I honestly loved that they had this section because it felt intimate and it was quiet. My friend and I ordered slushie cocktails that were $12. It was great and exactly what we needed at the end of the night. You have to ask your bartender what the slushie cocktails of the day were and we just ordered one of each for the 2 he mentioned. They have a bunch of other cocktails as well. I felt like this is a hidden gem. Seems like they have a restaurant that opens up earlier in the day/evening and their bar in the back remains open. First of all, I'm obsessed. Literally the coolest vibe the best service and James Trees cocktails / bar snacks, you can't beat it. 10/10 no notes on the bar alone. Want a hot tip?!? On Mondays and Tuesdays the kitchen at the adjoining Bar Boheme is closed, so Chef Steve Lee does a pop up burger collab with Petit Boheme. Only on these two nights from 6-11. When I say that this was one of the BEST burgers I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. I went with a group of real foodies and we all agreed and can't stop talking about these burgers. Oh Petite Boheme how much of a little hidden gem are you!! this was definitely my favorite spot out of my bar hoping night, they are open until 2AM when most other bars in the area are only open until 12 which was such a lovely way to end my night. I have to say the Visions of Guadaloupe holds a special place for me, it was simply perfect and for it being only $12? Ugh!! What really topped it off for me on the uniqueness and attention to detail this place has- is that our drinks were paired with these delicious baked in house crackers! the perfect little snack to pair drinks with. I also have to say, their Mezcal is surprisingly superb, the perfect amount of burnt spicy aroma it carries just left me speechless including my drink. My kind of bar! A bit hidden, so you have to seek it out. Cool music, full of natural light, Basquiat-Paris vibe all the way and a well made Negroni. Mic drop.....I love this place. Rocco was our bartender on our early night bar crawl when my girlfriend and I visited for the first time. He was nice and friendly, but not too friendly and left us to chat although he was clearly keeping himself busy waiting for more patrons as we were there very early evening. I love being able to really soak up the ambiance of a bar prior to humans invading the space....it is almost meditative to me in a way, especially with a generally lovely interior like Petite Boheme has. I find Petite Boheme simply a great bar. Upscale, but local. Fancy, but approachable and welcoming. Cozy with various seating options....romantic on the couch or standing at the bar. And a clean bathroom....that matters. A perfect mix of modern and vintage, but not trying too hard to be either. Maybe I love this ambiance because my own living room has this vibe. LOL! I found out about this place sometime last year from my bartender at Esther's & I had been dying to check it out since I absolutely love Esther's! We sat at the bar and I was asked what I liked and I said I prefer tequila or gin, refreshing, citrusy sweet. She made me a mango tequila spicy drink. So I don't have anything about to say about the spot. It is a little hidden and it's a little bit of a duck off, because you can't see it out right, but that's my type of spot. You have to walk through a little alleyway to get to it, but when you get there it's cool because they have a little small courtyard there and there's some seats inside and outside, it's really a vibe. Got to the bar and the bartender was solid. I wish I had gotten his name but either way, the service here was really good. They walked us through the menu, gave some prescriptions and they let us taste a little bit. This is a newer place in the arts district and I was super excited to try it. It's a beautiful space and was very beautifully decorated and set up with comfy chairs and great accomodations for the 7 women I was with. My drink was good, but a lot of the options had some form of anise, which I'm not a fan of personally. I also asked the waitress for a recommendation and told her I prefer gin, and she recommended a negroni, which felt like an odd choice for a craft cocktail bar with a full menu of house drinks. I then asked her opinion on some of the menu items to which she responded she hadn't tried any yet. To find the entrance there is a small and well decorated "alley way" to walk through. The bar is very well decorated and there is lots of inside and outside seating. We were attended to very quickly and we had great interactions with the staff! Our first server gave us great recommendations by asking what we usually order and finding equivalents on their menu. Our favorite was the Amaretto Sour!! Unfortunately one drink was not to our liking and although we got it remade it still wasn't something we could finish and our waiter kindly took it off of our receipt. Almost walked past the entrance; was heading south so fortuitously spotted the logo'd pink paint splat on the brick wall in time. No reservations place, so lounged up to the bar, got water, menu, and notification of happy hour specials from Karla. (Build-Your-Own) Martini ($26): Plenty of options. Karla basically held my hand to make the best choice suited to my tastes. Got the Highground vodka, dirty, with blue cheese olives as garnish. Served ice-cold and tasted delicious. As the menu noted, the on-the-surface hefty price included a sidecar; I estimate the total volume could have been around two-and-a-half cocktails. Bergamots dans le Pre ($16): Very lightly fruit sweet, herbaceous on the nose. Le Big Mac ($16): A drink that DID go into a Burger King; this is a Whopper (the candy though, not the beef sandwich) in liquid form. I love evocative drinks. Just the right amount of sweetness, heavenly scent, with Guittard chocolate generously coating the top. Complimentary(!) snacks included crunchy spiced almonds and possibly the best chicharrónes I've had. Value: Undeniable Service: Extremely pleasant, chatty, and helpful from Karla, Katheryn, and the third young woman at the bar. Atmosphere: Cozy and super casual as befits its name. Jumble furniture on the main floor, walls graffitti'd, restrooms surrounded by be-locked chain link fencing; the inside was spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean though. Place had an outdoor patio seating decked out with potted plants and even more graffiti.
