This is one of my favorite places to get Take out Pizza as it is so close to campus and right across the street from the train station. The pizza is always piping hot when I get it and stays that way until I get home. They have always been reliable and their prices aren't that bad. My favorite slice to get here is the Onion Slice. The best deep dish (Sicilian pizza). It's wonderful and they can put many different toppings on and you can hold it with your hand and it has a greatest crust that you can imagine. The quality has been good over the last 25 years. The pizza is so plentiful you will probably eat it for a couple of days. I have a stone in the oven and I put it in for about 400 degrees for 10 minutes and it tastes terrific. read more

I love pizza and when Mario's closed I searched for a new local source. One was too expensive, another so heavy with garlic that I could still taste it days later. Several opened and closed. Then I remembered Station Pizza and Brew by the Stony Brook train station. It isn't much to look like and I didn't see anyone with a brew but the pizza was outstanding. The crust was crisp, the sauce tasty and the cheese was just the right amount- not overwhelming the flavor. And the price was reasonable. I've found my new "go to" and I urge you to give it a try. Honestly, I'm giving this place a 5 star for the knots alone. Been coming here for years. It's no frills pizza place right off the Stony Brook campus. Pizza there is always good and decently priced. But those knots are incredible. Always soft and fluffy with enough oil and garlic to ward off a family of Cullens. When I miss NY style pizza this Station Pizza is the place I go to . I have been going to this place since 1990 and it's my favorite place on Long Island! The cheese is fresh and chewy and the sauce is just right w lots of tomatoes and flavor and the crust ID thin and crispy but chewy. Everywhere I go in the US I crave Station Pizza. Good pizza place close to the Lirr. If you are looking for slices and not the whole pizza- this is the place to be at. Good taste, good price, good quantity. cozy place right across from campus, it's comfortable walking distance from the train station. This place has been here for years and I mean yeaaars. my parents used to come here when they went to college so it's definitely survived this long for a reason. the sauce on the pies is actually really good by itself it's sweet but not overly sweet at the prices are decent. They have good garlic knots too and they're above average sized. The seating is a little limited if you have a big party but if you don't have more than 6 you should be fine. read more

Great local pizza with a unique flavor to their sauce / try the Sicilian or one of their meat combo pies - really thick and tasty

Station Pizza gets a 3 for the pizza and a 5 for the garlic knots, so I'll average it out to four. The pizza could definitely be someone's taste, it just isn't mine. The slices are very thin to the point of being too floppy/soggy, and the sauce is on the sweet side. I haven't tried any specialty pies. They also have a great drink selection inside. Not too many places you can get a vanilla coke in a bottle. read more

Grew up locally in SB station has the best Sicilian and buffalo chicken slices in the area, no question. Prices have always been fair, and the two owners are nice guys. If you're really hungry I'd recommend the buffalo chicken hero with blue cheese sauce, or their stuffed veggie or meat slices! I'd be here everyday if I were a student. read more

"Not great, but pretty good." Let's be honest. Station Pizza slices are mediocre, but they benefit from being in an area devoid of any "old-fashioned" pizzerias. I can't even claim to be exempt from such bias because I frequently pass over the Domino's 10 yards away and opt for Station Pizza because it seems more "authentic." It definitely is, but is it worthy of the praise it receives as a result? Probably not. I swear by sicilian slices. Unfortunately, Station's sicilian is pretty inconsistent. Sometimes it's great - the bread is nice and airy, the cheese just right, and the crust is perfectly crunchy without verging on burnt. But days like today the crust is uneven and the sauce is sparse. The REAL gem here, is the garlic knots. There's just a right way to do knots and Station Pizza delivers in terms of actual garlic flavor (surprisingly too many LI pizzerias don't properly season with garlic/herbs), and dough texture. Sometimes they overdo it with oil, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to take. That being said, garlic knots are rarely available. Out of the 7 or so times I've ordered from this location, at various times of the day, they usually don't have them. It's a sad sad affair coming back knots-less. All-in-all it's pizza. Not the best, but pretty darn good (depending on the day). It's also pretty cheap though, so you can't complain too much. read more

It aint fancy by any means...Heck, it's basic decor is pizza boxes and old newspapers, but, Hey you're not going for any of that ...You're going for simple, straightforward 'Za and Italian specialties and that they've got plenty of. Nice owner, the place's been around forever and after all these years hey still bring a terrific pie to the table. Recommendations? I called recently on a Friday night at 7, 4 hours before they close and wanted to get a few slices. They had claimed to be out of Sicilian and regular. They guy over the phone is was rude. And I had called another time before and the same thing happened and with the same guy. Like the pizza is really good but the employees just don't seem like they are fit to interact with customers each day. The other thing is that this has happened twice with the same employee which I don't know if it's coincidental but. When the employee said he was out of the slices I wanted, I said "I'll just go to via" the employee responded with "good idea". And for a place to be out of regular on a Friday night is ridiculous. So yeah if you are looking to eat at this place call first yo make sure they actually have any slices. read more

Garlic knots are delicious and have the perfect amount of garlic -- don't plan on kissing anyone unless they've been eating them, too. Generously filled heroes ensure you won't go hungry. There are certain weeknights when takeout pies are a few dollars off -- perfect for those busy nights. The pizzeria dining area is small and dated. This is your standard pizzeria. A bit on the low end to cater to the college crowd on very limited budgets. I have been eating here since at least 1980 when this place was half its current size. I normally do not leave reviews, however, station is deserving of a bad one. I wish my grandma was here to taste and write the review for me. The spaghetti and meatballs were a disgrace... Tart, acidic and lacking in what some people call, "flavor." The pasta was mushy and generic. The meatballs added to the pain, as they quite simply, sucked! The pizza was absolutely nothing special. Meh. Mediocre. I'm from Kansas City, and was expecting great pasta and pie in Long Island. Won't find it at station. Overpriced, overrated. Sorry station. This is a very underrated pizza place. I've been here a million times, usually for dinner. I order 4 knots and a slice and it costs me $3.50-5.50 depending on what type of pizza I get. It's always delicious and is also inexpensive. They don't leave it in the oven too long and burn the bottom like a lot of pizza places around here do. I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my food and the guys working there are sweet and always have a smile. How the Dominoes a few buildings down is still in business with this right here, I have no idea. The Stony Brook students must not know about it being fit for a student budget. They also have deals during the week for pies and offer delivery to all the people who have better things to do than go pick up their food. The best part about this place is their garlic knots. They are THE BEST. The best I have ever had. So soft and seasoned perfectly. Your breath will reek until you brush your teeth, and that's how it should be. YUM. read more

They are SUPER generous with the olives...if only I liked olives. SAD FACE. The garlic knots are the best garlic knots I've had in my life. So good that I would buy 10 dollars worth of garlic knots. I don't get a chance to go to Station Pizza too often, but when I do, it's great. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that they only care about the food. The dining area was probably built in the late 80s, and hasn't been remodeled since. However, that's what gives Station its personality. The pizza is very flavorful. It definitely has a unique taste to it compared to other Long Island pizza spots --and I mean that in a good way. Their garlic knots are to die for. They arguably have the best garlic knots on Long Island, at least in my opinion. The size of the knots are just right --not too big, not too small. The taste of the knots will blow you away. They have the perfect ratio of garlic, oil, parmesan, and parsley (my mouth just started watering while writing about it). Also, to compliment their superb garlic knots, they have some great red sauce for dipping. They deliver, too. read more
