I always have a good experience here! their egg sandwich is huge on fluffy cuban bread! I didnt get that this time, but it was very good. Today i had the pan con bistec (again the bread is fresh) the steak is seasoned so well. i like the addition of the potato sticks for a little added crunch. I had their chocolate cake pop for the good time and it was fantastic. Great chocolate and super moist on the inside. We also ordered the pan con lechon and that was equally good. Very disappointed with the service in an empty bakery. The girl was more interested in sweeping the floor than finishing with the order. She was argumentative and rushed my 84-year old mother with the order. We ended up accepting items we did not order but the employee insisted my mother ordered them. She hurried me at the register to pay and left the register without even giving me my receipt. I told her she was rude for not finishing with me she apologized but then said she did not feel she was rude. That is absolutely not an apology. Last time this bakery gets my money. Not all Vicky Bakery locations are made the same and it clearly shows. This one did not have a lot of variety of baked empanadas. Now I really shouldn't be surprised as many don't, but given how this is a newer location (and let me tell you that it really shows with the decor), that was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, they scratched my Cuban bakery itch after moving to Tallahassee. Bought a plate of ham croquetas and some Cuban bread. Great new spot for your Cuban bakery yummies. Nice and clean. I've picked up the guava pastilles, Cuban bread, Cuban crackers, senoritas, cafe con Leche, as well as tres leches. All solid. We also custom ordered a strawberry cake with natilla for a birthday and it was both delicious and fresh, all while being beautifully pink. The only reason why I didn't leave 5 starts is I was disappointed with the personal size tres leches. Not made of the same quality and caliber as the other locations. I'm not a fan of having pieces of cake scraps placed in a very tiny cup with way too many tres leches milks, where it becomes a tres leches soup. Maybe the larger-sized tres leches might be better. All other Vicky bakeries make this dessert perfectly and it is my favorite dessert that I pick up from all of their locations they make one of the best in Miami ) Happy dining y'all! I've been going to Vicky Bakery since I was a kid. Every time I come to Miami I stop by one of their locations. I was so happy when I found out that this location opened up right around my mother in laws house. We ordered some pastelitos (not pictured) a croqueta preparada and pan con bistec. As usual the food was delicious and did not disappoint. The location had a very cozy area where you could sit and enjoy your meal. It was clean and there was plenty of dessert options. The only reason I gave it a 4 star review instead of a 5 is because the order/pay/pick up set up is a bit confusing and honestly a lot of steps. You walk in and order, then you are asked to step aside. They call your name at a back counter and you pay and asked to once again step aside and wait until your order is ready. In my opinion it's to many steps. All other locations I've visited you order and pay in the same register, then you step aside and wait for your order to be ready. Not sure why we can't pay for our order in the first register. Regardless of this issue, I will continue to visit because the food is worth it. I am hoping they open up locations in Orlando soon. read more

The place was packed and the tables were dirty. Crumbs and sugar all over the table. They should put out Lysol wipes so we can at least clean the tables ourselves. We ordered croqueta de jamón, pan de bono, pastelito de guava, and cafe con leche. I personally didn't like the croqueta, it was more dough than ham. The pan de bono was okay, not the best and the pastelito was missing the bottom half. We were only given the top crust... I didn't even get any guava lol All in all, the cafe con leche was the best thing we got. My husband says it's really good. My toddler and I had a small breakfast here today, consisting of cafe con leche, tostada, guava pastelito, and orange juice. The staff was nice though a bit slow. The pastries and drink were good. The tables weren't being cleaned promptly after each client. But everything was fairly clean. The biggest issue for us is the lack of a high chair. It's the first place we've ever had this issue, I had to juggle with a toddler to get him to sit and it. But we would visit again, and maybe be armed with more arms. read more

It is assumed that a toast comes with butter". She responded, "no it's not assumed!" So I responded, "so when people order toast you don't apply butter to the toast?" Bottom line, waited almost 10 minutes for 2-cups with ice; requested my toast smashed 3-times; I didn't get the butter on them until my 3rd request and every request was met with and eye roll and was met with arguments. I left the bakery without eating the toast. Unhappy after spending almost $80.00 for a place that doesn't have courteous employees. What happened with the saying, "the customer is always right" ??? We visited here shortly after it first opened. The line was long and seemed disorganized. The flow of the restaurant was odd, narrow at the entrance where people stand and wide, and the rear area where it was empty. The front service counter was at head height and some of the associates were short. It was a challenge to communicate with some of them. After you finally order, you have to unnaturally move to the left either to pay and/or pick up your food. I order Eggs with Bacon and cheese with Cuban toast, I got chopped ham instead of the Bacon. This is just my honest first experience. I heard they had to close for about 2 weeks or so, then they re-opened. I need to re-visit to see if they fixed some of these issues. Placed an order more then 24hrs before spent about $100. Just to be picked up in the afternoon of the day I requested. This was for a party of course and time sensitive that's why I put a certain time for pick up. Arrived and order was not ready, employees didn't know of the order being placed. And they started right at the time when I put for pick up. Ridiculous. Ended up waiting 24mins almost half hour. And it's not like they offered anything for the inconvenience or apologized.
