Delightful culinary experience and authentic fine Indian dining experience.. would recommend reservations as it gets busy ..service was courteous and server was well aware of menu and suggested great recommendations. Cozy Ambiance ..

"We're all small place but we're known all across the world and people come here specifically for an experience." The Quote was from one of the hosts there, which sums up my time there. The Agra galli KI aloo Tiki was my favorite, so much that we ordered a second dish. The dim biryani vegetarian was great too, the presentation created a suspense that added to a full experience that was quite enjoyable. Definitely planning to visit again, next time in the area.

Outstanding food and the service was just as good. Such a chill spot for meeting up with friends, a date or even by yourself.

Great find at Borough Market! Not many places are open on Sunday at Borough Market. We passed by the area earlier thinking I won't find any restaurants on Sunday and walked to the Tower bridge area. A quick Yelp search with "open now" function led me to this restaurant. Upon arrival without reservation, we were told wait is 30 minutes, so we put our name and went to a pub for a quick drink. I highly recommend making reservation here as more people arrived after us was told no more that night. I guess we were lucky to get a table that night. We all heard this before about Indian food in London, some are hit and miss but this place is defiantly one of the best I've ever had in London. Excellent service and great food. Now I know them, I will defiantly come back on my next trip to London.

    Very interesting menu imagery

I will say that I'm not an expert on Indian Cuisine, but I really enjoyed this meal last night. The flavors were very good and the seasoning was throughout the meat. I was impressed with the lamb chops, as I had the meat plate, which seemed to have the most variety. I'd say the only thing I was not as impressed with was the Mango Brule. Although the flavors were good, I would have expected more of the sugared crust and the filling was a bit runny. Overall the staff were friendly and the food was tasty and moist. I would definitely go back again, if I was craving Indian food and in the area. Enjoy...

A very unique fusion experience of Indian food with British infusion. 5 stars for the creativity, -1 for the execution, but all in all I would still recommend Mango Indian if you are trying to experience something unique!

WOW! This has to be one of my favorite Indian meals I've ever had. My family and I got a couple appetizers and 5 entrees to split between us and were all just gushing over how amazing everything was. We started with the chili squid which was some of the best calamari I've ever had- it had an amazing sauce and was breaded in chickpea flour which made it so crunchy. We also had the papadum with these two amazing chutneys. For our meal we split it the Shinkandari Lamb Chop, the Goan fish curry, chicken Dum Biyrani, Saag aloo, and channa masala. HOLY MOLY! Everything was so flavorful, the meat so tender and just perfectly cooked (especially the lamb and the fish), and everything was perfectly spicy without being too hot. The atmosphere was wonderful, filled with people enjoying their meals, and the staff was so friendly and helpful in highlighting great dishes. We have already recommended this place to multiple people and will continue to do so!

The menus weren't cleaned, they were torn and literally had sharpie hand written over things that are out. Just reprint new menus. Service- there is a younger guy that's in there that is very nice. The older guy with the mustache, not so much. He was huffy and rushed us and didn't answer our questions about the menu. It's a huge menu and we didn't understand some of the items. We just randomly ordered a few things because he made us so uncomfortable. Food- the paneer and spinach croquettes were tasty but could have used some salt. The chicken biryani was so damn hot. We asked him in advance how spicy it was and he gave us a noncommittal not too spicy and well it was. We had to order another raita just to eat it. The daal was interesting. It had too many vegetables for my taste. The man brought out a dish we had not ordered on accident. Because we had no explanation of the items we didn't even realize it. We were mid dishing it out when he came over and asked if we wanted to keep it since we didn't order it and then ended up just grabbing it since we didn't order it. Weird and bad service.

For starters, we had the prawns and veggie samosas. Prawns were good and my family enjoyed the veggie samosas. Please not there are only 2 to an order. Entrees included black lentils w/garlic naan and chicken biryani. One can't handle spice and is lactose intolerant, and she was sniffling through the whole meal lol. The black lentils were good but the full flavor wasn't there and it wasn't as creamy as I've had in the past. The best ones I've had were in Thailand, but this didn't even come close. For both the lentils and the biryani, we had to add salt to try to enhance the flavor. We decides to give dessert a try and it was just okay. Initially we planned on order the gulag jamun, but it came with Cornish (vanilla) ice cream and I wanted pistachio. They were very inflexible and would not swipe out the ice cream even though they physically have to put the vanilla scoops on top. Overall, we wouldn't be back here. The quality of food is mediocre at best and hospitality could use a facelift.

Upon entering, your eye is immediately drawn to the myriad movie posters on the walls and to the lively Indian music videos playing on TV. I especially liked the many murals that dot the restaurant. For our party of 6, we ordered a variety of dishes to share along with 3 cocktails and a beer for the adults. All Of the cocktails were refreshing, tasty and were made with fresh fruit and/or herbs. Of the 3 cocktails we sampled, we liked the Ginger Refresh the best. The Elderflower & Strawberry Refresh and Mango Mojito were just as delicious. The Mojito uses fresh mango purée so be sure to stir well to incorporate the fruity yumminess! Let's talk about what we ate! Although the portion sizes are small to medium size, we felt that the 9 dishes we chose were satisfying for our party of 6. Everything we tried was delicious. Some of the stand out dishes were: tandoori paneer, chana, lamb biryani, spicy butter chicken and kurkuri bhindi.

The food was exceptional -- aroma, flavors, spice levels, portions; everything was perfect. While visiting London, a local friend invited me to Dishoom, knowing how much I love Indian cuisine. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5PM, and the place was already packed. They don't take reservations for dinner unless you're a large group, but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a fantastic bar where you can grab drinks while you wait for a table (they give you buzzers). I tried the Negroni and another tequila-based cocktail (sadly I can't remember the name), and both were phenomenal. Shared plates are definitely the way to go at Dishoom. We ordered the gunpowder potatoes (incredible), an appetizer with potatoes and pineapple (not my favorite; the pineapple threw me off), monkfish curry (amazing), and chicken curry. It was a lot of food for just two of us, but I couldn't stop eating. I seriously wanted to bottle up that sauce! The service was surprisingly impeccable, especially considering how busy they were. We ended up spending about £110 for an incredible dinner, and we nearly couldn't finish everything. Lastly, the ambiance! Inspired by Iranian cafes in India, the atmosphere at Dishoom is eclectic. I loved the dim lighting, unique decor, and the lively pace of the restaurant. Just go!

They had the perfect amount of grill flavor and were very saucy and well seasoned. There was no classy way to eat them--they were that good. For our entrées, we ordered the goat shoulder and the half rack of lamb chops. The half rack is more than enough for one person, especially with naan and rice. The reviewers were not lying when they said you must try the lamb chops. They came out sizzling, and we laughed because it took us back to dining at Chili's (iykyk). Perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The same goes for the goat shoulder. This was my first time trying it, and I was very impressed with how good it tasted. While I'm not usually a dessert person, you must try the carrot pastry. Everything here tasted spectacular, including the chili naan. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
