Roma is a true staple for me for date nights, girls nights, and any night when I want a great meal. The Vongole al Pistacchio e Pancetta is the dish I order every single time. It is rich, memorable, and easily one of the best pasta dishes in Carmel. The service is always great and the staff consistently makes the experience smooth and enjoyable. The drinks are excellent with a strong mix of classics and seasonal cocktails that are consistently delicious. Their tiramisu is absolute perfection and the ideal way to end the meal. Roma delivers every single time.

When the Indianapolis location of Catellos closed I was devastated but this restaurant quickly replaced it as my favorite Italian restaurant. You will want to get a reservation because they are always full. Finding parking in downtown carmel in the evenings can be challenging but the restraint does offer valet parking for 10 dollars. The restaurant is pretty and clean. The place is pricy but you get what you pay for. Everything I've had at that place was delicious. My favorite dish is the vodka pasta, I'm addicted to whatever sauce they put in it. The photo I provided is a steak with honey glaze that was a special they were offering when I went for my birthday and it was also incredibly good. The first time I went there, I didn't like the first thing that I ordered and had to order something else. They removed the price of the thing I didn't like from the bill, which was an incredibly kind gesture that I would never normally expect a restaurant to do. The staff in general are so nice and very knowledgeable about their menu so you can trust their recommendations about things.

I heard a lot of good reviews about this place and decided to try it for my birthday for some authentic Italian cuisine. Parking is not ideal for getting here as they have a very small parking lot but some street parking available. The restaurant is a good size but still cozy. We were were seated near the front in the evening so it the sun was blinding every now and again from where is was setting but not the worst thing. I enjoyed my food I just didn't love it. I did enjoy the complimentary bread with olive oil/balsamic dipping sauce. We had some fried brussel sprouts that were good and some deep fried rice/mozzarella bites (suppli) that i felt were too cheesy/fried to enjoy. I ordered the Gamberi E Pomodori Secchi (fettuccini with shrimp and sun dried tomato sauce) but it was too heavy on the sauce/not my taste preference. I did leave here disappointed that it did not seem to live up to the standards my friends set. However, there were a lot of other dishes and positive reviews from others that I would be willing to give it another shot but would definitely try other things on the menu. We had a nice server and everyone we interact with was kind!

First time back since they moved to the new spot and it did not disappoint. Beth our server was awesome. Great recommendations by her. Atmosphere was great. Decor fits a classy Italian restaurant. The food was amazing. I had the lobster ravioli and it was so good. Prices are very reasonable for such a great meal. Oh and they have valet parking. You want a classy Italian meal in Carmel this is the place.

The food was very tasty but the clams were so tiny there were basically nothing in there, it was just shells . The server took our orders which was two pasta dishes and we only received one plate of food bc he did not put in it which was odd bc we only ordered 2 plates of food so was not a big order . Overall the food was delicious

Enjoyed a date night here. Quant peaceful interior with a large bar for cocktails. Outdoor seating available but not always in use. Our waiter was wonderful and we enjoyed our server very much. He was knowledgeable about all the restaurant had to offer and clearly very pationate about his job, some of the best service we've had in a while. Food was great, highlight was definitely the bruschetta de carne. Pasta is all made fresh daily and you can certainly tell. Sauces were also great amd so we're drinks. They were pretty crowded on a Sunday night so I would expect a wait on a weekend at normal business hours.

My friend and I decided to meet up on a Thursday night. We both were craving pasta so decided to stop by here. We ordered the Italianissima (salad), Genovese Di Mare, and Spaghetti Alle Vongole. Everything was okay, but the Genovese Di Mare - something about the noodles just wasn't to our tasting. I'd like to come again to try their other dishes because my friends really enjoyed the lamb chops and ravioli. Our server offered to split our salad into two dishes so that we can easily share, which was nice. She was also very attentive and made sure we had everything. It's a perfect ambience for date night as well - will bring my husband next time since he loved pasta.

If you're looking for authentic Italian; then this is the place for you. However, understand that authentic Italian is not like "American authentic Italian" if you know what I mean. Nonetheless, the appetizer meat balls were phenomenal, but the bruschettine di carne looked good but did not execute well. That app needed something more than just steak and bread. The entrees were good, but nothing over the top. And to be fair; in my opinion that's just how authentic Italian tastes (it had flavor but not as much as you would think). The service was absolutely fantastic and we couldn't have enjoyed our time there anymore than we did. Check this place out!

Maybe they were having an off night during our visit, as our food was served cold and the pasta cooked unevenly. My husband and I both ordered the Genovese Di Mare. You could tell the pasta was homemade, but parts of the dish were undercooked and chewy (beyond al dente.). The seafood did not have much flavor, but may have been because it was cold. We ordered a Caesar salad which was ok. Whole anchovies on top of the salad were a little overwhelming, we were expecting a little more subtle introduction of the anchovies. There was also a small charge for the anchovies on the bill. Destiny, our server, was friendly and attentive. A manager did check on us, but we did not want to complain as we were with friends and didn't want to spoil the holiday mood. The dining room is upscale, nice and cozy. There is a small dedicated parking lot. They have such great reviews. Maybe this was just an off night.

