nice experience i guess. not very talkative or polite but nothing to complain about the people besides feeling a bit rushed. the pedicure, however $40, was not worth it. don't gas the pictures of our feet because as soon as we got in the car we had to take pictures of our TERRIBLE pedicures. BOTH of us noticed majority of our toes only had one coat, leaving us a nasty sight of our uneven polish and half painted big toes. white toes were done SLOPPY. PEELING OFF MY RIGHT NOW WHILE WERE STILL DRIVING HOME . would have been higher stars if the pedicure had been anything but a glorified food wash. 2 seconds of gentle scrubbing and she swore we both got foot massages but neither of us could tell when that would've happened during our services. applied a scrub on our legs and washed it off (didn't even scrub it in) and put some oil on at the end. read more

Went in for a fill and pedi. The gal was very nice and personable. She listened to my concern regarding the lotion on my legs at the end of the pedi (I have eczema and cant use lotions with any scents or dyes). So she used just the cuticle oil. All was fine and later she even asked how my skin felt. I thought that it nice for her to make sure I was comfortable. With my fill, I had a one that needed repair. She used a tip to remove was needed. Then instead of cutting my nail and applying a new tip, she shaped my natural nail and did an overlay instead. It was a nice touch and I appreciated that she had a natural look in mind from the get go. Originally I thought of getting an airbrush design so when I asked, I was a little surprised that she said she didn't do airbrush. The front window sign had Airbrush listed. I had white done on the tips for a french manicure look; she them by hand and they came out looking very nice. I think the icing on the cake about this place is they do a "punch card" after 9 paid services presenting a card each time 10th is free. And for those who may be curious or would use it they offer free WiFi. (I didn't use it). Total $40 for a pedi and fill with design. read more

Most nail shops that I've been to lately seemed annoyed when I walked through the door, like they didn't want my business or money. Not this place! They made me feel so welcomed and went the extra mile and not charging me extra for things that should normally be included in a pedicure. Amazing customer service. I am completely and totally unimpressed. I was lead here based on reviews from yelp. I must says experience was vey different than everyone who posted. I walked in and the only thing I was told was "pick a color". The woman who worked on my feet never once introduced herself. The water in the pedicure bowl was cold despite me asking a couple times for hot water. My pedicure was rushed and not very good. They did not allow enough time for my cuticles to soften before they started digging in....ouch. My nails were never buffed to ensure the polish applied smoothly. Polish everywhere.... But hey, Who says you have to only polish the nail? I won't ever come again. read more

I first stumbled in here about 9 years ago. During that time I have also gone to other salons, just to be reminded why I always come back here. My primary reason is that my pedicures are very thorough. I've never been anywhere else that there is such care to make sure that all the corners of my nails are perfect and will not be problematic for me in the future. They can be a bit aggressive, but gently aggressive to make certain that the work is done correctly. The scrubbing, massaging, and exfoliating are all done with purpose, not just going through the motions. This is a wonderful family run business and they have me as a customer for life. read more

I just wanted to come back and say that I continue to use this nail salon exclusively. Even when I got lazy over the winter about getting pedicures (I know, gross), they remembered my name and how long it had been since I'd been in when I finally came back in the spring. Oh, and they got great new massage chairs since my first review. This place is literally a "Mom and Pop" shop (no other employees) and I'm happy they give me great reasons to support it. They don't require an appointment, but I highly recommend making one, even if you just call ahead on the same day. I tend to go on weekday afternoons, when you wouldn't expect it to be super-busy, but I've seen them have to turn away multiple clients who didn't have appointments. read more

