I enjoy edibles on rare occasions, so this was something new for me to try for relaxation purposes. Very refreshing ! I also had the Ginger Beekeeper. Very light and deliciously refreshing after an intense Pilates/Yoga class. I plan to return and bring my dog to enjoy the patio and other new brews.

My favorites: Netflix & Dill (Pickle Gose with Black Garlic), Deep Purple (Dragonfruit Ale), and Deep Blue (Blueberry Ale). Next time I'd try some of their blends, like Blue Dragon (1/2 deep purple and 1/2 deep blue). I didn't even realize there was a brewery over here until Gizmo hosted a paint your pet class (led by Victoria Lowry). The brewery is set back between Westgate, Ebenezer Church, and Glenwood. We never noticed it from the road and even with GPS were not confident on which building held the taproom. The class was inside, however, the outside beer garden looked nice with chairs and a TV playing the football game. The bartender was very patient and helpful. She allowed us all to taste several beers. If you like pickle juice then look no further than the Netflix & Dill. It was delicious. The inside is kept at a comfortable temperature and we enjoyed their music selection (classic rock, 90-2000s alternative). Overall, we enjoyed this brewery and recommend it to others!

It's been a while since I had Lonerider's beer and at one point it slipped my mind to write a…read morereview about it but then I realized there was still a review I haven't posted yet for the brewery and decided to rectify that oversight. We had three different beers from this brewery, one in which appears to be no longer in production. The discontinued one was a pale ale by the name of Peacemaker. It was refreshing and enjoyable to have. Flavor features with this beer are that typically seen with a pale ale which are hoppy, malty and sweet. The beer is very light bodied which is nice and very smooth. Unfortunate that it's out of production. The other two beers we had are still being made. One was Shotgun Betty which is a Hefeweizen. Not bad but sometimes I struggle with Hefes and the strong banana clove flavor which was the case here. It was good that it was light bodied like most Hefes are and smooth also. The final beer was the Sweet Josie Brown Ale which I think was my favorite. The sweet, malty and coffee flavors are very enjoyable and like the prior two beers a nice smooth body to this fine dark beer. I am glad I recalled this brewery experience as I felt it was important to post the beers we had and what we thought of them!

We had nachos and wings which were good and service was friendly enough without being overly intrusive. They have a number of board games to play and we really enjoyed ourselves. I don't live in the area, but will return when I return. My only complaint was the stools which were rather uncomfortable. There was other seating in the building, but it was in use so uncomfortable stools it was.

The pizza looked good & cooked on the outside but was kind of gummy on the inside as if it were cooked too fast & wasn't done inside. We had time constraints so we were unable to get the pizza recooked.

I visited the former one and there was a clear reason it failed...their beers weren't good. Oaklyn on the other hand came in swinging and made some amazing top tier beers right out of the gate thanks to their head brewer Daniel aka Rusty, who developed all of their core beers as well as some knockouts over the years. This is by far the BEST brewery in the Fuquay-Varina area and in my opinion one of the best in the Triangle. I've been a customer since they first opened and I've had over 300 beers per Untappd at this location. I have several bottles of their rare barrel aged releases in my beer cellar. I used to be a weekly regular but I've since greatly reduced my beer consumption for my health and longevity so I don't make it out but a couple times a year now. Their beers are on a completely different level than any other brewery in Fuquay. They host various events and food trucks throughout the week. Long gone are the days of Wednesday night music bingo with DJ Gino and hot dogs with Chicago J Hotdogs. We used to be able to count on those two each Wednesday and a lot of us regulars laughingly joked that Wednesdays was kid night due to the amount of kids in tow and yes I am guilty of bringing my kids...J charged like $2 for a kids hot dog meal, was so cheap to feed them!! They really like to plug in with the community and host fundraising events as well as shopping events with pop-up shops a few times a year. When they were first getting started there wasn't a lot of business or traffic. One of the four owners would often be there, sometimes all of them, and they even paid their own tabs!! On top of that they always made sure the bartenders were taken care of on slow nights. I saw them hand them $100 bills multiple times so they really do take care of their people...you couldn't say the same of Aviator or Mason Jar Breweries. The only problem with the brewery is parking. There isn't much of it. Especially if there is a big event. And if you park in Enterprise's parking lot you will get towed. There have been times I went to visit and there was no parking anywhere. Sometimes you could stop and ask Kumo if you could use one of their spots or park in the collision center parking lot. Now they have two tap rooms so if the brewery is full I would just go to the Varina taproom. I love how community oriented this brewery is and has been and it will go on my favorite lists for best of Raleigh and the Triangle and best of Fuquay.
