Solid upscale sports bar atmosphere with better food choices than most sports bars. Not giving 5 stars because well, that's saved for fine dining in my opinion. I got the shrimp and grits, very tasty! My husband got the French onion soup and it was average, the cheese wasn't melted and enough. Our drinks were good. Be prepared to spend more than you normally would at a sports bar but I felt the prices were fair for heat we got. Not too many reasonably priced Tavern lunch spots out there these days that smoke their own ribeyes & smoke brisket for their take on Philly Cheese Steak, French Dip & corned beef sandwiches, things that Kelley's Tavern does very well. We met friends for lunch on Black Friday & expected a mad house but surprisingly found the establishment not busy at all. Parking was easy in their own lot. Menu has bar food favorites including a fish & chips plate & salads. Spacious booths provide diners room to spread out & we were pleased that the tap room's TV's volume was kept to a minimum so that we could comfortably converse. Service was provided by a team of pleasant individuals. All HOT sandwiches ordered came out of the kitchen piping hot. Salad's beautifully presented & put together with fresh quality ingredients. I haven't been disappointed yet with the food at this restaurant. I chose to get something different this time, and the service was quick as usual, food was ready in 15 minutes! I got the tavern salad this time and this sweet and savory salad had me wanting more. The candied pecans with the goat cheese is such a great pairing. I did choose to use my own dressing (equivalent to a balsamic vinaigrette) just because I didn't want the walnut berry vinaigrette that comes with the salad. Visited on a Sunday while in the area for a soccer tournament. We didn't look at the hours, and therefore didn't realize that they close on Sundays at 3, after their brunch service (we walked up at 2:50, and I hate being that gal that walks in at closing). We were going to turn around and find another place, but they welcomed us in! The wings had pretty good flavor and were satisfying in a pinch. I saw a review recommending the Reuben so decided to try it. I went with my wife and daughter. I had the Reuben with fries. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough with okra. My daughter tried the fish and chips with sweet potato fries. All three were exceptional. Inside was smaller than expected, but nice and clean including the restrooms. We came here for a lunchtime meal on a Saturday a few weeks ago. They had a special lunch/brunch menu that was cool. I got a delicious burger with pimento cheese and bacon and bacon jam. Love the place! The food is not consistent. Came in for the fabulous cheese grits, they tasted like someone dropped a pepper shaker in them! Last week came for a burger. Kelley's us a great place which nicely decorated and has a menu of food we loved.Especially the Ruben sandwich and chili. Also have a good selection of beers. Their staff is always friendly and their prices are fair. It is one of our go to spits when we eat out. Ironically we were talking about going there this week UT my wife noticed they have made drastic changes to their menu which we don't like, eliminating some of our favorite dishes. They have also reduced their hours.We will definitely go again soon to see if we still like it as much. We hope we do. read more

We had great service. The food is excellent. The corn muffins and fried cheese bites are my favorite appetizers. We have been here multiple times and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Most recently I took my Mom on Sunday for Brunch and it was delicious. She especially enjoyed the Sweet Potato Fries. They were short staffed and busy, but everyone had a great attitude. Our server, Madison, was working tables in addition to the bar and she was excellent. We tried this place for dinner last night. Big mistake. Our experience was somewhere between bad and awful. The bad: wife and I ordered the $13 burgers, very well done for her, medium for me. Something was "off" with the taste of the meat (the menu described it as local grass fed "Talmo Beef") We both noticed it and it wasn't a good thing. My side salad was wilted and soggy, and served 5 minutes after the burger. Her side, mac and cheese with white Cheddar and spiral noodles, was OK - just not what she expected. Overall, the service was average, as long as you don't mind making multiple requests for napkins, water refills, or the side you ordered. Now the awful: I was sick all night - stomach cramps and diarrhea. I don't have a weak stomach and eat red meat cooked medium to medium rare on a regular basis without any issues. Just saying. I'm not buying all the 5 Star reviews here and neither should you. There's better food, service, and ambiance at more reasonable prices around the corner at Wild Wing Cafe.
