THE FOOD ---------------- + House Salad - Tomato chunks, red onion slices, olives, cheese and LOTS of vinaigrette. Solid typical house salad. + Fried Calamari - Was a smaller portion than we anticipated, but was well-fried and very good though. Just wish the plate was bigger. + Large Plain Pizza - Vic's classic 14" thin crust pie - Very thin and very good. Like the restaurant, it was a no frills cheese pizza that was light. For a large pizza, 14" is kind of small and we would have liked if it was more of a standard size large pie at 18". THE SERVICE ------------------- + Waitress was friendly and all of our food arrived very fast after ordering. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Old school interior. No fanciness here. Just a whole lot of wood walls and panels with a bar in the back. + Private parking lot in the back has a lot of spaces. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Arrived at around 1:30 on an August Saturday afternoon and it was busy inside, but not overwhelmingly so. We were seated right away and there were plenty of open tables and booths to spare. = They sell merch, specifically restaurant-branded T-shirts at $20 a pop (as of August 2026).

Went for the classic Italian pizza option in Bradley Beach for dinner last weekend. We had four adults and two pre-teens, and managed to finish almost 3 full large pies (the crust is pretty thin, but we also like to eat!). We got a special pie (sausage and green peppers), one with onions and pimentos (maybe my new favorite!), and one with pepperoni and meatballs (I would've preferred pepperoni by itself). Other facts -- full bar, lots of space for seating and larger parties, all people from your party need to be there before they'll seat you, and a parking lot.

Recently went down to Jersey shore to visit family and found this place on Yelp, I have to say they have one of the best ultra thin pizza ( bar Pizza)I've ever had anywhere. The crust and dough is outstanding great sauce and cheese and they offer many different toppings as well. The chopped antipasto salad is a must, enough for 4 people. Was in the mood for cheese ravioli and this dish was just way overcooked and very mushy... definite disappointment. Carafe and half carafes of red and White House wine, decent and goes great with the fantastic pizza. Fish, eggplant, chicken, and veal dishes. The veal dishes are cubed veal didn't order. Waitstaff is hit or miss. Some very friendly others not. Place is very busy and many locals love this place. Definitely recommend for the pizza. Truly one of the best.

Old School traditional Tavern setting established 1947. Friendly Service and a straightforward menu. Formica tables, Carpeted Floor, Wood Paneling. It's 1965 in here and it's fine with me! Vic's is unapologetically traditional! They do what they do and do it right. If you're searching for a traditional Bar/Tavern style Pizza. Look no further. Its good reputation is well earned. Thin Crispy Crust, Sweet Sauce and gooey cheese. Can be a little greasy but actually in a GOOD way! Flavor bomb! Pepperoni, Sausage and Onions is the way to go! Fried Calamari appetizer is just the right size and if you order the Antipasto Salad; it can be shared by 4 people. It's BIG! Seating can be a little trying on busier nights (weekends/Summer) etc but moves well enough, and worth waiting.

I've been told to come here and finally visited! The parking lot was packed so we found street parking. Came during the week and when we walked in the waiting area was crowded, so we thought there was going to be a wait, but we were seated right away. Sat in a booth in the bar area and I liked the old school, yet comfortable vibe there. We got drinks- the wine was a little pricier than I expected and I wish they served single glasses of prosecco instead of just a bottle. We started with the chopped antipasto salad which I really liked and then we got a regular bar pie which was awesome. Probably my favorite bar pie. The server was also really sweet. Can't wait to keep coming back!

My first time inside. Pizza good. Bartenders nice but not so knowledgeable about basic drinks. Interior...I think you had to go here for decades to still appreciate. A classic and I enjoyed, even if I personally did not grow up going here.

One of my favorite places to get food to go or dine in! This time, I got it to bring home. It sure never disappoints! We love Vic's.

BRADLEY BEACH: A true staple in the heart of town, Vic's Italian Restaurant is a beloved Italian restaurant and bar serving up everything from classic pasta dishes and crave-worthy pizza to fresh salads and hearty meat and seafood plates. The linguine with tomato sauce and the meatball-topped pizza were both absolutely delicious, especially when paired with a glass of wine or a handcrafted cocktail. They have a full bar and can make just about anything! We sat on their charming, dog-friendly patio, which features a few umbrella-covered tables nestled around an ornate water fountain, such a peaceful spot to dine. Just have someone in your party check in at the host stand inside, then walk around to the Main Street gate to access the patio. Shoutout to our server Ella for being so sweet and attentive!

