Goat Cheese and Beschamel plated lasagna.
    rod m.

We asked for outdoor seating and given table on sidewalk, which was not so great. Ordered spritzers which were good, not stirred. We got Arancini which was our best plate. They were properly done with shell and on a bed of marinara that was lovely. I got the Ragu, which advertised capers and peprocini in the dish... I didn't find them and it was cohesive with lamb and bits of mushroom, carrots and zuchini they add after the long cook, so they have texture. Missed capers. My wife is Lasagna fan and Beschamel Sauced lasagna is something we learned from our milanese family. This Lasagna has a goat cheese variant in it and the Beschamel sauce was just on plate prior plating. Not good. Unfortunately. Server was attentive but they have no floor captains or kitchen runners... so service is stressed. Likely to return for lunches but dinner was disappointing.

Isaac was my bartender/server yesterday for breakfast. Since making Vicino my weekend tradition, I had not seen him in weeks yet, he knew exactly what I prefer. He's a great young man! The staff and food are always 5 THX

Loved the funghi pizza, so good! Had a Blue Tang Clan drink and the name alone is worth ordering it for but the drink was great too. The place is adorable. Elegant yet casual and welcoming. Our waiter, William, was just the right amount of attentive and fun while giving us space to enjoy conversation and food. We'll be back!

First time going here and it has a nice ambiance with low lights and nice decor. The seating is a little tight but it can accommodate a lot of guests. It was pretty busy for a week night so service was just a little slower understandably so. The food was okay and felt a little high for the price point. It was $26 for 5 jumbo shrimp and this was an appetizer. We ordered the calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken piccatta, and steak. We weren't really impressed but if you're not worried about pricing, it's worth a try.

Has a girls date here right after work to grab an express martini and fries. What more could a girl want?? The bartenders were fun to talk to and we had such a nice time. Would definitely come back here for a date night or girls night.

Ordered the steak n eggs on this sat for brunch. When we walked in no one was there yet. But it got pretty steady during our time here. We sat in the bar area which was a good choice because no one else sat there and the vibe was really nice. We sat in a very sun lit area by the windows of course. We had this area to ourselves and our server Dakota was awesome. Very good energy and vibes. Loved the music. My sister got the salmon sandwich which was very good. I don't usually like salmon but the flavor was really nice. Back to my steak n eggs. Very filling entree. I subbed the potatoes for fries. Their fries are sooo good! I ordered medium well on my steak but should have gone medium as it was well done but still tender. Came with 2 eggs, I got over medium. The salad was actually my fav, I loved the lemon vinaigrette. It said kale but it was spinach I think. I also got a hazelnut cappuccino with almond milk. They use lavazzaa. Always a great time!

Our foodie group came to Vicino for brunch today and it was very delightful. The ambiance is beautiful and very modern with a gorgeous patio that goes all around the restaurant. Our server, Sophia, was a ray of sunshine and had a bright smile and a warm, friendly personality as soon as she came to our table. We did not have to wait long for anything at our table. The brunch menu was very good and has a good variety of items. The regular menu was terrific and had a good variety of gluten free/vegan items which made our group very happy. I decided to go with a mimosa for my beverage and the breakfast Panini for my entree. The Mimosa was very refreshing and tasted excellent. The bartender prepared it very well. The breakfast Panini was fantastic and tasted amazing. The fried.egg, mozzarella, tomato, and sausage with foccoa bread made for a perfect combination with excellent flavor. The side of pesto also contributed to the flavor of the breakfast Panini. It was a great breakfast and filled me up quickly. Vicino is an excellent brunch place on Mass Ave. and the prices are reasonable, so it is very well worth while to come here with friends or family for brunch on the patio. The croissant with Nutella spread is also terrific and worth checking out on the menu. This is a great restaurant and you will see me here again very soon.

It was a beautiful evening to sit on a patio and enjoy some pasta and drinks. We started off with cocktails. My friend ordered their version of the espresso martini called Baristo. I ordered the Cloak and Dagger which was a tequila drink. The Baristo was an absolutely perfect looking Espresso Martini. I did get an opportunity to taste it and it was one of the best espresso martinis I have ever had. My cocktail was good but but it wasnt anything special. I totally regretted not ordering the Baristo. As my entree I got the Carbonara . I was curious because I have never had it. The food came out very quickly. The Carbonara was fine but it didn't have much flavor. I once again tried what my friend ordered and I preferred her gnocchi . It had a lot more flavor. When I return I will definitely be trying some other items. But I will definitely be getting that Baristo.

