What a gem! We just looked for food in the area and came upon this place. It's right by the Smith Center and the Discovery Children's Museum. The ambience is great, there was a high school jazz trio playing who were quite good. We had two appetizers and drinks, plus the sea bass (fish of the day), clams and the bread pudding for desert was also tasty. Service was as you'd expect at this price point. They know when to come and when to leave you to enjoy the experience. We will definitely add this to our date night rotation. read more

Dates of visit: May 26, 2026 + June 4, 2026 This was a tougher review for me, REALLY wish there was a half-star that I could implement here as three seems too low and four seems too high. Both experiences were very similar: Great food and just so-so service. First up, the May visit: I made a reservation because OpenTable, but there was really no need--there were only two other tables in the joint. Despite how quiet it was, there was a young lady from the music conservatory playing piano and while classical isn't really my thing, it was very nice and didn't drown out our conversation. Christopher seated us and took our order and he started out great but ran out of steam pretty much after we ordered. I suspect that because it was so quiet, he wasn't going to be making much and kind of gave up. Which is too bad because my carbonara was delicious! Normally that would be it for me; I'm a one and done with most dining experiences, especially when there are so many places to try in a city like Las Vegas. However, I was bringing my mom back to the area to see a show at The Smith Center and there's really no better place to dine before a show than Vic's, given its proximity to the theatre and the great parking rate. Fast forward to the June visit: The place couldn't have been more packed with people, and it was clear they were all going to the same place after. Despite that, the food was excellent again! This time I went with the spaghetti and meatballs and the high-quality pasta could really be observed in the dish. But again service was a bit middling, with our server slow to greet us and didn't check on us during the meal, we were all done by the time she came to inquire about us. I know this place could have service to match its food and hope to give it another try sometime. read more

In looking for a restaurant with live jazz, I found this had great reviews-and we were not disappointed :). We went on a weeknight and we told The jazz ensemble happens on Friday and Saturdays, but we were pleasantly surprised with a wonderful young pianist from a local school who played so beautifully. We thought it was a recording. The restaurant has three options, one a sports lounge to a bar and then the restaurant I find this awesome because you can choose your thing you depending on the vibe you are looking for and it is all in one place. Also, we were happy to come during the week day because on the weekend they only have a small bites menu which for my preference wasn't very appealing, but the full menu that we had, especially those lobster bites - I would definitely go back to the bar just to get those - absolutely delicious!! The only drawback which if you read them any of my reviews, you know I hate paying for parking. It wasn't very expensive only six dollars but still I hate paying for parking and paying for whatever meal event I'm going to spend money twice other than that the location is wonderful ambience is great. Going to a show at the Smith Center and wanted to grab dinner before the show. What could be more convenient than Vic's, right across the street and not having to move the car? Hidden tip - If you will be in the garage for less than 4 hours, Vic's will comp half the parking fee. Just don't prepay the parking. Vic's honors reservations( which is a good idea when eating before a show - lots of people have the same idea and it could get crowded). The restaurant is surprisingly pretty inside, separate from the bar area. There was a piano player - nice background music while dining. I went with the sausage and peppers pizza ($23). My wife got the antipasto salad ($22). The pizza was OK. The salad was excellent! Lovely ambiance, delightful piano background, excellent service, and good food at a fair price with a great location for a show. We will be back. read more

Decades ago, we used to go to all the great jazz/supper clubs in New York. They are all gone now. So, I was delighted when I saw the listing for Vic's. Open for three years now, its owners tried to recreate the feel of the "old Vegas" lounges. They succeeded in spades. The service, from start to finish was great. Friendly and attentive. Our server, Amy, made some great suggestions. The minestrone was rich and flavorful, loaded with veggies and ditalini. The nicely dressed Caesar salad was big enough to share. The Chicken Parmesan. Had a deep, rich sauce and was accompanied by rigatoni. The Hanger Steak special was really good - perfectly cooked. Finally, the Shrimp Fra Diavolo was nice, although the accompanying pasta was a bit gummy. We shared some nice deserts - - and the cocktails were perfectly crafted. The highlight of our evening was the five piece jazz ensemble led by Jalen Baker and Jason Hainsworth. They played a great set of traditional jazz and we really enjoyed their performance. I'm always happy to update a review and be able to report that a business improved, and this is the case with Vic's! We decided to give Vic's another try before a Saturday night Smith Center performance. Reservations are easy to make online and are highly recommended! We were seated right away in a comfortable booth as soon as we arrived. We had a good view of the stage and the live jazz music performance. Our server was quite friendly and attentive, although we did have to track her down at the end of the meal to get the check and pay so we would not be late for our performance. Since this is probably a popular spot for pre-show dining, it might be good to train servers to inquire with guests when they arrive if they are attending a show that night. They must have a good mixologists, because all the cocktails were great! I absolutely loved the peanut butter sour - one of the best cocktails I have ever had! Ice cold and perfectly balanced without overwhelming peanut butter flavor. I had a brandy alexander with dessert which was similarly delicious. I also enjoyed some prosecco with my entree which was was served in a small bottle which meant it still had all its carbonation! To start we had the shrimp cocktail and a minestrone soup. The shrimp tasted delicious and fresh. The soup was tasty and featured a hearty mix of vegetables but was a little light on the pasta. I had the braised pork entree. It was extremely tasty and very tender with a lovely sauce and perfectly cooked tagliatelle pasta. We also tried the roasted red potato side dish. These were all perfectly cooked with crispy exteriors and fluffy interiors. A bit more flavor would have been welcomed with the potatoes, however, such as perhaps some rosemary. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse cake. It was generously sized and plenty for two to share. The cake was exceptionally tender with a rich chocolate flavor. Overall, this was a much better experience at Vic's than our first visit! This may become our new pre-show dining spot for the Smith Center! read more