My feet have never been this clean! I know that may sound gross but honestly. I'm a regular pedicure patron but decided to try a new spot since moving to Tukwila. Loved the attention to detail and the fact that this is a family run business. The husband did my nails while his 11 year old son gave me water. While visiting from Canada, I found this location and was extremely impressed with the service! They did my nails to perfection!! The way I asked/short/squared/rounded. They made them beautiful!! I went for a simple manicure and decided on this place because of the excellent reviews. I don't know where the friendly family members were that others on this site seem to rave about. I wasn't treated rudely but certainly was not greeted in a friendly manner (and I don't like gushing service). There was one young woman in the shop the day I went. She seemed totally uninterested in me as a customer and in her job. Performed the manicure in a perfunctory way and was a bit careless about putting the nail polish on around the cuticles. Never have I been in pain while getting a manicure until I went to this nail salon. My cuticles were shoved back without any prep, then cut away until some fingers bled. As I looked around, I saw how unsanitary everything seemed. The white towel that was put under my hands was stained and had small pieces of various debris. An obviously used tissue was also used to dry my nails. The paint job was not impressive either. They didn't cover my full nail and it was quite messy on the sides. The people there were very very nice and I was able to have a good conversation with them. I hate to talk badly about someone's business, but I was left with irritated, peeling, and bloody skin around my nails. Will not be returning. read more

There was a guy who worked on my nails and he hurt me twice. First while clipping my cuticles he cut me and I bled, he didn't even acknowledge he did it. Then he wasn't paying attention and sanded my nail WAY to thin. I yelped and pulled my hand back. He blamed everything but himself for doing this. Saying my nails are thin already, the person who did my nails last messed up, etc etc. No, you did it. That has never happened to me in my entire acrillic nail life. I'm telling you guys it hurt so bad I was literally crying in my chair. Just the slightest touch to my nail caused me extreme pain. This place has made me fear getting my nails done again. One of my nails popped off and my friend who went with me had a nail break in half not even a full week later. After all is said and done they didn't offer me anything for the pain they caused me. I loved the owner who did my pedi!!! She worked on my feet and did a wonderful job and was very gentle and took her tome and took special care of my ingrowns on my big toe! Her place of business is very clean and I will be coming to her for mow on in the future!!! read more

My regular manicurist went back to Vietnam until the end of the year so I needed to find a replacement. Went to yelp to see the highest rated salon in the 98146 area. ViVi was a 5 star rated establishment so I thought I'd give them a try. I called them and they were able to get me in within an hour. Walked in and Lynn was working on another customer but she acknowledged me and started my pedi bath while I waited. I got to say that i'm glad she couldn't get to me right away because that meant I got to be in the massage chair longer. They just finished a big remodel (with brand new massage chairs - top of the line) so the shop looks great. Lynn and her husband are they two manicurist and they are so nice. As a first time customer, her husband gave me a bottled water and new flip flops (not the cheap thin ones the others give when you forget your flip flops). I will definitely go back. read more

Horrific!!! Went there because of reviews. Made an appointment in advance. Walked in on time. The woman was doing a child's manicure so an older man had me sit down to soak my feet. He then proceeded to trim my nails and cuticles for 30 minutes. Rough and painful. I kept telling him and he'd say he'd be gentle. Horrible. My toes and feet were sore for days. I've never had anyone cut into my toes like that. He even went on to paint my nails. I was desperate to get it over so just let him. Should have spoken up or walked out. Terrible job. 5 hours later the Polish was still soft and smeared. Don't let him touch you!!!! read more

Will not return. I asked for a pedicure with polish and a manicure without polish. I left with bleeding on two toes, a bad pedicure which I can do nothing about at the moment because of the cuts, and basically no manicure. The folks here are incredibly nice and I wanted to like this place but I am very dissatisfied. A little more attention to detail and a little less attention towards the television would be greatly appreciated. Not only did the television distract from the work, so did a personal phone call. I should have left after the first "mistake" but small cuts can happen from time to time so I let the work continue. Big mistake as the next cut was pretty major. Did I notice the red flag when he brought out the almost-empty container of stuff to stop the bleeding? A few doses of that, then he tells me to stick my foot back in the water. Hey! I have cuts and you want me to put my foot back in unclean water? Really?? So he finished up the pedicure which took twice as long as expected due to distractions. Then I move to a table for the manicure. Great! I appreciate not having a manicure attempted while the pedicure is going on. But imagine my surprise when she quickly soaks each hand in cold water, then buffs my nails with the buffing attachment. No cuticle attention, no trimming, no filing - just a quick and incomplete buff. When I got home, all I could do was disinfect the toes as well as possible and file my nails. What a huge disappointment for what is supposed to be a treat I give myself. read more
