I finally got to go here when visiting my daughter and really love the food and service and general ambiance. The place is deceptively larger than it seems from the high road entrance. Only later when we exited did I see the larger side entrance on Wyndham Rd. Ahmed is our favorite server. This guy hustles and is super accommodating. He is nice, funny and knowledgeable. Give him a raise please. With the 5 of us at this dinner we ordered a bevy of items including vegetable samosas, Bombay Aloo, Chicken Jalfrizi, among many others. I tasted most of them and they were delicious. Along with a few drinks, this made quite an enjoyable evening. I highly recommend trying New Dewaniam.

If they had a 4 minus I'd give it that and I'd order it next time. The lamb chops had a ton of flavor and an overabundance of garnish while they were cooked just right. I would have liked something else, but the other option was paneer, which I don't eat. - Beetroot Seekh Kabab: I thought this was going to be a delicious beetroot tikki, but it ended up tasting like meat to me. I had to check twice if it was vegetarian. I'm not a fan of fake meat at all, and this was not something I enjoyed. - Black Daal: this was decent. A bit too burnt flavor. Black daal traditionally is not burnt. - Kulfi: this was yummy. Overall, a great place to hang out. I wish they had more vegetarian and vegan options, especially if someone is paying $50 per person. Definitely give it a try. My coworkers who are meat eaters, loved it.
