The last 3 times I have ordered from Spice Wing, the orders have been cancelled by the restaurant with ZERO EXPLANATION. Twice on Postmates and once straight from the Spice Wing app ... one time on Postmates was for a pickup order, where we were sitting in the parking lot and watched 3 employees walk out cursing and hollering at basically the same moment our order was cancelled. We did an online order and went to pick it up. We ordered hot honey lemon pepper (we did not taste honey or lemon which makes me think we didn't get the right flavor) and kickin bourbon. The food was ready when we got there which was great, the guys at the restaurant were nice enough however someone had a very heavy hand with the seasonings. I will say the wings were a decent size and cooked perfectly just way too salty and drowning in sauce, with a little work I think it could be great. The tenders were pure breast meat. The wings here also very good. The fries really tasty as well. The carrots and celery were dried out and old. The food is good. The wings are made to order. They have a lot of sauce choices. It's good enough that you forget the train wreck of everything else. However, there is so much going wrong at this location. I understand the wait for fresh food, but the employees make me believe it's their first day on the job. Wow!!! These literally are the BEST wings I have ever had! I recently moved to the area and was looking for Friday night dinner and I stumbled upon this place. Boy am I glad I did! I've been back every Friday for three weeks in a row! The place is very clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating plus they sell beer! The staff that I came in contact with were very pleasant. The owner (I think) helped me choose the sauce for my wings and fries. He let me sample the three sauces I was torn between. All of the sauces are very tasty! I settled on lemon pepper (of course) and bourbon. You can choose from a variety of different cut fries. I chose waffle cut with cajun seasoning. I wasn't put off by the price being exactly what you would expect to pay at a wing spot. Once my food was done in about 10 minutes I was completely blown away!! The wings were normal size and cooked to a crispy perfection with plenty of seasoning and sauce! The fries were abundant and hot. I'm addicted!! The concept here is your pick you chicken such as wings or tenders and then pick your sauce and pick your fries. They have a few different fry options from standard fries to waffle, spiral etc and if you want flavoring in your fries. The food was hot and fresh. I got my sauce on the side so I could dip and make sure I liked it. All in all the food was good, but nothing special and nothing that makes it stand out and want me to rush back. Absolute WORST SERVICE EVER! We ordered a big box of 100 wings plus additional wings. Paid the $8 delivery fee, then added tip of $27 because our order was so big. Based on the online ordering website they came with veggies. When we called they said they don't do veggies anymore. Obviously wish we knew that before we ordered. Then when we opened everything, we realized they did not include 20 of our mild wings. Called back talked to manager. Said they only had 3 staff workers there. Sorry, still doesn't help me with my missing wings. Then said they didn't have it on their receipt. Well, I gave them my receipt with the order on it. Then said they didn't appreciate the way I was talking. I just stated that I want my order, I will even come get it. Nope, they have no record of it. We've always ordered regular size dinner orders from them, but do yourself a favor and DO NOT order from them if you have a large order. With no explanation in the description that it is a mix of boneless and bone in. I asked for 1 blue cheese and 1 ranch. I get home and I got 2 ranches and no sauce on the hot wings. Spice wing is such a pleasant surprise to have in Dawsonville. I no longer live in the area, but it's one of my main go to places when I come back to visit. I'm a spicy food lover with wings being top of my list and the boneless citrus chipotle and boneless Cajun are some of my favorite wings. I'm a big fan of the Cajun curly fries. One of the best things spice wings has to offer is the option for jalapeño ranch. It's perfect for the fries and the wings and one of my favorite ranches. The restaurant is small and has some outside seating, but works well for take out. The menu has a wide range of chicken options and even chicken and waffles. They also have fried Oreos and fried Twinkies. They have the option for ordering online and picking up. The staff is very friendly and it seems they're still working out some of the being new kinks, but all in all a great place to come to grab some wings. Me and a friend where craving wings so we went here over the other places do to it's ease of access. When we entered staff where friendly to first timers and explained everything on the menu and answered questions. After ordering it took like 12 minutes for 25 wings and frys. Food was delicious and wings where a good size. Wings where covered in sauce and the siracha and hot sauces where delicious. I place and order over the phone for pick up on the way over to pick up my order I got a text saying it was ready for pick up and to just give my name once I arrive . The wings are very small and are not as good as a typical pizza place - so not sure how you can have a wing place when you don't do them well. I would give them a zero if I could. They claim to be all this and offering delivery in support of COV-19 etc. They charge $8 for delivery . Which is steep , but okay, fine but then you have to tip blindly . I gave 15% on the food./delivery , I don't tip on tax. It came out to $43.04. I ordered by food and wait over two hours and no call. I call them they don't answer the phone. They then close . So I wont use them again, and I would suggest steer clear of this place.
