I have never met her cleaning crew. They were scheduled to arrive at my condo at nine tomorrow. Today, I was asked to commit to bi-weekly service which I did. It is not easy to get decent or above average cleaning. But I made the mistake of adding a caveat to my commitment to bi-weekly service. I said my intent was to keep her team coming every two weeks but their performance might influence that decision. Well, A-Cleaning Service, Beatriz, does not give the benefit of the doubt to the new client. She simply said she canceled and would not send the crew she had promised. Obviously she does not lack for clients and can afford to be picky. Still I wish she had had a strong confidence in her team's ability to do a good job. Instead she pulled the plug on me and it was all over before it began. Not a good feeling. On the other hand I questioned why Beatriz never visited my unit, told me only that a new crew would come tomorrow at 9:00a.m I was not sure what to expect. She told me she would not be coming to make introductions of her crew to me or to inspect the property. And she added they speak Portuguese but can communicate with basic English. Somehow that customer feeling was absent. It appears clients are a dime a dozen and she can pick and choose. Which she did. Tomorrow my condo will NOT be cleaned by A Cleaning Service. Queasy feeling!!.

I had a cat room that was a little gross, gave a tip for her to clean it. She left before the apartment was done and I was out of time as I had to turn on the keys in 15 minutes. I sent her the pictures I took after the maid left. Conversed with the owner Katie again and we agreed that it wasn't finished and she missed things she was supposed to clean. Katie agreed to refund $100. UPDATE: Refund finally came through. Good communication at the end. Make sure you ask all your questions before you book them.

Prior to scheduling, I check their options online, I called and spoke with Lekia because I had some questions about their services and I wanted to make sure I was selecting the correct one. This is for a condo (rental unit/lock box for key on site) where previous tenants had made a huge mess. I wanted the cleaning company to clean under the washer/dryer, refrigerator and stove. I explained that there was quite a lot of work to do. I noticed they had two options, Deep Cleaning and Move Out. So my questions where, do you clean under the appliances and which service should I select to make sure I maximize my results, if both services are required, I'm ok with that as well. Lekia informed that only one service was required, Move out. This was to allow for everything to be done. I went back online booked my service and provided tip. The service was not available until Wednesday I believe but I included a note requesting for earlier cleaning if available. I received an email confirmation, they moved it to Monday. So far costumer service was ok. I get a call on Monday, letting me know that the cleaning was done but that they had left the key in the unit by accident. They asked if a copy was available, if not, they offered to replace the lock. Which was the right thing to do, except my rental management company was on their way to show the unit. So this was a problem. I told them, my mother who stays 5 mins away has a key and I needed that key to be back in the lock box within the next 15 minutes. I didn't anything for the next 20 minutes so I assumed the key was placed back. WRONG! I get a call from my rental management company looking for the key. They had to wait for Lekia to come back and open the door with the extra key. These should've being a warning for me. In the afternoon I get a call from my rental management asking me to go check the unit because it didn't look like it was clean. I stop by on Wednesday and yes, they didn't do a very job at all. I send them an email, Lekia called and as I was explaining my frustration, she started speaking over me, cutting me off, raising her voice, and decided to blame the management company. I told her that I couldn't continue and to please send me an email with her explanation, she did. I'm going to try to include copies of our email exchange but I think Yelp limits the amount of pictures. We exchanged several emails, my last one was requesting to be contacted by the owner and/or manager. I'm still waiting to heard back. I will include this review in Google Review as well.

Unfortunately, the cleaning was incomplete, and we were also disappointed by the communication and professionalism during the service. After we posted our original review, the company publicly acknowledged our concerns, apologized, and promised us a full $280 refund. They also offered a complimentary re-clean, which we declined because we had already cleaned the apartment ourselves. We accepted the promised refund in good faith. The company had already cashed our $280 check for the cleaning service. We could have placed a stop payment on the check, but we trusted the company's written commitment that they would issue a full refund. Unfortunately, the refund was never issued. We have followed up multiple times by phone and email, but the company has ignored our calls and stopped responding to our emails. What is especially disappointing is that the company publicly acknowledged the problem and made a clear promise to refund our money, but then stopped communicating with us after receiving and cashing our payment. We are still waiting for the $280 refund that was promised to us. We simply expect the company to honor its written commitment and return the money they agreed to refund. I am sharing this update so other customers can make an informed decision. If the refund is eventually received, I will update this review accordingly.