    - Service: Fast and friendly staff. - Ambiance: They could get packed during the summer time even if it's on a random week day. However, they're a big restaurant with a lot of indoor and outdoor seatings. Clean and nice atmosphere. Moderate noise so you can still talk and listen to each other. - Food: I dined here for the first with a friend back in summer 23' and I remember their plain pizza and their chopped salad are to die for with a huge portion! However, I came back with my family recently for summer 25' and it's quite disappointing. Complimentary bread is nothing special. Mussel sauce pasta is too watery and pretty bland. We add pepper & onion to our pizza. It came out freshly hot like always and definitely hit the spot if you're hungry or craving for some pizzas. Their dough leans more to a thin and crusty type of dough, which I like. It just didn't impress me as much as the first time I had it so just 4 stars for now. Will comeback if we ever go down the beach though.

Ok. So - per ALL the locals - this is the casual spot to go to. It's been around forever and the staff is super engaging and friendly. I opted for the house wine which was just fine for a late summer night after the beach. The portions are HUGE. Here's the breakdown- the house salad is delicious. We had garlic bread with cheese which was addictive. My soup was delicious and super filling. Sadly then entrees were just below average - their "signature" lasagna was subpar, the pasta pomodoro was blah, and my chicken parmigiano was ok. The bill was super cheap so if you're looking for a quick, no frills place. This is it.

Just one of their meatballs. 2 come in an order.

Have eaten here many times. Love the neighborhood vibe. The food has been solid but not super memorable or outstanding. We've brought friends from out of town and it's convenient, but again, not amazing. They weren't wowed by the food. We like to order the meatballs and add to our own pasta when in a hurry or get a pizza to go. Wish they had garlic knots on their menu.

Old school thin crust pizza with lots of bubbles! Love me some bubbles on my pie! Crust-delicious, cheese-delicious, sauce-meh, but ok. Place is definitely a step into the past (as all good Jersey joints are). The one negative is the service, the staff here couldn't give a damn if you died at the table waiting for a drink refill or check

Great pizza and mussels marina in a tightly run old school pizzeria and restaurant. I hope it's around for a long time.

We came, we saw, and my husband conquered :) A few things to note about Pete & Elda's..they don't take reservations. This is an incredibly popular spot, especially in the summer months, so if this is on your Jersey summer list..block out some time for this experience. They do offer to-go if time isn't of the essence, but I do feel like if you have the opportunity to have the full experience, take it. We've never done a food challenge before, but essentially the challenge is for (1) person, 30minute time frame, conquer a full pie, receive a t-shirt and of course, bragging rights. As we were seated, we noticed several other tables had at least one or more people taking the challenge, which was super fun to see and root on. Also in the parking lot there were people taking pictures with the iconic Pete & Elda's sign with their t-shirt and friends. The pizza is like a cracker-thin crust, super yummy and shareable for large groups. We had the cheese, and others at the table ordered sausage/onions, and pepperoni. We also ordered breaded mushrooms (an NJ shore classic) and zucchini sticks for the table, a Caesar salad, and macaroni and cheese for the kiddo. FYI, the macaroni and cheese was pretty fire! I've been eating a lot of kiddo meal leftovers on this trip, and this was a standout. I love the bar atmosphere of this place too, and learned you can actually also order "bar pies" at the (bar only). Great beer selection! There are other food classics on the menu as well if pizza isn't your thing like chicken parm, stuffed shells, veal, seafood, chowder soup(s), burgers, cheesesteaks, and more. All in all, my husband got the t-shirt, finished the challenge in 19 minutes, took the picture, and we all have fun memories of this day. This seems like a spot that holds a lot of memories for families coming to the Shore, and spending summers eating pie and enjoying tradition and celebration. Can't wait to do the same next summer :)

My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon in June. The taproom felt spacious with natural light, and was well decorated with off-white walls and interesting plant decor.
