I went in today to get my nails done and asked for a white French tip full set. Unfortunately, the final result was not what I requested. Instead of painting a white tip, a white acrylic nail tip was applied halfway down my nail. There was no base color or white polish added afterward--only a clear topcoat over my natural nail. After the nails were finished, chrome was applied on top, which I did not ask for or approve. Overall, the service did not match what I requested, and the lack of communication and attention to detail was disappointing. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a traditional French tip or for your requests to be followed closely. read more

Went in with my daughter for gel and acrylic manicures. Lady nicked me and worked the gel around my bleeding pinky...only apologizing a while later. My daughter requested a french tip long acrylic nail and the acrylic base of the nail was not covered in a nude or pinkish polish as is usually done, so she has the french tip but nail tip still showing under it. Also, the "gentleman" there is not fit to welcome anyone; when we walked in he yelled - what you want??? Not a good business practice for first time customers. Will not return. read more

The worst pedicure I have ever had. Didn't remove all of old gel pish. Uneven cut nails. And don't clean up the cuticles. Previously I had a gel pedicure and didn't want another one. And I think when I said no to a pedicure she did a crappy job Did get a gel manicure. Not great either. Lots of residual material around my nails and cut from filing around my cuticles. There are many other salons in the same price range in our area go to one of them. I do not recommend this salon and will not be going back. read more

My 86 year old Mother that can't hear or see we'll out of her right side, was getting her nails done there as she has for years. The guy doing her nails ( hardly speaking English), said to her, " she says your mean!" Looking at another girl speaking Vietnamese to him! My Mom was shocked! She's been a customer there for years! How this person who spoke extremely broken English, dared say that to my 86 yr old Mother She told him , " no one can understand you and your always speaking to each other in your language, not to us in English!" She was hurt, embarrassed, angry! The next day my Mom was in the ED, diagnosed with a large brain tumour! That's why she can't hear or see we'll from her right eye, ear now. To have this person insult her, out loud, and have others hear him, was absolutely unforgivable!!! The manager did not correct this person when he'd heard the entire thing happen! We were asked to next time leave the people in wheelchairs in the car cause they were to "busy" and they were in the way. I told them ok, we will not be coming here again. I will not leave my residents in the car while it is snowing. I had an appointment for three people but was treated as a walk-in. We each had nails done well. On my second visit, I chose a natural look. The gel was applied over my cuticles so I have a ridge at the edge of the grow out that is unsightly. Will not go back or not use that technician again. read more

THIS WAS AWFUL. I have gone to my fair share of bad nail salons but this was by far the worst of all. My mother, my best friend, and I all went to get our nails done today and it started with us having to wait over a half an hour just to get in but that was understandable. Then we all sat down and none of us we happy. None of the shapes were correct and it cost well over $100. The second we were done my mother asked to be compensated for and they did not give her anything for the awful service they provided. They also cut all of us and put ACETONE on it which doesn't feel too good. After she came out to the car in an awful mood, me a 16 year old girl went in there myself. I have been coming to Vicki since I was 16 years old. I'm now 30. I love Hannah at the Salon, but Kara is great too for a powder manicure. Prices are very reasonable as they have always been. The salon is now updated. I strongly recommend you make an appointment for one of the two ladies listed above, but different mau I'll techs can do different things. I get gel polish in my toes, and I always have Hannah do them. You pay more for gel or powder, but regular will not last as long, and powder gel los my brittle nails not break. read more

As much as I raved about them before, be careful with Vicki Nails. Do not go to the woman with short curly hair for acrylics. This was my worst experience ever. The pictures represent my nails after 1 week. They lifted so bad that the technician at Lindsey's Nails had to take them off and give me a brand new set. (I spent $80 in 2 weeks). Vicki Nails also charges you something different every time that you go even if you get the same exact service done. In fact, the woman with the short curly hair at Vickis charged me for gel even tho I brought my own regular polish and didn't even sit under the UV light. Just be cautious when going here. read more

My daughter and I started going to Vicki Nails on a referral. It's a 30-minute drive each way that we now do religiously. They are exceptional technicians. I get the pink and whites and have never had so much as a chip. We have been getting our nails done for a long time and this is the fastest and most accurate salon I've ever been to. My daughter gets the gels and they are gorgeous every time. They are also the least expensive place I've been to in Rochester, but the quality is better than places that charge far higher prices. Girlfriend had her nails done with a gel manicure. They shaved off all her long nails all the way down to the tips of fingers. Like wtf salon?! What was the thought process with those people and taking her nails all the way down and not trying to preserve them?! The polish was ok, but whole procedure was expensive. She didn't realize they had shaved them down so close until after a few nails were done. At that point it was too late. Yes, nails will grow back, but seriously? Your paying $30 at a nail salon, when I, her boyfriend, could have done them exactly the same for little to nothing. It's supposed to be professional and it's like they screwed up the first one, so do the rest exactly the same; and don't tell the customer a thing. Plus they like to speak a different language directly in front of you, which is rude. Culture is different everywhere in the world and this may be acceptable in their country, but it's considered rude in the US to the average citizen. They have their right to speak however they want but it's exactly like telling a secret next to other people. It's rude. Could make you feel like they're speaking about you when they tend to glance at you while they do it. Not nice. Especially with the terror of covid-19 it is even harder, if not entirely impossible to leave the house. I called ahead and made an appt for a mani pedi. I arrived a little early, signed in and took a seat. After waiting nearly a half hour and watching several people walk in after me get service right away, I left in tears. It's scary enough being out in the world today, let alone making an appointment to have to wait over a half hour to not even be seen. I've been many times. They TRY to do a good job with acrylic nails but 8 out of 10 times they mess up the polish. Either the design isn't a good job ( squiggly lines or lines put where they shouldn't go) or they have you leave so quick that it doesn't have time to dry properly. Sometimes they don't make the nails even. The gentlemen that runs it speaks ok English but no one else really speaks much. I totally agree with the other comment every time I've set up an appointment you never get in until 30-50 mins AFTER your scheduled appointment. That's why I have stopped making them. It seems faster if you just skip the appointment and just walk in. The good thing is that the gentleman that runs it or seems to run it is very friendly and can help translate.He also remembers faces, so when I go or bring my daughter in we always get to chitchat. I've always loved Vickis nails and gone for years when I get my nails done. I've had acrylics on for 6 months now and I've always paid with my debit card. Today when I went, they had signs EVERYWHERE that you needed to tip with CASH ONLY... these signs were not there last time I was there. There was 3 people who paid before me with their card and tipped with their card and didn't get anything said to them. When I went up to pay I asked them to add $5 for the tip. The guy who sits at the front desk who wasn't even doing my nails or anyone's nails for that matter rudely chimed in and said "we don't take tip on card anymore.. you need to bring cash with you..." I said hmm this must be something new you're doing cause I've never seen this before... he said yup it is. So I told him I won't be back.. this is the same guy the last time I had my nails done there that was using the drill so aggressively and so fast I had to tell him a half of dozen times that he was hurting me and to please slow down... he continued doing what he was doing and not caring that my nails were burning... the guy who did my nails today though... did a fabulous job, just very turned off by the way in which that guy running the front desk talks to customers and the way he addressed me today.... will take a lot for me to come back read more

I debated having a manicure due to a broken collarbone and the inability to lift my arm up ro the station.
