Here they make their ice cream with real fruit. You pick your base, I picked coconut and then you pick your fruit add-on. Since it's mango season, I had to get the mango! Mango and coconut is one of my fav combos ever. I got their nui size (big) and they also have a small keiki size. At first they actually made me a keiki size, and I didn't really notice the difference and took it. But then they made me a second keiki size because of the mixup. We could not finish 2 keiki sizes, but we tried and they were delicious! It's kinda between an ice cream and a frozen yogurt with the texture and sweetness. It is not too sweet - in the best way - and it's light, similar to soft serve. They offer a vanilla and coconut base as well as a non-dairy coconut milk base for vegans and those lactose-intolerant. Frozen yogurt is their fourth alternative. Pick a fruit - I've requested strawberry and pineapple - and then pick a base. I paired the strawberry with vanilla; and also mixed pineapple with coconut...both were excellent. The latter was in a waffle cone, also not coying in sugary sweetness. They offer several fruits to add to your base of choice...it is all about the base, however...such as mango, lilikoi, and blueberry. Third time is the charm... For us here at Ala Moana Center as Sweet as has just opened on Friday March 22nd 2024...and how sweet is that! Located on the third level right above the centerstage making it a great place to take that needed break from shopping g and taking it all in. Concept is pretty simple...ice cream (vanilla or coconut), frozen yogurt or dairy free coconut +$1 with a fruit of your choice to add either a single or double scoops sized and for an additional dollar upgrade to house made waffle. I went for it and got the double with dairy free coconut and thought that pineapple would be the best to pair with and had to try it with the waffle and gosh what a system they have as it was made super fast! It looked more like a frozen yogurt type of consistency as it was solid hard and the chunks of pineapple blended in to the dairy free coconut was amazing btw it was so light and very mellow and the waffle was a bit thin but did held its own and didn't crack under the pressure. They have this contraption to blend your base with the fruit of your choice to then dispense it so beautifully is indeed a work of art. Along with some seating provided right beside the kiosk is a nice way to casually enjoy your treat. The vibe here is very friendly and nice a bit pricey in my opinion though the quality I did enjoy but may not get the waffle cone the next time so that I don't feel rushed to enjoy this bougie treat.
