Contracted with Katie to clean my old 3/2 apartment I moved out of do $380. The cleaner was on time, she was nice but she didn't finish the apartment before she left. I had a cat room that was a little gross, gave a tip for her to clean it. She left before the apartment was done and I was out of time as I had to turn on the keys in 15 minutes. I sent her the pictures I took after the maid left. Conversed with the owner Katie again and we agreed that it wasn't finished and she missed things she was supposed to clean. Sorry for long review. This is for a service done on June 12, 2017. I'm including as many pictures are possible to help with your decision to hire this company. Prior to scheduling, I check their options online, I called and spoke with Lekia because I had some questions about their services and I wanted to make sure I was selecting the correct one. This is for a condo (rental unit/lock box for key on site) where previous tenants had made a huge mess. I wanted the cleaning company to clean under the washer/dryer, refrigerator and stove. I explained that there was quite a lot of work to do. I noticed they had two options, Deep Cleaning and Move Out. So my questions where, do you clean under the appliances and which service should I select to make sure I maximize my results, if both services are required, I'm ok with that as well. Lekia informed that only one service was required, Move out. This was to allow for everything to be done. I went back online booked my service and provided tip. The service was not available until Wednesday I believe but I included a note requesting for earlier cleaning if available. I received an email confirmation, they moved it to Monday. So far costumer service was ok. I get a call on Monday, letting me know that the cleaning was done but that they had left the key in the unit by accident. They asked if a copy was available, if not, they offered to replace the lock. Which was the right thing to do, except my rental management company was on their way to show the unit. So this was a problem. I told them, my mother who stays 5 mins away has a key and I needed that key to be back in the lock box within the next 15 minutes. I didn't anything for the next 20 minutes so I assumed the key was placed back. WRONG! I get a call from my rental management company looking for the key. They had to wait for Lekia to come back and open the door with the extra key. These should've being a warning for me. In the afternoon I get a call from my rental management asking me to go check the unit because it didn't look like it was clean. I stop by on Wednesday and yes, they didn't do a very job at all. I send them an email, Lekia called and as I was explaining my frustration, she started speaking over me, cutting me off, raising her voice, and decided to blame the management company. I told her that I couldn't continue and to please send me an email with her explanation, she did. I'm going to try to include copies of our email exchange but I think Yelp limits the amount of pictures. We exchanged several emails, my last one was requesting to be contacted by the owner and/or manager. I'm still waiting to heard back. I will include this review in Google Review as well. read more

I have been using Maid New for a little more than six months and I am so satisfied. A few of the previous reviews mention this but I have to emphasize this point - the personal touch is what sets Maid New apart from other companies. The owner, Lekia, always tries her best to accommodate my requests. I am probably a nightmare client because I request cleans with very short notice. Sometimes she can do it and at other times she is booked solid. Her and her team organized my walk-in closet. All I had to do was purchase what she recommended. My closet is still organized based on her original system. It doesn't always stay neat but the system is there. Plus she makes it look neat when she does a cleaning. I was sold after my first cleaning with her. My guest bedroom had pictures, papers, and other random items all over the place. Lekia and her team nearly organized the books, pictures, and papers. My framed photos are now on display in places where they belong. I'm usually not there when cleanings are done and she is usually gone by the time I get home but when I walk in my house after the Maid New team has been there, I feel so relieved. This was my first time using their service. I had the deep cleaning, refrigerator and stove cleaning. I didn't think the oven could get that clean. They did little extras I didn't expect, like hanging up my daughter's school uniforms. They were prompt, friendly and courteous and finished my 4 br, 3 ba home in exactly 4 hours. I'll definitely have them back on a monthly basis and will be scheduling a deep cleaning for my Mom's house soon. I love that I can schedule and pay online! read more

We have been using Maid New for weekly cleaning for nearly 2 years and I couldn't be happier with their service. We are scheduled for the first cleaning of the day and they are right on time 90% of the time and arrive within 15 min of the appointment the rest of the time. Our cleaning team is efficient and does what they are supposed to do thoroughly. The web site is very clear about what is and isn't included in the price so everyone has the same expectations which I really appreciate. They even water my poor neglected house plants. I have recommended them to several of my friends and neighbors and each of them has told me that they are happy with the quality of service. The provided cleaning and organizing service to one neighbor as she was getting ready to put her house on the market and she was pleased. Communications has always been prompt and courteous. I usually email if I need to contact Lekia but I have sent a text when I needed to contact her immediately and she replied within 10 minutes. I had Maid New come in to my apartment a couple weeks after moving in to a new place. A move out cleaning had been done previously, but stains remained on the kitchen counter tops and there were some areas that had grime that the owner told me would not come out. My cleaner let me know when she ran a little late due to traffic, which was no problem, and did an AMAZING job. She was great with my dog and those stains I was told were permanent? Not so. My counters look fantastic, as does the rest of my place. I'm really happy I used Maid New and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

