I have been taking classes with Sean Rogers and he does a fantastic job of coaching, building confidence and providing a space that feels creative and safe. Vibe performing arts is such a friendly place for people of all ages. I've been going there since I was 8 and now I'm 14. All of the staff are so nice and kind. Vibe performing arts will really help you build confidence in whatever you're doing whether it's singing, piano, drums, hip hop etc. All teachers will help you improve and you'll make tons of friends here. I found Vibe one year ago when searching for piano lessons for my children (ages 7 and 9). We began private lessons Frank. My children absolutely adore him. They have learned so much and are playing beautifully. We are so thankful to have found this studio. The owner, Andrea, and the entire front staff are outstanding. You won't meet nicer humans ever. My 10-year-old took online drum lessons here with Matt and it was amazing! He loved it so much. His teacher did a great job helping him get the positioning and posture and set up with his drum pad just right, which I was worried about, since we were online. He clearly was experienced with teaching kids, and did a good keeping my son's attention, using metaphors that helped him remember things, and moving on as fast or slow as my son was capable of. This far the teachers have been very good and know how to work with children. I have signed up twice with their music class and their Saturday instructors were superb. I can't say enough about how much I have improved since starting lessons with Andrea last year. Aside from a few lessons as a child (also taken at Vibe of course!) I started lessons as an adult, and at first I was worried I started too late. But that could not be further from the truth. My voice has come so far in such a short amount of time because Andrea works absolute magic, and I can't wait to see how much better I'll be in another year. It doesn't stop at my voice though. As someone in the transitional period between college and adult life, I've had to do many things outside of my comfort zone in the past year. My lessons with Andrea have done so much for my confidence on top of developing my voice. I can say with absolute certainty that without her encouragement I would not have been nearly as successful in job interviews and would not have landed the amazing internship I have. In 1996, my daughter was 10 years old. I noticed years earlier that she had a vocal gift, she could really sing & perform. Vibe Vocal School was recommended to me, so I put her with Andrea for vocal lessons. The two years she was there, we found Andrea a great instructor and nice to work with. My girl is now an adult. What she learned in an entire, week to week, seasonal session at other places she has learned in one hour at Vibe. They don't mess around here. My oldest daughter recently had singing lessons at Vibe Performing studios with Ed Granadosin. Ed is part of a local band called Back on Track. (check out their myspace site.) Ed has a powerful voice and had a tremendous positive influence on my daughter. After a series of lessons the "singers" perform a class recital to share what they have learned. Our daughter's voice continues to improve. Ed ended the recital with a Josh Groban song which literally brought the audience to tears. (Tears of joy). Save your money, and go somewhere else! The teacher can't handle more than 5 kids. She will skip the rest. They will only practice their song every other class!! (but you still pay the full price....) Your kid will come out of the class confused and loosing their confidence asking: Why didn't I sing today? Even when they do, the teacher will spend 15 minutes on one and 3 minutes on another! read more

Vibe Performing Arts Studios has been extremely helpful in developing my son's musical creativity. Their recognition of his talent was such an encouragement to him. I especially appreciate their generosity in awarding him a free recording session as a prize for their song-writing contest. This was a huge deal to him and really gave him confidence. I have been involved with this place for years as my children were in Charter School and the school had a contract with them. I have never felt that they cared for the young people who come to them. It is all about making a buck. It is typical of them to have a child learn only one performance piece and then they charge their family to see this performance. But your child only learned that one piece and that is no way to learn anything. Dismal. And a rip off. The owner also "trash talks" and that is very off-putting when you want to discuss an issue. You must watch the billing as well. I have caught them billing for months I did not use and charging more than promised. Not a nice place. You can find better teachers than they offer. read more

Our children were in the Preschool Singing and Acting class. The instructor was good with the 4 and 5 year olds but had no idea how to teach the 3-5 age group together. The class had a chaotic quality and was geared towards the older children while the younger ones were bored. Our three year-old children were put in 'time out' for the majority of the class after they ran on the stage and were not allowed to sing. Guidelines for time out are one minute per year of age. When I brought my concerns to the director, I was not offered another instructor, as requested nor a partial refund. I could keep my children in the same class where the instructor would try and improve or drop out without any refund. As a psychologist and a mother, I chose the latter. Losing a little bit of money on a partial refund or another instructor could have been a short term loss for a long term gain. If we had been taken seriously, we may have taken classes with other instructors for years to come. When I signed them up for the class, I assumed the instructor was already competent with this age group. I will also add that the acting portion of the class consisted of pretending to be animals (for five weeks straight.) There was no other acting component to the class. At this age, children are capable of more advanced role-playing and imaginative play. If you have a 5 year-old who wants to sing, this may work well for you, but if your kids are 3 or want to develop acting skills, I would advise finding another class. read more

This is review on Vibe customer service and not about the quality of their classes. My daughter and I went to vibe this morning to get information about the classes. As soon as I opened the door the receptionist looked at me like I was interrupting her work. The place was totally empty, it looks to me that she was alone at that time, she wasn't talking by phone and nobody was waiting, so definitely she wasn't in distress. I told her that I was interested in get more information about classes for my 2 years old daughter. She gave me a brochure and highlight the class. She turned to the other side, that's it. She even said hello to my daughter which was waiting next to me and was excited about the place. I felt disappointed but I looked my daughter smile and excitement so I decided to ask another question to see I can get a better impression of the place and give the receptionist another opportunity to provide good service. She showed us the classroom and provide a little more information as she was wasting her time. I told her that I was looking a class that my daughter will enjoy and suddenly she walked out to the classroom door rushing us to leave. I told my daughter, which was next to me, that it was time to go. While we were waking toward the main door my daughter wave bye-bye to the receptionist and didn't get any answer back. The receptionist might not noted it but my point is she wasn't interested in provide us the basic service at all. Shame on her! I hope the manager/owner of this place take actions to correct the receptionist in benefit of provide excellent service to SC kids and the profitability of the business itself. Any kid deserve get acknowledge of their presence and receive good service even if they don't enroll in their service. Miriam read more

I've used Vibe several times for piano, singing and other classes and I have yet to be impressed. They are for beginners thinking about starting music lessons, at best. The group classes are kind of a joke. And their front desk girl really should learn some customer service skills. After this last round with them, I am completely done! I will go somewhere that has better service and doesn't just crank out lessons for money. read more

As an educator I see the value first hand that Vibe offers their students.
