It was my first time visiting First Hair and Nails Salon. Someone from another shop highly recommended it, so I decided to give it a try. The woman who took care of me was very kind and friendly. I've always had issues with the way my nails curve downward, but when I told her I didn't like the "Volkswagen" shape, she immediately understood and shaped my nails to be straight. She really listens to her customers. I was also impressed by how much the salon offers--facials, haircuts for both men and women, and more. They were especially kind and attentive to their older customers, which I appreciated. Later, I saw her doing eyelash services for another client, and I got excited realizing this salon truly offers everything you might need for a day of self-care. DO NOT GO HERE. (unless youre a HEALTH INSPECTOR.) If i could give this place 0 stars I WOULD. They absolutely messed up my hair. The lady that did it (i dont know her name) did NOT listen to what i had to say, DID HER OWN THING, and RUINED my hair. She's incompetent and saw me as a joke when i tried telling her how badly she messed up as nice as possible but clearly since she was smiling and laughing the whole time she thought what she did was funny so i dont care what good experiences other people have, ITS NOT A GOOD PLACE. Now on to the health inspection parts, there was weird stains on the carpets and walls, it was hot as hell in there, it STUNK like death. So I have a mixed reaction to their service. Went here the first time today. The lady (who I think is also the owner) did the foot spa with pedicure. But before that, I told her I need the corner of my big toe nail cut. After soaking and scrubbing of my foot, she proceeded into cutting into my toe nail. She got in way deeper that I wanted. I just told her I need the corner nail that's digging into my skin cut and she thought I want the entire side of my toe nail cut. So now I have a problem of not only having to get the corner nail cut but the entire side as well. So ok, she did it right on the other foot. But I couldn't turn back the time and get the nail on the other foot done right, right? So my husband was surprised that after less than thirty minutes, I was calling him to pick me up. He said that was the quickest foot spa I ever had and I said it was more of a production line where they heard you in as quickly as they herd you back out. read more

I have been coming here for a few years on and off. Sometimes I feel like getting pampered, sometimes I don't. Before you go, just remember, they are a very small shop. 2 haircut chairs, 3 pedi chairs, 1 or 2 mani chairs, and a waxing bed. That's it. But, when I go, they remember me. They have a large selection of colors to choose from, both shellac and regular. They open at 9 am, which is a little earlier than other places in my area, so I am able to sneak in, get my services done, and sneak back out before it gets too busy. Definitely an ER stop. Two women show including Tina who is the owner. When the front door is not wide open, it is hard to breath in the store filled with the chemical smells. They have a very small polish selection and the polishes are very well used/old. Regarding cleaningness, they are not dirty. It's just run down looking. I went in for a trim and to have them fix a slightly longer piece on one side and the lady busted out the clippers and buzzed the back of my neck. my wolf cut became an A-line cut. she smiled and laughed and insisted she did a great job while I told her that I was not happy. Two years ago they said they had a lady that tattoos eyebrows well her friend came in and i laid on the table she tatooed a line the shape of an eyebrow it was deep know that it's fadeded you can see the outline its terrible i should got my money back!! so disappointed with this salon after reading the positive reviews. I scheduled an appointment 2 days in advance for pedi and fake nails. showed up and they didnt recall the appt but took me anyways. its clearly more about getting the customer out as quickly as possible because just as I sat down for the pedi they start on my manicure while I'm in the seat... No big deal really, but they didnt put a towel down and got nail dust all over my clothes. The pedicure massage was amazing, and this is why i give them a 3 out of 5. That womans massage is where any stars comes from. But the pedi itself was no executed well. She did not apply a base or top clear coat. just 2 layers of thin paint, and to be honest I was immediately unhappy. I also noticed she didnt pull out a brand new pumice stone which kinda freaks me out. But then the fake nails... just awful. I went there literally 14 days ago and my nails are lifting from the poor quality or lack of adhesive. One nail is fully off already without any incident, just peeled right off... I have had plenty of fake nails in the past and i wouldnt usually see the nail lifting for about 4-6 weeks, not 2. Needless to say I will not be returning. First, I stopped at a different nail place up the road but after waiting for over 20 minutes after seating me in a pedicure chair and feet in water & my feet were getting wrinkly soaking in the water, I got up & left and decided to try this cute little place. Although the parking is next to impossible here, that is a minor inconvenience. The shop is small but very clean. The service was wonderful. 3.5 stars Went in on a sunny Saturday afternoon and I was the only client. Got a spa pedi and my nails look fantastic! The massage chair was comfy and the nail color selection was great. I parked across the street since their parking spaces were behind the building and since my car had recently been broken into I wanted to park in a more visible area. They exposed a scar on the right side on the back of my head by creating a semi bald patch on that right side. I told them not to go too short back there, but they did it anyway. Made me pay $12. Do NOT go to them unless you're prepared to look foolish. I can't cover this spot up or comb it over because it's too damn short. I'm very embarrassed to be going out with how they made me look. The ladies here so such a great job! I come in for a razor shave every week and they're super bubbly and Happy to see me every time. It's a small shop and gets quite busy on weekends so I recommend coming on weekdays. They offer a ton of services for hair, nails and body treatments too and they end every haircut with a relaxing scalp massage. read more

