The Agra galli KI aloo Tiki was my favorite, so much that we ordered a second dish. The dim biryani vegetarian was great too, the presentation created a suspense that added to a full experience that was quite enjoyable. Great find at Borough Market! Not many places are open on Sunday at Borough Market. We passed by the area earlier thinking I won't find any restaurants on Sunday and walked to the Tower bridge area. A quick Yelp search with "open now" function led me to this restaurant. Upon arrival without reservation, we were told wait is 30 minutes, so we put our name and went to a pub for a quick drink. I highly recommend making reservation here as more people arrived after us was told no more that night. I guess we were lucky to get a table that night. We all heard this before about Indian food in London, some are hit and miss but this place is defiantly one of the best I've ever had in London. Excellent service and great food. I will say that I'm not an expert on Indian Cuisine, but I really enjoyed this meal last night. The flavors were very good and the seasoning was throughout the meat. I was impressed with the lamb chops, as I had the meat plate, which seemed to have the most variety. I'd say the only thing I was not as impressed with was the Mango Brule. Although the flavors were good, I would have expected more of the sugared crust and the filling was a bit runny. Overall the staff were friendly and the food was tasty and moist. Amazing authentic Indian food and friendly staff. Loved the ambiance and had a wonderful time.

We did not have a reservation but they fit us in within 15mins at a cute table by the window. The food was just delicious. WOW! This has to be one of my favorite Indian meals I've ever had. My family and I got a couple appetizers and 5 entrees to split between us and were all just gushing over how amazing everything was. We started with the chili squid which was some of the best calamari I've ever had- it had an amazing sauce and was breaded in chickpea flour which made it so crunchy. We also had the papadum with these two amazing chutneys. For our meal we split it the Shinkandari Lamb Chop, the Goan fish curry, chicken Dum Biyrani, Saag aloo, and channa masala. HOLY MOLY! Everything was so flavorful, the meat so tender and just perfectly cooked (especially the lamb and the fish), and everything was perfectly spicy without being too hot. The atmosphere was wonderful, filled with people enjoying their meals, and the staff was so friendly and helpful in highlighting great dishes. We have already recommended this place to multiple people and will continue to do so! read more

This restaurant had phenomenal food. Everything we had was excellent. The service was top notch, and the servers at this restaurant were more attentive than other restaurants we visited in the UK. It is only a 10-minute walk to The Globe and less than a 5-minute walk to Borough Market. There are also a lot of little shops near there. If you like Indian food, you will enjoy Mango Indian. I will definitely go here again if I go back to London. It is some of the best Indian food I have had. read more

I wanted indian food but I was too tired to get up and leave my hotel. This place has delivery on their site, so we were good to go. Though there was a snafu about when the food would show up. It offered delivery at 6, then correct to 6:30, and really showed up around 6:45. I got it without further incident. Nicely packaged, labelled, and very hot without spills. I ordered basmati rice, plain naan, makhani murgh, chicken chettinad, and lacha paratha. All these items were fantastic. The naan and lacha paratha were really not enough as single orders to cut the spiciness from the dishes, would probably recommend ordering 2. The short of it is, the flavoring of the items is fantastic. I can't recommend the makhani murgh (butter chicken) enough. Actually, both mains were very flavorful. My only major gripe was that the chicken in both dishes was overcooked and dry. It didn't make it inedible by any means, but it low key spoiled the dishes. Really would recommend ordering from here if you have a hankering for Indian cuisine. It really hit the spot, and the convenience of being able to other from their own site was nice. read more

I loved the concept and decor. Very rich with wooden paneling and lovely plush furniture. The food is amazing. First of I would suggest ordering the papad, especially if your going to order alcohol. This restaurant is exactly why we travelled over 6,000 miles to eat at London's famous Indian cuisine scene. The flavors went beyond expectations and yet remained delicate and not overbearing. Spice levels were perfect (with the ability to add or subtract to your palette). Service was exceptional. Even the cocktails were top notch. If you had to pick one Indian restaurant in London to eat, this would be the place. We tried multiple different (and very popular) Indian restaurants and none of them came close to this establishment. We liked it so much, we came back to make sure we weren't fooling ourselves. This was a hard one. So many highs and so many bleh's but for the price, the blehs won out. Services: bleh. They were sorta nice? Not rude. Not friendly. Very quiet and a bit empty. The lamb chops for appetizer were amazing. I had super high hopes after eating the lamb chops. But the curry dishes just lacked the adventure and the complexity you love about Indian food. Everything went downhill after the lamb chops. I had high hopes since I looked at reviews and we hopped an Uber out here. Totally not worth it. This place is simply amazing, after our first day realizing that when in London reservations are a must I took up my friends suggestion on mush having Indian food when in London. The food service on ambiance was top notch. Appetizers we opted for the seafood plater which was fresh scallops that were so tender. The Somosa with lamb the flavors and the dough was just perfect. Main dishes we decided to split chicken jalfrazi which was spiced perfectly with capsicum and other spices, which went well with the nann bread. But the star of the night was the goan fish curry with lemon rice. The coconut flavors in the sauce just made your mouth sing. Let's just say I will be back this gem is amazing read more