Vic's did not disappoint. From the minute you walk in you can feel the relaxing vibes and smell the amazing food. The dim lighting and the decor is spot on and reminds me of old Vegas . Our waiter was so attentive and ensured if we had any questions about the menu he could answer them. Live band playing as well and they were superb. Our food was superb. Came in on a holiday with friend for lunch. There was no one here except us. 2pm on a Monday. You do either have to pay for parking, or get it validated in the restaurant. This place has a very warm atmosphere. The lunch special had plenty to offer and not too pricey. We ordered the half sandwich. Which comes with fries, soup or salad. $15 I mean hey that's not too bad. The food was on point. Hannah was our server, she was very sweet and patient. After years of visiting The Smith Center and always saying "next time," We finally dined at Vic's before The Nutcracker on Dec 23, 2025 and it did not disappoint. Perfect pre-show dining with a cool, classic vibe and live piano music. A short and easy walk to The Smith Center, I chose to valet (my normal routine). Although, there's a parking garage just steps away from Vic's who happily validates. We kicked things off with shrimp cocktails, an espresso martini or two and the festive holiday cocktail Elsa so delicious and fun. I ordered the Atlantic salmon, prepared gluten and dairy free. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. My daughter loved her Rotini Pasta Primavera, perfectly sized and topped with fresh parmesan. Next time you're in Las Vegas venture off the strip and head downtown to Vic's. It opened three years ago but feels like a real back in the day Jazz/Supper Club. The food, drinks, and service are worth the visit. The minestrone soup is rich and filled with all the good stuff not a thin broth with some vegetables. The generous portion of chicken Parmesan and pasta are served with a rich and flavorful sauce. The shrimp diavlo was not too spicy and the hangar steak was perfectly cooked. The cheesecake had a serious New York vibe and the apple bread pudding was shareable. The highlight of the evening was the music. A great jazz quintet was enjoyed by all. Just mehhh, this is the third time dining here every single time I've been here I've had a reservation and the front desk person always acts like I don't have one. I give them my name, last name, phone number, they stare right at me then their screen, yet looking at me like I don't belong there. I'm not quite sure what the demographic is to dine at Vic's, but the food kind of tells it all. Mediocre steaks, definitely overpriced for the quality you're getting. The menu is just so 1972. There's a steak, there's a pasta, there's a chicken dish, a basic salad, a basic burger, a basic pizza nothing ever stands out. It's just mediocre. It's nostalgic Las Vegas circa 1970 something. There is even a classic shrimp cocktail, bland, iced and kind of sad. I've come here because of the convenience, before I walk over to the Smith Center for a show, but the food just sucks. There is live music usually young students will play the piano or some sort of jazz. I appreciate it. It's lovely but the food and the front desk people are a turn off. Vic's is a must for all locals to visit. This Itailian place has old school vibes with an excellent menu and also between 2 and 5 there is a happy hour menu. The wine list is extensive and there are great selections of fine licquor. Staff is totally accomodating and very professional (Including friendly) they make you feel like an old friend and are happy to assist you in making your meal choice. One great plus is that on Friday and Saturday Nights, there is live music and the place those have a vibe. We are now regulars. read more

