I'm an avid coffee drinker and swear by panther coffee (yet don't drink it often because it can be pricey) but this coffee I can say is on the same playing field, or even a little better, than Panther! They're located in the Wynwood area, right under an apartment building but you can also find them serving their coffee from a cart at the Miami Flea! My boyfriend is obsessed with their cold brew (he has it black, a little too gross for me) and says their cold brew is the most incredible thing he's ever had (he might also be a little dramatic)! If you wanna expand your coffee horizons away from the typical Starbucks coffee, I definitely would say try this place out! read more

Strong contender on my list of best coffee in miami. Up there w/ Panther. Unlike Panther, however, this place has a more varied menu including one secret menu item that I keep coming back for... the coffee milkshake. Y'all, it is made of super quality vanilla icecream with 4 shots of delish espresso and it will blow ur mind! Its also worth noting you can sit inside and work more comfortably here than you can at Panther. Its more conducive to focus for sure imo. read more

A hidden gem!!! By far one of my favorite coffee houses in miami. Super friendly staff, modern setting, delicious coffee, and they have oat milk which is under rated and amazing. Amazing little place. Very cool decor and delicious coffee, matcha latte and chai latte combinations. We also tried their coconut cookie. A bit too sweet but very good. I would have liked to be asked what kind of milk before they chose soy milk. I later saw that they have homemade almond milk. Will return soon. read more

I'm not from Miami so I searched up the top coffee places in the area and this popped up. They serve Madcap which is the number one reason I went there. The spot is great and in the really cool area of wynwood. Always seems to be a good amount of people in and out. Little sitting area outside. Great people and great coffee. Great pastries too. LOVE this place! Location is kept very clean and organized. Plenty of street parking. The staff is extremely friendly and they make recommendations/suggestions which is a plus for me. My favorite drink is the iced matcha latte with almond milk (which is House-made here and tastes VERY good) and I add lavender. I've also had the nitro cold brew and it's also pretty good. My absolute favorite food item has to be the avocado toast. This has to be my top avocado toast I've ever had-- it's amazing! Favorite empanada is beef. Matcha and chocolate donut were pretty good too. You can taste that all food items are baked fresh. Not giving a full 5 star because the prices are a little expensive. I'm all for businesses having all Natural, fresh, organic ingredients but some of the prices could be tweaked. I can't make this place an everyday morning routine. read more

This was a really calm and cool place to set up shop for a day. I ordered an iced matcha latte, cortado and beef empanada. All were delicious. The WiFi was strong and steady. The environment was calm and the employees visibly all got along very well. The music was a steady stream of throw back latin jams that just made my heart happy. The floor to ceiling windows also let in a lot of light and helped me focus. Overall, it was a solid environment for remote work. While I can't say I moved to the A&E district solely for Vice City Bean's coffee, I have to admit its a great amenity to our up-and-coming hood and my favorite coffee shop in the City. All the typical coffee drinks are here, including amazing Cold Brew, as well as some specialties as well. Baked goods here are amazing too...highly recommend the cookies and breakfast egg pastries. An alternative from a Starbucks experience, Vice City is a proud supporter of locals. Their baked goods are from local bakeries and they display a "support local" sticker in the front door. I found patrons casually reading a book (a real paper bound one ) and the ambience friendly,chill and sleek. The customer service was on point as I was guided though the process of selecting my pour over coffee. The result? A gorgeous earthy blend of excellent coffee . This place personifies the stereotypical overpriced, pretentious hipster coffee shop. Everything is of course organic, vegan, non-gmo, locally sourced etc etc so they can overcharge you for everything. The empandas are incredibly tiny and they charge 3$ for them. I occasionally go simply due to convenience being across from a gym, but good lord do yourself a favor and skip this one. Hip and cool inside but while it gives off the vibe of a coffee shop with good beans it failed me on preparing good drinks. My first encounter was in a rush and I ordered a nitro and it seems off from the nitro and it seemed off a bit. Came back another time for an Ethiopian pour over and it tasted rather watered down. I am not sure if they did not weigh the beans correct or what, but I did not finish my coffee and since I was in a rush to begin with it let me down. The next week was on a day with much more time and I came in and asked about the cold brew and what beans they used. The barista told me the roaster and not the bean and it became a difficult process to know where it came from and they hand me a bag from Mad Cap that does not say the regions or flavor notes but just uses very general terms to try and make it sound like it's a good roaster and not telling you about the bean. Now it's very odd to me when I have seen a bag that did not identify the region. I thought I was just missing it and my partner and I flipped it every way to find out but nothing.. They gave me a sample and it tasted like a muddy blend or sorts and I don't wanna discriminate as it might just be a bad batch. Went with the pour over which they also could not find the bag for, but knew it was from Columbia from the roaster "Sweet Bloom" and it was good but was unusually hotter than I am used to for a pour over, but unlike the last pour over it did not taste watered down so that's a plus. Overall not the next experiences but 1 out of three gives me hope to maybe give it a third try. read more

A minimalist and modern cafe in a quieter part of downtown. The staff I met were very friendly. Matcha latte was $5 for 12 oz and tasty. I even saw the barista whisk the matcha powder in a little ceramic bowl before pouring it into the latte, similar to the traditional preparation. The empanada I purchased was tasty but small for the price. Most people were peacefully getting work done (like me). It's open until 6pm, and this fact alone makes it superior to other cafes in the area. I'll definitely be back! read more

Was looking for a cute, quiet, well-lit area to study today. This was the perfect study spot. Low chill music, nice open windows, plenty of street parking. Really friendly staff! I may be one of the only Miamians that HATES the taste of Panther Coffee, so the mere sight of anything other than Panther makes me happy. Vice City Bean is an awesome location--Close enough to Wynwood to attract a ~cool~ crowd, yet far enough away from Wynwood to avoid the crazy crowds. Their pastry case was the first thing that drew me in. There were empanadas, HUGE Cindy Lou cookies and HOMEMADE pop tarts. Need I say more? Actually, yes. not a fan...... i went here today cuz it had pretty great reviews. wasn't bad to find parking. bit of a wait to order, but it went pretty quick. i got up to the front, told the guy what i wanted & he didn't look at me the entire time. it was so weird. when i would ask a question (it being my first time here) he answered in a condescending tone like i should've known. me: "are your egg sandwiches made here?" him, not looking at me: long pause............."yeah........ *long pause still not looking* but it's going to take a while" why is it going to take a while? because they have ONE lady in the back making everything. by herself. while it's slammed and there's 5 people up front making coffee. like really? idk. didn't like the vibes. i love going out and getting an iced latte, but this place isn't really worth the trip. it's a wanna be coffee house like all day that isn't quite as great. in my humble opinion three stars cause i love iced lattes and that's the only reason. read more