Cindi is amazing. She has been cutting the hair of all of my family members for The Last 5 Years. Including my oldest son's first several haircuts at just over a year old. She was incredible cutting his hair while he was curious and Wiggly. Haircut came out great. I've also had my nails done several times. This place is sooo small and there are not a lot of parking space either. But the service is soo cheap and great and Cindy and Lynn are amazing! Also, friendly and polite. They have eyelash extensions for a new set for 40 dollars. and a refill for 20!!!! How can you beat that? I love her attention to detail with my eyebrows wax because I tend to be picky with the shaping part. And I was nervous to give this place a try but after my excellent eyebrows wax I decided to also add a pedicure to see how they are with nails and I must say, "Whoo-oo" because they even gave me a paraffin dip with my pedicure. We are new to the area and I was in search of a salon who did mani/pedi combos for kids. My daughter was turning 6 and wanted her nails done for her birthday. My little sister is also 6 and never had been to a nail shop. Not all places accept children because they can be hard to work with but they were more then happy and welcoming when we came in! The atmosphere was so relaxed and they had everything ready for us even though I'd made an appointment only 2 hours prior. Wonderful ladies! They even came and conversed with my baby sister who speaks Vietnamese in Vietnamese! It made it that much more of a great first time experience for her. I had a pedi myself and I work construction. Feet in boots all day made their work cut out for them and I left with beautifully polished baby soft feet. I found this place by using Yelp. They had really good reviews but not a lot of them. I thought I'd go ahead and check them out. Normally, I look for the place with the most and the best reviews. I'm sooo glad I did it different this time. These ladies are awesome! They are quick and very thorough. I couldn't believe how nice and friendly they were. The entire experience was fantastic! This place is small but nice. There is parking in the back. They cut hair, do manicures, pedicures, shellac (gel), waxing, paraffin and even permanent eye brows and liner tattoo. I will not go to this place ever again. I went in today for a hot oil hair treatment and the owner was extremely disrespectful, she made a comment that "the last time I was there I didn't have as many pimples, now I have a lot". She also tried to touch my face and I quickly had to jerk away and tell her not to touch my face. Her and the girl were talking about me in Vietnamese and laughing. First off, please don't give me advice that's not wanted, second of all DO NOT TOUCH me if I didn't ask to especially in the face. THIRD, don't sit there and talk crap about me and laugh. Last but not least they hair treatment was ok but the girl did not even put oil on my scalp! That is the whole point of a deep conditioning treatment. Because of the 5 star reviews, I went to try this place out. There were 3 ladies working and all presented great service. One did hair, the other two nails and massages. I went in for a pedicure. The lady who was working on me was amazing! She took her time, asked me a couple of questions to attempt conversation, but left me to relax while she worked (how I like it when it's a much needed pedi and massage). The foot massage was amazing. I even did the paraffin dip. The only reason why I gave them a 4 and not 5 is because the top coat that they used dried sloppy, bumpy and not smooth. I didn't even check before I left. I discovered it at home. I would definitely return again to try other service and another pedi! I would probably just ask or double check the top polish prior to leaving. read more

I got my lash extensions done here and the very next day had extreme irritation. The lash tech clearly clumped multiple lashes at a time causing discomfort, redness and inflammation. I ended up going back the day after and having them remove it. The price is cheap for a reason! read more

We came here by mistake, I thought it was a barber shop but since we had already parked we figured we would just check it out. Hubby's hair grows like it's on Miracle Gro so we can afford to take a bad cut. Walked in and got seated immediately, and when she asked what we wanted we got a bit indecisive. No problem! She pulls out a book of men's hair cuts, we sift through a couple, point at one and she gets to work. She offered to do a shave for $20, I think, but we declined. Hubs went in looking like the Geico cave man and left like the handsome hair model from the book! I felt a bit self conscious with my slightly frizzy curls. We regret not taking the shave, but we will be more trusting at the next visit. Fast and cheap and good! What more does a guy need? read more

Decided to give this place a try after reading the great reviews on Yelp... And I'm SO glad I did! I went in for a nail fill and a pedicure, both were done professionally and with friendly CS. The massage I received during the pedicure was worth the cost of both services all by itself! I ended up also getting my hair cut.