The ambiance was really nice! I didn't know what to expect because the reviews on here said 3.5 stars. I like that they had a dining section, the bar area and a seating area. It gives different options on where to sit. We were seated and promptly waited on. The waitress was amazingly nice. She took our order right away and also gave us the time we needed. Our appetizers were the nibblers (so freaking good!!!!) and a Caesar salad. Both were delicious!!! I love how they spaced out our main entree and didn't bring it out right away. They let us finish our apps. Then we had like 10 mins in between for our main meal. The main meal I chose was the shrimp diavolo, mild spice (I don't really do spicy) and that was perfect!!!! It was full of flavor and delicious. My partner got the bolognese dish. Pasta. That too was delicious!! Perfectly cooked pasta and flavorful bolognese. There was a student from LVA playing the piano. For four years, we've been coming here for dinner before shows at the Smith Center. We always try to get a reservation, but when we can't, we sit in the bar or the lounge. We took a booth in the lounge, and the waitress told us they were serving a limited food menu in the lounge. That was a first, and highly disappointing. We reluctantly ordered a poke bowl and a chicken Caesar salad. We waited an hour after ordering, and the food never came. The waitress came by three times to ask if we wanted anything besides our dinner, and apologized, but never really did anything about it. Eventually we left without eating to make curtain on time. The food is pretty good, but the service is erratic and disorganized. It's the only restaurant within walking distance of the Smith Center so they have an advantage on event nights. We've had good nights and bad nights at Vic's, but last night was the worst ever, and we won't be back. read more

Since we took a break from social media for Lent, here's a montage of our last three visits. Let's talk about it... Old Fashioned is always great. Their house pour is Four Roses bourbon, and they nail it every time. Smooth, balanced, dangerously easy to sip. Apps don't miss... Lobster bites, crab cakes, Italian sausage, chowders... All hitters, no skips. That beet salad though... Fresh. Flavor-packed. Different textures hitting all at once. Sweet + savory done RIGHT. Low-key one of my favorite dishes in Vegas. Entree lineup stays strong... Spam & mushroom risotto, a WTH this won't work but it did (shoutout Spamalot), perfectly cooked swordfish, pastas always delivering, and those lamb chops last night... Crispy outside, melt-in-your-mouth inside. Always tasty! Dessert = automatic chocolate mousse cake. Every. Single. Time. Service is always spot on. We have never had a bad experience. After an event, two friends and I checked out Vic's. I'm sad I had not been here before. Each new dish that came out was tastier than the last. When we first arrived a UNLV music student was playing the piano live. She played about 10 minutes and then her set was over and they switched to the speaker system. The restaurant was not super busy. The staff were very attentive and offered suggestions on items when asked. The portion of chicken Parm was large and the meatballs were a personal favorite. Just before watchng a show at Smith Center, our group of six decided to have an early dinner at Vic's which is literally next door to where we parked, and directly across Discovery Children's Museum and Smith Center. How much more convenient can it We were struck by how sophisticated this venue is --- all black walls and ceilings give that ultra-cozy and intimate ambiance. There was a group who performed what they called "sound check" and if they're any indication of what the main event would be like, I'd say the show must be a good one. Our group had different orders, but to a person, each one enjoyed our meals which consisted of: *Nippers - Fried bread dumplings with creamy garlic butter, Pomodoro sauce * Squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta - special of the day * Branzino with pasta - another special of the day (3 of us chose this) * Rotisserie chicken * Spaghetti with meatballs * Shrimp Fra Diavolo * Bread Pudding * Lemon and whipped cream ricotta All in all, the food was fabulous. Some friends and I were coming to see a show at Myrons and decided to stop in here for dinner. Reservations had been made which you can do easily online. We were here during the holidays so the place was all decked out in lively, holiday decor. We were seated in a comfortable booth and had a great view of the stage. The ambiance is delightful. Shortly after we were seated a young musician approached the stage and began to play beautiful piano. She was so talented. Apparently when you are a young musician, they offer you an opportunity to play for a live audience. Different musicians all the time. I think this is such a great idea. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes from Italian to American classics. Perusing the menu, my friend and I decided to share dinner. We started with Vic's House Salad and then shared a featured special of the evening. It was a tasty chicken and mash potatoes. It was just enough food for both of us and of course we had to have a little dessert to top off our meal. Our server was efficient and fast. Vic's has a large dining room, a robust bar area complete with poker machines to play, and an expansive lounge where you can immerse yourself in all kinds of games and sports on the big screen TV's. I like that the place is dark and cool inside. I could see myself hanging out here randomly when in the area. The vibe here is jazz club and who doesn't enjoy live music?? Many artists featured here are local and even some national musicians as well. Parking can be found in one of the garages nearby at $6 per vehicle. I look forward to dining here again. read more

