maybe the next time I decide to visit Napa. read more

I have been wanting to come here since I moved to the Bay Area! Originally I went to Tamera's other location out in Lodi or whatever it's called but this is the one I have always wanted to come to! Finally I made it!! It was so worth it too! Although small I loved the welcoming feel it has as you walk in with family photos all over the wall and the cutest decor! We ordered wine and sat and chatted away with the sommelier's! Honestly it was a better experience talking with her about wine than I had at one of the other wineries in town she was really knowledgeable. I wish I could remember her name but she was fantastic! Also let's be honest I came here in the hopes of running into Tamera and being able to take a photo with her. Unfortunately I had just missed her so that was a huge disappointment but it just gives me reason to return! At the last visit to her other winery I bought some merch you know a little shirt and bottle of their brandy that they also produce and it's top quality! So of course I had to do the same thing here! I got their candle which I burn and smells amazing and some wine bottles to go! I'll be back again soon Tamera!! Hope to see you there! read more

One of the highlights of my trip to the Northern California region! I was staying in Fairfield, CA, and decided to pop over to Napa. I have been a longtime follower of Tamara Mowry-Housley, so visiting Housley Napa Valley had been on my list for a while. I am not a sommelier, but I am an internationally recognized Certified Specialist of Wine and have done extensive viticulture studies. So, you know I had to check it out! I made sure to approach the tasting from a wine appreciation perspective rather than just as a fan. THE WINE WAS AMAZING! The parking isn't far from the entrance to the tasting room, but since there are many establishments in the area, finding a spot could be challenging. There is outdoor seating, but I chose to sit inside. I visited the tasting room alone, but at no point did I feel alone. The music and overall ambiance were very inviting and encouraging. There was another woman enjoying a glass of wine to my right, and we chatted briefly. The customer service is top-notch! Two gentlemen were working the tasting room that day, and they interacted with guests in a way that felt natural and comfortable. You could tell they had great relationships with the locals and truly treated every guest equitably. The seating was cozy and comfortable--it truly felt like I was in someone's living room. There was a lot of merchandise available for purchase. I opted for two tasting experiences, which allowed me to sample 10 wines for $50. I tried: Art's Nemesis Rosé Sonoma Pét-Nat Napa Pinot Grigio Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc Carneros Pinot Noir A3H Petit Syrah Adam and Tamera's Field Blend Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Housley Valley Cabernet Every single wine was truly exceptional. Definitely stop by and enjoy your time! I would set aside at least two hours to fully soak in the experience. read more

We stopped in on Houseley in a whim. It was Saturday afternoon, we'd recently wrapped up our reservation for a tasting at another winery, and we had some time to kill in Napa Valley. So I called a couple of other tasting rooms I'd been interested in when originally planning our itinerary and Houseley was the one that had space and opportunity for us to just pop in. They don't accept reservations so it's truly a first come/first served experience. It's a small/compact tasting room compared to the others we visited but it's very open and homey at the same time. Based on some of the things I read while there, I gathered that the space is designed to feel like you're in the family living room. The staff is awesome! They feel very down to earth in a relaxed way. It feels like you're hanging out in a space run by your cousins and friends and then they hit you with the background on the wine they're pouring just like any other winery. I don't know how to describe it other than to say that the living room vibe is both about the decor and about the company you'll find in the staff. The bathroom is single-use and very clean. AND...it has a skinny mirror!! You know how some mirrors make everything appear thinner? Yeah, it's one of those. So I was looking slim and trim in there! Now, about the merchandise: I'd bought shirts at all other wineries we visited but Housley had an array of snacks and cooking products (oils and sauces and such) so I bought some house-made chips (the Maui onion flavor) and and chocolate toffee caramels. Both were fine; neither were something I loved enough to track down in the future. read more
While in Napa for the weekend, we went to this cute little wine tasting place. This Place happened to be owned by the actress Tia Mowry-Housley and her husband. The place was very cute. I Loved the decor and the pictures of the Housley family throughout the place. Nice amount of seating for inside and outside. I tried a red blend which was nice and smooth. The service was excellent. A gentleman with a cute ponytail to the side assisted us and made our experience fun. They have games you can play and they sale chocolates, popcorn, chips, etc. You can also buy souvenirs for loved ones or friends (T-shirt and hats). This place is great for wine tasting and hanging out with family and friends. I will return to this winery when back in town. read more

Yes they are. We take our 15/13 year old girls often with us.
Does this winery allow kids? I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old.
Yes, they do allow kids. I went with my two year old and she sat on our laps but they can always sit down in the chair if they are able or sit in their stroller. They are super family friendly which I love! :)
Do we need reservations?
No, reservations are not required. You have to wait to be seated. There is a time limit for those seated. So, the wait is not long.