Where do I begin? My husband was craving for Indian food while visiting London for the first time. We had such disappointment from another Indian restaurant of horrendous customer service that I wasn't too sure about stepping foot into another Indian restaurant. However, Mango Indian had a lot of great reviews on Yelp, so we decided to take a leap of faith. Thank God we did! I'm not crazy about Indian food to begin with, but Mango Indian took my breath away and made me look at Indian food in a whole new light. Mango Indian gives off a more upscale vibe and food can be a little pricier compared to other Indian restaurants we've ever been to. However, Mango Indian in Borough Market didn't disappoint. Here is what we ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala- Very good, a little on the sweeter side, but still creamy and the chicken was moist. Goan Fish- Taken away by this curry fish. I didn't know what I was going to be getting when I ordered this, but this was the best Indian dish I've ever had. It was so flavorful and tasty and every bite was sacred. Also comes with a lemon saffron kind of rice, which went great with the food! Garlic Naan- Smaller portions, but crispy and made to perfection. Vegetable Samosas- Looks can be deceiving. This starter dish came out and it looked smaller, but was extremely delicious and crispy with the lemon mint sauce that came with it. Comes with 2 samosas. All in all, Mango Indian in the UK was amazing, from service to food. We will be back for sure if we are ever back in London. read more

Stopped by for dinner. Interesting location. Kinda off the beaten path, down an alleyway that seems to be going through change. I'll leave it at that. Food was quite good. If you like Papad (thin, cracker like bread), be sure to ask for the one with spices...way better than the ones which taste like Pringle's. For starters, tried this dish which I can only describe as a deconstructed Puri (those little puffs filled with a taste explosion. This one was quite good. I think it was called Aloo Tikka, but ask. For the mains I tried lamb and chicken tandoor. Both were excellent, but for me, we get the same quality and flavor profiles in CA. read more

Came here for dinner on my last night in London. Had the following: * Starter of Papadum with Chutney - delicious. I only received two Chutney's. Photos on yelp show 3 chutneys and another vegetable side though. Not sure if maybe the other 2 sides only come with ordering the extra papadum. Appetizers: *Aloo Papri Chatt - delicious. Reminds me of the Vik's chaat in Berkeley, but here they add some berries that really compliments the dish. *Onion Bhajia - delicious. They could've given more of the chutney / dipping sauce. Main: * Chicken Chettinad - delicious. You could really taste the star anise. * Dum Biryani with Chicken - delicious as well. Dessert: * Gulab Janum with Vanilla Gelato - delicious. Loved the vanilla gelato. Although, I looked online and it looks like its vanilla ice cream. Overall the service was great. They were very kind and attentive. This place is amazing. This and Vik's Chaat in Berkeley are probably my top Indian places and they serve very different things. I would highly recommend this place to friends. I actually enjoyed this place a lot more than Dishoom. This was probably my best meal in London. Furthermore, the prices were really reasonable! TL/DR: This place is amazing. Food is great but customer service could be improved. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner this evening. We did not have reservations and they were able to squeeze us in, which was great. We shared an appetizer and a main course. The food was excellent and well presented. However, when we finished eating no one checked in on us. After 10 or 15 minutes, we flagged someone down and asked for the dessert menu. One of the waiters brought the menu for us. However, when we were about to order another waiter told us we couldn't get dessert because they had a big party coming in and needed our table. To be honest I was a bit upset. I felt like we were belittled as they were essentially kicking us out. If they knew there was a time constraint for our table, they could have checked in on us right after we were done eating to make sure we didn't want anything else. Alternatively, they could have at least offered to get us a dessert to go. Not a place I would be excited to go back to after that experience. read more