Another slam dunk meal by Vicino. Let me start by saying we had wonderful service on a busy Friday night. We sat in a cozy booth large enough to fit 3 comfortably. I love the vibe in this place, sleek Italian. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had great flavor accompanied by the sides. Hubs chose the Devour menu and thoroughly enjoyed the fried calamari and lamb ravioli followed by tiramisu for dessert. Another delicious meal

Our group tries different restaurants when we are visiting Old National shows, monthly- and last month, we walked by Vicino- having never heard of it, we checked out the scene and knew we wanted to try it next. It did not disappoint! We even said we plan to visit when we don't have shows! I am not a fan of downtown bc of the busyness and traffic, but now I have a very good reason to drive there! Kevin- the best server was absolutely wonderful to our table, and the whole staff greeted us, even servers walking by! First, the ambiance and atmosphere was perfect! The music was upbeat without being annoying, the colors and artwork gave such a calming presence! The food- man, we are foodies! I ordered the Brie appetizer and none of the girls had had that combination- so it was a perfect introduction to them! Drinks were exceptionally balanced and that bartender was BUSY!!! Every single vegetable that came to our table was flawless bc they weren't soggy and an afterthought- they still had all the crunch and nutrients in them! (Vegetables are not supposed to be mushy- that is for every other restaurant, not here) Recommend the lamb ravioli- it was delicious but we found out they make their own gelato in house!!!! Get the pistachio gelato- IT IS THE VERY BEST WEVE EVER TASTED- that was the groups consensus. Check out the pics to see food presentation!!!

Finally tried this place a few months ago Honestly, this place is SO cute inside, but I think it would be a better place for drinks as opposed to dinner AND drinks. Why do I say this? The cocktails were DIVINE. You know when you drink a cocktail and you're like "oooh these are dangerous" bc it tastes like juice? Yeah, these are those. They're delicious. For dinner I ordered the chicken parm. I was blown away by the portion size. For the price, I think the size alone is worth it. However, the quality of the food is what surprised me. The restaurant itself seems to be quite elevated, but the food was subpar. When I lifted my chicken off the noodles, there was mozzarella melted on top but it looked like the good & gather shredded cheese in a bag from target. The center of the pasta was also cold and it looked like they poured store bought sauce from the jar on top. The chicken was really crispy and tasty, but I feel like the spaghetti portion I could have easily made by myself at home (and I could have also made it better) One of my friends ordered the margherita pizza and she liked it/said it was good. My other friend ordered cacio e pepe with shredded chicken. She liked it but a few hours later she couldn't stop throwing up which we assumed was food poisoning as she did not have any other foods or drinks between consumption and her vomiting episode. To end on a positive note, our waiter was really nice and did not rush us out even though we had been at our table for over 2 hours

Lamb Ravioli with ricotta and demi glace.

Loved our experince and would return when downtown for a pre-show dinner. I adored my lamb ravioli. The chicken pesto was really talked up, but we felt that it fell a little flat. Wonderful espresso martini.

While I don't think we should get an appetizer again because it was so much food, the marinara that can with the cheesy garlic bread was phenomenal. Both of our entrees were delicious! A ton of food. I wish we could have taken some home, but we're going to a show after. Brussel sprouts were to die for.... So good. Love the glaze they put on them. Again, I think we could have been fine with just our entrees and salads, but all the food we tried was so delicious - I am really glad we did. The entrees (the monkfish special and the carbonara) were good but not great. I did appreciate the crispy, smoky pancetta in the carbonara but the monkfish had a somewhat mushy texture rather than the he firmness we would normally expect. The biggest issue, though, was the check. The calamari never came off, the meatballs for the children's pasta were more expensive than what was on the menu, and we were charged for an extra calamari dipping sauce that we did not ask for. Most of these problems were fixed but the whole thing illustrated a lack of attention to detail and an appearance of up-charging the customer in any way possible. Overall: Food: fair 4/5 Service: decent 3.5/5 Pricing: suspicious 2/5

We asked for more bread and they gave it free of charge. I ordered the Della Casa and it was the best plate of pasta I've ever eaten. The flavors melted together in a creamy tomato sauce with the perfect amount of spice. It was genuinely the best sauce for a seafood pasta and the shrimp and noodles were both cooked properly and to perfection. Nothing was overcooked. Every bite was like heaven. I tried my friend's pastas as well and the Tortellacci was suprisingly so tasty. The amount of lemon they add in the sauce pairs so nicely with the cheeses they used. I say "surprisingly so tasty" because to the naked eye it doesn't look that special but when you take a bite your eyes get big because it's so good lol. The chicken was also insanely tender!!! I do wish the service was a little better. I feel like our waiter forgot about us and we barely got checked on during our time there, but the food made up for it.