I have been using Maid New for at least 6 months (maybe longer?) and they are the best. I had been using Maids in Black which was good but inconsistent and did not go as deep as I would like. A friend recommended Lekia and I now have the team in every other week. There have been weeks where a suitcase is dumped out on the floor and they put things to rights and some weeks I've been fairly tidy and they get to go further in organization. Each time they are reliable, thorough and I'm very happy to come home to such a clean apartment. It is worth every penny. Plus they seem to do a little bit or additional organizing every time, like under the kitchen sink. I have referred the service several times and always to rave reviews. Maid New is the Best! Maid New just left my home. This was my first cleaning. Overall the cleaning crew did a pretty good job. I have small children and they did a good job organizing clutter. The staff was friendly and very professional. I had a few spots noted for touch up but that is usually the case when you are cleaning a home for the first time. The price was reasonable and competitive as well. I have several friends looking for a home cleaning service and I will most likely recommend Maid New to them. read more

I have been using Maid New for a few months now and was referred by a colleague after I had some nightmare visits from a previous company -- Handybook (now called Handy, I think). For my first time, I purchased a "deep cleaning" and there were things that I didn't know could be cleaned, that were cleaned. At one point I looked over at a bookshelf and noticed that my DVDs had been put in order, by title, BY SEASON. Sometimes they will take down the items from my drying rack and make the most precisely neat folds in my yoga pants and nonshrinkable shirts... it's truly incredible. The attention to detail of Lekia and her staff is some of the best I have ever seen. I got my mom a cleaning for her birthday back in October, and she is STILL raving about the thorough job that Lekia and her team did on the 4 bedroom house -- ceiling fans and all. I requested service from Maid New cleaning on a Monday for a Saturday cleaning. Two days prior I called to clarify a few things and confirm my appointment. Saturday morning I get an email which said they called and left a message (they did not) to say I am outside their service area! (Changed from 2 stars to 1 because of horrific customer service) This is now becoming ridiculously hilarious. DO NOT USE MAID NEW!!!! Some context: First, Maid New wrote a response saying that they stayed an extra 30 minutes without charge (lie- she had previously told me she left prior to completing the jobs because her parking had expired). Then, the response was that they stayed an additional 15 minutes for an additional charge (also a lie). Next, she edited the response to apologize and offered to come back and finish the cleaning job. Now, she has rescinded this offer to complete the work and is saying that my husband did something she can't mention on-line and that is why she left early without finishing the job. My husband is the nicest, friendliest middle school teacher ever. I'm not sure what she is trying to insinuate but this has just become hysterical, bordering on crazy. These are the stories I have heard so far: I needed a deep clean, her parking was going to run out, she actually did finish the job, and now, apparently because of my allegedly "dangerous" husband who was safe enough for her to stay for an hour in my place with, but too dangerous to finish the job. It seems as if lying is this company's MO. See the post from 2/18/2016: "The following statement from the owner is a bold-faced lie: 'Our cleaners arrived a little before 3PM and were refused entry. While it is against our policy to refund gift cards, in this case, we offered a full refund.'" Here are my initial responses to her ever-changing replies: Response to the response: You admitted on the phone that you rushed the job because parking was limited to two hours, and my husband reported that you had left by 4:30. You obviously did not stay extra time, and you did not complete the work. Worse than being an ineffective cleaner: being dishonest. Response to update: First you said 30 minutes, then you said 15 minutes to provide an additional service for which there was an additional charge - neither of which was true. To potential customers: beware of the lack of integrity of Maid New. Agree with the poster on 2/18/2016: had much much better for much less money. I called to give that feedback and spoke with the person who cleaned my place. She was very very defensive and reported that she had cleaned places that I was looking directly at that had clearly not been cleaned. Their website mentions a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee: "We do our best to meet or exceed your expectations. If you're not satisfied with the job we did, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion, and we'll return and complete the job to your satisfaction." When I called, I was given a list of excuses (parking was about to run out, etc.) around why the job was rushed, but no offer to finish the job. Will not use again. read more

I had a cleaning done a couple months ago for my apartment in Arlington. Very easy to set it up, I've tried several other cleaners and just getting my phone call returned was a major struggle. Just one cleaner showed up for my one bedroom apt but she got everything done in the same time that it normally takes 2 and she did a great job.