It pains me to write this review, because I really do think Sonia is a good, kind person at heart…read more However, that doesn't excuse some of the following behaviors, which ultimately led to us parting ways after many years of working together. When we first hired Sonia and her team, the house was spotless, as Sonia came herself to make sure this was the case. As time went on, I started noticing lack of effort and attention to detail, despite her prices continuing to climb. Also, one room used for storage wasn't cleaned and originally we weren't charged for it. However, she seemed to forget that with time, and despite not cleaning that room, included it in her new pricing. But that is far from all I take issue with. I noticed dust was left on surfaces at times that seemed to have been missed more than once, judging by the 3 inch layer of it. I pointed this out to Sonia, and instead of apologizing, she told me I didn't do a good enough job tidying the house before she got there, so they didn't have time (I believe you call that gaslighting.). They also constantly missed cobwebs in obvious places as well as spots of mold on the shower curtain. We had multiple discussions to try and make it work. I went out of my way to make things easier for her and her team, like getting a plant stand so they wouldn't have to lift things. My ex partner and I would make the house pretty much spotless for the cleaners, obviously defeating the entire purpose, making it a waste of money. Yet Sonia would still complain about how we made things difficult for her. I tried to make it work and wanted to, but I felt like a broken record, which I told Sonia, yet she repeated the same behaviors. She failed to listen when I repeatedly asked her to respect the advance notice I requested, as I had a premature baby, chronic illness, and a high pressure, in-person, full-time job. I asked for 7 to 10 days notice, which is not unreasonable. Yet somehow, most of the time, I would find out they were coming one or two days in advance without a time specified until usually the day of. I honestly do a much better job cleaning the house on my own by pacing myself and being thorough (and saving money!). And I know that it's wrong to say the client is always right, because that's just not true. However, I think blaming the client, gaslighting them, failing to listen, and doing a half assed job for high prices isn't the best look for a business. I was just tired of the excuses and having to repeat myself. And while I have tremendous empathy for those going through hardships, like I myself have been, using your personal difficulties as an excuse doesn't strike me as very professional (personally, I was expected to follow the same standards at my workplace, despite having chronic illness and personal difficulty). Do yourselves a favor and find someone who will respect your time and money, will do a much better job, and won't make you feel like crap.

I am impressed with how well she handled such a difficult (the kindest way to describe it) cleaning. She took her time to make sure that the job was done right and I am so thankful for how wonderfully clean our house is now. It was by no means an easy task but she didn't seem phased at all. She was not able to connect me with Tonya immediately and took a message, but I had a call back within a few minutes. I knew I was giving late notice, but Tonya was able to get me in before the end of the month. They started on time and were able to shift gears as the office was a bit worse for wear. She came out with a carpet cleaner and we were able to go from a basic clean to a deep clean with carpet cleaning at a very reasonable price. As I was preparing to move into my new home in February 2021, I decided that cleaning the home was not something I wanted to deal with during the move-in process. After doing research and reading through reviews, I decided to go with this company. They are definitely more expensive than other cleaning companies in the area but I figured it was due to them being thorough. On the day of the cleaning, I allowed 3 of their staff, including one of the co-owners, into my home to clean the vacant house. I had other tasks to handle so I left them in the home and came back an hour later. Upon my return, Mr. Chappell started walking me through the home (in a rushing manner), directing me to give the okay for each room. I informed him that I saw dust in several places as well as the floors not completely vacuumed. After he walked away from me, I had time to review the cleaning more thoroughly to discover that there were several areas their team had missed. When I informed him of the continuous issues I kept discovering, he told me that I cannot go back and say something needs to be corrected after I've already given the okay. I politely informed him that he was not going to tell me what I couldn't do in my home and that I would not have had to request better cleaning if his team had done it properly in the first place. Words were exchanged and his team corrected the problems but by this time I was frustrated and ready for them to leave my home. He subsequently called me and I thought it was to apologize for his tone and the inadequate cleaning services they had offered. BUT NOPE. He called me to tell me that he wanted to up-charge me $50 for cleaning my EMPTY refrigerator since it wasn't on my already $500 cleaning bill. At this point, I requested to speak with his wife, the other co-owner, who I had previous correspondence with. I explained the issue to her and she agreed to waive the refrigerator cleaning fee and give $40 off. I was exhausted by the whole situation and ready to just be done. To add insult to injury, I had an exterminator come in the same day and I told him about the cleaning service. He looked around and said the home didn't look thoroughly cleaned and it didn't even smell like any cleaning products. I would have left the situation alone if I didn't have to bring a friend in subsequently to help me actually wipe the inside and outside of my cabinets, thoroughly clean the bathrooms him and his team were suppose to clean, and numerous other cleaning tasks that should've been covered by their services. After speaking to several people about the situation, everyone told me it was important that I wrote this review because I would have done things differently myself had I known this level of service would be provided. Talk about a making a moving process more stressful and $450+ wasted. My hope isn't to scare people from using this service but for them to understand the impact they had on my moving process. I ended up pushing my move-in date back a week because I had to find time to actually clean up behind them.