That's what we need more of in this town more nice supper clubs. Nice piano music playing through the night added nice ambiance through the meal. Our waiter was a young kid that had issues keeping us hydrated with mixed drinks. Other than that the atmosphere was nice and the food was great. First...shout out to Solana for taking great care of me :D I saw many reviews about their dinner experience. I came in here for lunch before heading to the Expo Center on a weekday. Turned out this is a perfect spot for lunch too! I had the chicken parmesan served with pomodoro rigatoni. This item is just added to their lunch service, so it's not on their lunch menu yet. I highly recommend this. The chicken parm was crispy and juicy and cheesy. The pomodoro rigatoni was perfect. I loved their pomodoro sauce very much - it has this deep rich flavor to it. Portion wise, it's not a tiny one that leave you hungry but not an enormous one that send you into a food coma before you leave the restaurant. My appetite is on the larger size (esp. for Asian female - I basically eat double) and I finish this alongside with an additional side of salad and have no room for dessert. It's a fulfilling portion but it's just right. So for those who think they have a big appetite, I think you will find this portion just right and still give you room for a salad and/or dessert :) I was seated in the lounge area. We didn't get much of the jazz music but definitely lots of screens on one side of the wall. The booth was super cozy... and honestly I felt comfortable for sitting in a booth even though I was dining solo. The restrooms were nearby tucked away. Special shout out to their restroom - I love seeing the framed old jazz/concert posters as decoration. A very nice and cute touch! I noticed the Children Discovery Museum is across the street. Wow, this is a really elegant, nice and romantic restaurant with live music and of course great food and drinks. We had reservations and got seated immediately. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and the menu selection is great. We tried the fish of the day which was sword fish, and Tagliolini with Clams which both were delicious along with the carrot cake and coffee. Overall, we had one of the better dining experiences that we have had in Las Vegas. We definately will return again. read more

What went amazingly well? Well what didn't go wrong. I can not think of one issue that went wrong. We attended Dave Koz and Big Horns last night. A friend made our reservation for a table after the concert. My husband and I sat down as we arrived early. Sat down, had a booth. Some of the best jazz was playing locally enjoyed that briefly and our waiter came by to ask what we wanted to drink. I ordered a cucumber jalapeño margarita. Which by the way was absolutely fabulous. I could actually taste the cucumber with a finished taste of some spice. Michael was our waiter. The service was perfect, the courtesy, the kindness, the Smile on the menu what we were asking for what he liked what he wasn't particularly thrilled about, which was nothing (as he said he has tried everything and he enjoyed everything). Michael left us alone to ponder our choices. My husband by the way ordered a whiskey. He says it was very, very good. We ordered appetizers because it was late as we already ate earlier in the day. We ordered meatballs, arugula beet salad and eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant came with a little side of an Italian sauce that I've never tasted before. It was not very tomato tasting, but had a hint of tomato. I could put it on my eggplant Parmesan as I ate each bite. It was lightly crisp all had arugula scattered, specially around my eggplant. The eggplant was perfectly cooked as you to sometimes you get eggplant that is overcooked. My husband ordered meatballs, they were large and perfectly seasoned with the hint of Italian seasoning and warm as well. Then there was the beet salad. It had a lemon vinegaret dressing with two different types of beats lightly sprinkled with arugula as well and feta. I believe the salad came with cashews. That was about the best salad that either one I ever tasted. It was per our waiter Michael. We loved Vic's, the service, the food the cocktails were perfect. There was no live music at that moment but the bartender explained to us how it worked for us to catch a live performance and where to find out who was playing. I really wanted to give this place a better review, but the service was so poor that I can't overlook it. I've eaten here twice before attending shows at the Smith Center. The first time, the service wasn't great, but the food was good, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, this visit was the final straw. We had 5:30pm reservations and were seated promptly. We immediately let our server know we were heading to a show at 7:30pm. While she was taking our drink order, we told her we were also ready to place our food order. I ordered a salad as an appetizer, and our friend ordered soup and salad as her entrée. Forty minutes later, my salad finally arrived--at the same time as my friend's entrée--and it was the wrong salad. The server never checked back with us; we had to flag her down. We continued waiting for our meals, and after more back-and-forth with the server and speaking to the assistant manager (the main manager was "too busy" to come over), our food finally arrived an hour and ten minutes after we ordered. We were told the ticket had been misplaced. To their credit, the Pappardelle Bolognese was very good, and the rest of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service was so disorganized and inattentive that it overshadowed the entire experience. Too bad--the kitchen deserves better. I hope the owner reads this review. This restaurant needs new management. Ultimately, the responsibility falls on the manager. read more

