We ordered two cheese pies.Pizza was very good as always consistent never too oily. I also ordered a small Greek salad. The lettuce was crisp and plenty of feta cheese. The service is always friendly. This is a basically a take out pizza place. There are tables available if you want to grab a slice but it is not intended to be a dine in restaurant. Pizza slices are HUGE! We got the large BBQ chicken pizza pie and 6 garlic knots for 5 people. Ended up having two slices left over for the next day. There's a small sit down area when you walk into the restaurant, but it is mostly meant for take out. The food itself is quite solid, I think it makes for a consistently 7-8/10 slice. This spot is absolutely a regular for me given its ease, price, quality, and portion sizes. For a bonus, I do also love getting pizza dough from them and making homemade pizza. Every single thing we ordered was mind blowing good. Opened the pizza box the second we got back into the car (parked directly in front of Via) and i wouldnt be surprised if the folks there got 1st row seats to the two of us doing the "this is soooo good" head nod over and over. Incredible crust and balance of toppings. We got a few slices and garlic bread and chicken parm. The slices are huge as well as the serving of chicken parm being able to feed a fam of 3-4. Updating my review to say that I've been here many times, and it's still my favorite pizza place in the area. The guys behind the counter are always very friendly, and the pizza is always delicious. I love their crust, and their vegetable toppings are great. I'm especially a fan of their mushrooms--I've been disappointed by some other local places that serve wet, soggy mushrooms on top of the pizza. I'm also really grateful that Via now offers a vegan cheese option. I tried it for the first time the other day, and it was delicious! I'll definitely be ordering it again. I was at a work party a few months ago, and someone had several pizzas delivered. Everyone was commenting on how good it was. I was not surprised to find out it was from Via! read more

This is a very small, unassuming little pizzeria. My wife and I had a dog rescue fund raising event nearby and we had 45 minutes to kill, so with our bellies rumbling, we stopped off for some pizza. With no prior knowledge of this particular establishment, all I could repeatedly say to myself was, "please don't suck, please don't suck." They didn't suck. Instead of my usual two regular slices, I went for the gold. I got one regular, one Sicilian, and a pepperoni pinwheel. My wife ordered a lasagna slice. The pinwheel was perfect, with pepperoni and a little bit of ham wrapped up in there. It was delicious. Moving onto my Sicilian slice, what can I say? The perfect amount of cheese, the crust was both soft and crisp. The sauce was tangy without being overly obvious. My wife's lasagna slice was fantastic. In fact, it was huge. I almost felt like they mistakenly gave us two slices, just forgetting to run the cutter down the middle. There was no chance that she was going to finish even a third of it, and since we knew we weren't going to eat leftovers at home (that's how I stay skinny), I took the bullet. It was a carb explosion, but it was totally worth it. Amazing, amazing, amazing. On top of all of that, the service was extremely friendly and attentive. I wish I lived in the area, I would go there more often. However, the next time I'm going by, I will remember to pull in and get something. Their selection is large for such a small place. Also got a grandma Sicilian style pizza which was average (although to be honest I think I just personally prefer a higher cheese-to-tomato ratio, which contradicts the basic concept of a Sicilian pizza). The pizza was a low 3 but the service brings it down. It was busy on a friday night which I completely understand. After waiting for 5 minutes at the counter a "regular" walks and literally 2 seconds in gets their order taken while im standing right there. I got my order taken right after but it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. The other thing was that the pinwheel I got was stuck to the paper and the insides fell through the bottom. It turned into a gloopy mess that didnt taste that good. The lasagna slice and garlic knot slice were pretty good though. I can't tell which I liked better, my pizza or the service. I shy away from pizzerias (or eating out for that matter) because of my severe allergy to parsley. I went in with my mom after an exhausting day half expecting to be turned away just as every other pizza place does when I scare them with my food allergies. We just moved into the area and have been trying to find our new go to takeout restaurants. Driving down the road not far from my house, I almost missed Via Pizza. This tiny little pizzeria on the North side of 25 is low key and easy to miss. But look for it and find it, you'll be glad you did. After pulling into the parking lot, I quickly checked yelp. There were no customers inside, which for a pizza place is usually a bad sign, but after quickly reading some reviews I decided it was worth a try. I ordered a ziti slice. It was delicious. My fiancé ordered a buffalo slice and a regular slice. We both really enjoyed our food. While we were eating more and more people started coming in. They seem to do a fair amount of takeout. We must have arrived during a lull. We liked our food so much we returned the following week for another go around. I ordered a pinwheel (pepperoni and ham) and white slice my fiancé ordered a tortellini slice and another regular slice. Once again, we were both pleased. I think we've found our new pizza place:) They make a lot of unique specialty slices, ones I haven't seen everywhere else and their regular slice is quite good too. Lest you forget... I'm Asian, so what do I know about pizza? Not as much as you probably, but I do know that good pizza is a moving target; different things to different people. Out here on Long Island are a LOT of Italians. Not all the Italians from Italy, but they are Italians nonetheless. So this vest-pocket strip-mall pizzarria has a lot of credibility already going for it. Add to that an in-house mom (not the enormous apron-wearing broken-English speaking kitchen bully of yore, but a petite engaging, black turtleneck wearing, probably Saab-driving 21st century version). It felt like family working there with non-blood interns shoring up the stafft. Oh yeah, our call-in pizza was not made when we arrived. "Aiiiee" I think was the exact word uttered. So thick was the conversation with a regular in there about both the Giants and The Jets (ohh The Jets) not making it all the way that they had forgot completely to make our order. But we forgave that and joined in with the banter. Lucky for them we were football-friendly. They were truly sorry and overcompensated by giving us not the large salad we ordered but one-an-a-half times that. Also free garlic twists. As for the pizza it was good, different to me, but good; an anchovy and mushroom version. I thought the crust was too bulbous and large and the greater substrate, although having plenty of tensile strength, had too little compressive strength. Meaning? It did not have the structure to allow one to fold a slice in half (a la city) and not have it maintain its delta shape. Picture instead an origami crane's beak. The salad was excellent as were the twists. There were also interesting things in the glass cases, calzones etc. to marvel at. That alone made me want to come back. Conclusion? No great shakes; not the classic NYC street corner slice, but good competent pizza made with a big Italian heart. So style differences be damned I could get used to this. After all, Via is just another alternate pizza reality in the giant food mall of life. So go! Mangia! It's alright... read more

The pizza is not bad but the prices are crazy. I paid $25 for a large 2-topping pizza (Hawaiian). I called in my order for pickup without seeing a menu and was extremely surprised at the total when I paid. The pizza itself was solid, although nothing exceptional that would justify the premium price. I would categorize it as "sloppy thin-crust". This is not a wood-fired pizza place with gourmet toppings or something like that. It's a little better than the Domino's down the street, but Domino's charges $8 for a large 3-topping pie during the week, which is a vastly better deal. Via's pizza definitely isn't worth triple the price. The store itself is unremarkable: a small place in a strip mall with a few seats. This just a take-out pizza parlor, not a full restaurant. Overall I would say the pizza itself gets a 4/5, but I'm knocking the total down to 2/5 because I just feel ripped off by the outrageous price. read more