We dined here for National Pasta Day last night and loved every bite. The salads are incredible, the service has always been wonderful (shout out to our lovely server Destiny!), and the pasta combinations are delicious and interesting. We love how you can choose the homemade sauce and protein and then pair it was the type of pasta you prefer. I ordered the... + Ortolana salad: Seasoned romaine lettuce tossed in extra virgin olive oil topped with seasoned heirloom tomatoes, finished with our balsamic reduction. + Genovese di Mare on pappardelle pasta: Sautéed shrimp and bay scallops married with our fire-roasted tomato sauce and Genovese basil pesto. Topped with extra virgin olive oil and parsley. Tomato sauce and pesto?! I couldn't resist it. The portion sizes are great and the ambience inside is so relaxing. My parents love that you can hear each other talk, so this is a great spot for both an intimate date night or a family gathering. We'll be back soon!

Sadly, the only photo I snapped during our visit was of the menu because I didn't want to be on my phone + it was communal seating, so we were busy make friends and eating delicious food. We loved one of the bottles of wine that was paired with one of our courses, so we put in an order for one. I got called that it was already ready for pickup a few days later, hence the second visit so soon (turned my wine pickup errand into a lunch stop with my work besties). The second Saturday dinner was an absolute blast. From 6:30-7 they had 3 of the most incredible appetizers and glasses of champagne during a little social (half) hour. Then we all transitioned to the main dining area to start the rest of the paired courses from 7-10. They have limited two top tables along the hallway going into the main dining area, so everyone else was paired with another couple or groups of people, depending on if you sat at a table along the back wall or one of the big dining tables. We sat with another couple along the back wall and it was really fun getting to know them over the several hours everyone was having dinner and wine together. My husband and I are usually very introverted, but a few glasses of wine definitely makes me feel more brave lol. Each course was equally delicious, but the ricotta-stuffed beet tortellini was my personal favorite. The staff told us a little bit about each course after everyone had been served and they let us know the chef handmade all of the pasta and intentionally had a heart-shaped indentation on them when they were folded together for Valentine's Day. Each dish was so creative and paired perfectly with each wine that the sommelier poured for us. Overall, such a fun experience and an interesting way to spend Valentine's Day. When it was time to go back in and pick up our bottle of wine I asked a couple of work friends if they wanted to go with me to have lunch there. We also sat at a table on the back wall so my pregnant friend could be more comfortable (booth type seating on the back wall and then chairs on the other side). My other friend and I each got a Prosecco split, which was delicious. I also got a cappuccino because I can't pass up a coffee from anywhere, it would seem. I got us the marinated olives to all try and they were really good, with a fruity kick from the citrus peels added in. All three of us got the tuna melt and salad and it was really good and warming for the chilly day. All three of us felt that the tuna was masked by the cheese and peppers/onions. It is definitely a good sandwich for people who don't like overpowering fish flavor, but we all like tuna and wished we could have tasted it a little more. I can't wait to come back and try some more pasta dishes.

I got a chicken parm and a meatball parm a few cookies, an espresso and an Italian hot chocolate.. My question, like someone else had wrote below about the bakery goods. The place is way to small to make in house. Most of the cake slices and mini treats are obviously pre packaged. So I wonder where they get the goods from and how long they sit before they renew. The service was good. Counter help was polite and pleasant. I grew up in the 70s and 80s in the North East and remember the smells of the food, bread and baked goods being made IN HOUSE. Stacco House had none of this. If I was blindfolded walking in I would never know I was in an Italian Bakery. It had more of a smell of a standard coffee house. Stacco passed, but in a way that was sort of disappointing. If you are going to call yourself authentic cuisine maybe try a little harder then to just have some Dean Martin playing in the background. It was almost Olive garden-ish. Sorry if I am offending anyone but when you have had real, you know what real is. Also, the nail in the coffin..... The business card. The Italian flag, from the flag pole out is green white red. The card has it on an angel as red white green. If the flag is draped vertical, green is on the top.

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

This place is small...much smaller than I had imagined. In my opinion, there isn't really a good seat in the house, literally, because the restaurant is a converted home in a residential setting. Each and every table is either by the front door, near the kitchen, or restroom-adjacent. It also seemed like they were having some plumbing issues or something, because one area was blocked off making the seating situation even more limited. It was nice out, so we probably should've dined on the patio. Our server never introduced himself by name, so I didn't learn that tidbit of info until we got the bill. We ordered the deviled eggs flight, which he told us that he couldn't tell us about because "it's different every time". He did check for any allergens, which was thoughtful. The deviled eggs themselves were very much a blank canvas and the toppings were the entire show. Server asked if we wanted to play egg roulette or if we wanted him to tell us what they were. We wanted to know, so he pointed to each...extremely close, and I was so distracted by his finger hovering so dangerously close to my food that all I heard was "chimichuri". I have no clue what the others were. Oh, I think one was chili crisp! I also had the crab cake and loved the aioli that it was served with. My husband had the BLT, which comes with an egg on it and is served on Texas Toast. He's not a fan of Texas Toast, but he enjoyed the sandwich. If I were rating this on food alone, it would be 4 stars, but the cramped atmosphere and level of service brings it down to a 3 for me.
