Thrills 7 years anniversary and they celebrated with a BTS theme. It was good timing because BTS is doing their ARIRANG WORLD TOUR right now. I picked their Sprinkle Me ice cream which is a cup filled with madagascar vanilla ice cream, smeared with buttercream frosting on top, and finished with a lot of sprinkles. It was pretty good. I like vanilla ice cream and frosting with sprinkles gave it a classic birthday cake vibe. My favorite was the Japanese Purin soft serve. A custard ice cream with a hint of brown sugar taste and I added reese's pieces to make it better. Also, thrills gave out BTS Arirang tour photo cards and an army (BTS fan) gave me RM: right people, wrong place photo cards from RM's concert film documentary. Thank you to them. You generally have to find parking along the street, which is relatively limited depending on the time of day, as there are a couple street parking spots in front of the shop that are often occupied. Thrills has a parking lot behind their shop, but I didn't realize that it's now a QR code system where you have to pay. I like how they renovated their shop to add new seating. All of their desserts are very creative. I got the hojicha creme brûlée, which is one of my favorite things from here. The creme brûlée topping is so good and has the perfect amount of crunch on the top. The only bummer thing about the creme brûlée is that you can't get their weekly special flavors as the ice cream. We walked over for dessert after eating at Totoya across the street. It was my first time here even though I pass it all the time. You can change the soft serve flavors but the oatmilk is great if you're lactose intolerant ;) For those who love ube and something purple, we also tried their ube soft serve with the charcoal cone. The ube is missing the ube flavor but it's definitely a pretty purple, lightly sweetened soft serve. It's not ube though! The charcoal cone tasted a regular cone. They also have the crème brûlée with soft serve of your choice. It's a good pair with banana oatmilk soft serve. The name caught my attention so I had to try their Slay b!tch Slay with ube soft serve. Again the ube is missing the ube flavor but it's got the pretty purple color and lightly sweetened soft serve. I shoulda picked something more fruitier to match the peach mango flavor. The sorbet had a nice bright flavor and smooth texture.