A outstanding hidden gem!! Vic's restaurant is located in Symphony Park right across the street from the Children's Discovery Museum. When you walk in the restaurant, it gives you a speakeasy vibe. The restaurant is dark inside. The napkins are white. Even the menus have a vintage look to it, taking you back to the 1920s. We were there on a Saturday and they did have live jazz music. The service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. When there is a Broadway show playing at the Smith Center, the cocktail menu is themed after that show. My family and I were going to see Hamilton after dinner so the cocktail menu had themed drinks to Hamilton. Of course you do not need to have Broadway tickets to eat at Vic's. I absolutely will be back, and this is someplace that I definitely will take friends and family to dinner. read more

This place was perfect as it was across the street from the ballet we were attending at the Smith center. This place is bigger than what I thought with a lounge on the right bar in the center and the restaurant on the far left side. We were seated in the restaurant portion. We ordered cocktails, which took almost 20 minutes to get to our table. I don't know if there was a back up at the bar. It wasn't super busy unlike the end of our dinner service when it became packed. That would be my negative to say about this place. They had a kids cheese pizza, which was perfect for our four-year-old . We had several different appetizers. I recommend the nippers , and the anti-pesto salad. I had the chicken Parm and my husband had the Bolognese. There was several daily specials, one of which blackened halibut which tasted amazing. Really wanted some live music and Italian food... This place showed up. Very happy we gave it a spin. The restaurant located inside a parking complex. We parked and walked about 20 feet to the front door. as can be seen from the pictures, this place is quite elegant and beautiful. The booth faced the stage, and there was a person playing the piano. My son informed me that on Off nights, they contract with the local high schools too give the kids a chance to showcase their talent. This young man was a great piano player. We enjoyed listening to him play through the evening. We started with cocktails, and the waiter was full of energy and Ness that I like to see a in a restaurant. The address arrived fairly quickly. What we ordered: Long Island iced tea Vodka, fruit punch Meatball appetizer Butternut squash soup Veal piccata Flank, steak, medium rare Special of the day, blackened swordfish Braised pork Bread pudding Everything was just perfect. The dishes were top-notch, my wife really enjoyed her drink. my island was a little sour, because they use fresh squeezed lemon/lime. It was an easy fix. Meatballs with their little crispy bread and the butternut soup were perfect. The Veal was tender and the piccata sauce was creamy savory and just the right lemony Flavor. Ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare. Black and swordfish was not overly seasoned. There was nothing I would change about any of the evening. If you have not tried Vic's, please try it. Great place, live piano music, played by a young musician from one of the schools in Las Vegas. Nice place for a Sunday evening meal. Has a nice lounge and bar area separate from the dining area. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. This restaurant is across the street from The Smith Theater. We ordered the meatball appetizer,butternut squash soup,Braised Pork,USDA prime skirt steak,Veal piccata, and fish of the day which was blackened swordfish. Everything was great! The music was incredible! We walked in on a Friday night around 8pm and we were seated with no reservation. The trio was composed of base, piano and drums; what a great team, incredible sounds. Service on the other hand was quite slow and lacked personality. Our server whose name we do not know, seemed to be Caucasian with glasses, was not the best server. A recommendation or two might have been nice seeing it was our first time here. the music was ending soon so we decided to order two of their seasonal cocktails, the margarita and the pumpkin pie martini. Way to go mixology team, these were tremendous! Well balanced cocktails with enhancing rims and velvety texture. I could drink 10 of each and be in danger since they're so smooth. The biggest disappointment was the dessert, they are definitely bought in but are not of good quality. The cheesecake was so bad we returned it. The chocolate mousse cake was stiff and overly sweet. I do not recommend these. The whipped cream was from a dispenser, with that remarkable plastic taste and sugar that coats your mouth, not good. Finally stopped in here before a show! I opted for some comfort food in the form of crab cakes and mac and cheese! The servers all agreed it was a great comfort food choice! It really was! I loved the staff, ambience, and definitely the food! read more

Vibes: 10/10 Service: 7/10 Food Quality: 9/10 Portion Size: 4/10 Vic's was a great place to eat before our show at The Smith Center. Just wanted to write a quick review because this place is still on the newer side. The vibes and aesthetic of this place is really where it shines. Live jazz music made the ambiance incredible. Food was really good here but big complaint on the sizes here. I usually get to eat half of my wife's food but there was no carbonara left for me. Luckily I got the chicken parm which was decent size. My grandma got a burger which looked like a happy meal. The bread pudding I will say was amazing and definitely worth it. Overall I'm a big eater so maybe this will be just enough for most people. The quality definitely was there though and aside from that we had a great night. Service was just average but I know how the game is. Give it a try and let me know what you think. read more
