When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a nice & friendly lady who made suggestions & showed us the specials for the day. This is very much a family setting with plenty of seating indoors & outdoors when it's nice out. Also the parking is plentiful. We first ordered the corn nuggets, I wouldn't order those again, just had that frozen taste. I had the cheeseburger it was ok, I feel like it needed to be seasoned. The husband felt the same about his burger. We are pretty sure these are real hands patted patties. Not a frozen premade burger. Tater tots were good, my chili cheese fries were drowned in the chili & cheese. Just way too much! The employees are just amazing & super friendly. Had a terrible experience with customer service when they 1st opened and haven't gone back since. My husband prepaid for a sandwich to pickup after I got off work. I called to let them know I was on my way (before closing hours) they said they were closing early and asked if I wanted to come by the next day to get my order. It was supposed to be my dinner. I learned of Vicky Lou's restaurant several weeks ago on the web. Today, 2-7-25, My wife, Ginny, and I had a wonderful experience. First we met Ms. Mary. We told her this was our first time at the restaurant. Ms. Mary, who is super welcoming, told us of the specials and other food items. My wife got a Hot Dog and onion rings. I got a cheesesteak and fries. My wife liked the dog and especially the onion rings. I had the best cheesesteak in years. All food made fresh and served piping hot. Good food and great service!!! This was even towards the end of the night before they were getting ready to close! The shakes were so delicious - I was surprised at the variety! Been by this place numerous times but today I had the opportunity to stop by. Big selection of Milkshakes, Burgers, Po'Boys, Wings, Salads, Plates, Sandwiches, Hotdogs plus Kids menu. There's a selection of a half dozen of each category or more. The owners have brought together a selection of food from their original locations, New Orleans and Wisconsin. Very nice and clean. Great new restaurant with a diner feel. Small venue with about 6 tables (if memory serves me correctly). Just what the area needed! We decided to stop in since it's only 1.5 miles from our house. I can tell the proximity is going to be a problem. This is not fast food so be prepared to wait for your food to be cooked to order. Not a long wait, but definitely worth it. Our party of three had a bacon cheesburger, hamburger and a philly cheesesteak with fries. Can't forget the hand spun oreo milkshake - delicious! Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Ate at Vicky Lou's for the first time today on my way back from Gainesville to Alpharetta. Nice little local restaurant with a staff that has a deep Southern accent. I got the Hamburger Steak Platter. It was all fresh cooked to my order. The fries came out without salt, which is great because I forgot to ask for them without salt. They gave me a nice side salad with the platter. The Texas Toast was buttered and toasted on both sides, something you have to ask for at other places (like Zaxby's). The platter also came with a fountain soft drink. Food was good. Just wish the Ketchup packets weren't all sticky from one leaking on them all. Note to kitchen staff: customers in the dining room can hear you complain about the evening crew not taking things out of the freezer to defrost. read more

The food at this place is ok and it's nice that it's in a convenient location. My problem is, you never know when they are open. Their website says their open until 8 some days and 9 others but almost every time I've ever tried to get dinner there they are already closed. Tonight I started trying to call just before 7PM and no one answered. Got to the restaurant at 7:02 to find out they have already closed for the night. The veggies were fresh and they give you a pretty solid helping of meat. I was full after 1 burger and fries which is pretty rare. Don't expect to come in and out of this place in under 5 mins. I heard about their wings & fried mushrooms. They did not disappoint. The wings are large, meaty portions, seasoned just right & served hot.
