We enjoy this Jersey Italian shore spot and we've been here twice. Portions are big and the cooking is solid. It's always busy and can be a bit noisy inside, but the vibe is very good and friendly. We opted for all seafood, since we were following the shore rule, I e when within 1 mile of the shore you must eat seafood. LoL. Scampi was the most beautiful, but my seafood risotto was absolutely delicious. I had veal parmesan the previous time and it was also excellent.

Great location right across from the beach! Cute atmosphere and decor. Lots of great menu items to choose from. We got fried calamari and a pizza. The fried calamari was a generous portion, and the pizza was good. Pricing was good. Service was a tad slow for a not busy day, but otherwise we enjoyed and would come back. It's a great place to get off the beach and grab lunch before heading back for an afternoon on the beach. Some people came dressed for lunch and we had walked right off the beach with bathing suits and a cover up. So either works.

A friend and I walked in around 30 min after the restaurant opened and we sat outside. We each ordered an aperol spritz which was delicious! I got the crab cake sandwich and my friend got the poke bowl, which despite being on the appetizer menu, it was enough as a full meal for one person. My crab cake sandwich was pretty good but my friend didn't like her poke bowl as much since it was drowning in soy sauce. Her stomach also severely hurt after the meal. Overall, we enjoyed the aperol spritz aspect of the restaurant/meal so we would probably return just for a drink.

Food is great this was my second time there. Drinks are too strong though. Pizza is great there I got the bruschetta pizza last time I got the margarita both great. I ordered the chicken franchise it was really good. The restaurants decorated so cute with the orange arch. The bathrooms had no ac though it was hot in there. I've tried the salad to there and the giant meatball both really good as well.

Our party of 10 enjoyed our meals. Bread was delicious. But the number of flies really put a damper on the experience.

We chose to sit in the enclosed veranda at the front of the restaurant; Amelia's is located on Ocean Ave. and has some beautiful views! We started with a few cocktails - my partner got the Lavender Martini, which she said was very good. I got the Pineapple Margarita, which was excellent! I saw meatballs on the menu - I always order meatballs when having Italian cuisine (Amelia's represents itself as '...a blend of old school Italian and contemporary continental cuisine..'. They were some of the best meatballs I've ever had. Amelia's blends pork, veal and beef for its meatballs - they're tender and seasoned perfectly! The marinara was excellent and there was a dollop of ricotta to stir into the sauce. It was an epic appetizer! For our entrees, I ordered Wild Caught Shrimp Oreganata with mixed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. The shrimp were butterflied and quickly grilled - they had a plump, tender interior with a grilled exterior, in a delicious sauce. The potatoes were very good, and while I'm not a big fan of the mixed vegetables, they were good. My partner ordered one of the specials - the Lobster Capelinni. - 6 oz. of lobster on top of angel hair pasta with a delicious tomato-brandy sauce! We couldn't believe how much lobster was on the pasta - it was tender and very tasty! After 2 excellent entrees, we decided to try the desserts. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I ordered the Carrot Cake (one of my favorite desserts) and my partner ordered the Chocolate Cake, one of her favorite desserts! My 'carrot cake' wasn't a cake but a conglomeration of icing and thick layers of 'fudge-like' cake. Visions of a fluffy, rich cake with freshly grated carrots and 'warm spices' flew out the window! My partners chocolate cake was dry and not moist at all - I've had Duncan Hines chocolate cakes that tasted better!! While the desserts were a big disappointment, the meal was excellent and we will return to Amelia's on our next visit to Spring Lake.

We went out to eat twice while there, once for dinner and once for lunch. I will review both places using this as my intro to the reviews. For lunch on August 5, 2026 we ate at Charlie's of Bay Head. We were 4 adults and a toddler. I was surprised the ratings I saw were basically average, in the high 3's. That was not our experience. Considering my daughter had tried unsuccessfully to book a dinner reservation, which she said was true for their entire stay at the beach, was why we ended up here for lunch, and should tell you it is more popular than a mediocre location. This is a pricier spot than my other review of last night's dinner at the Wharfside, but the menu and ambiance support it. Like the night before there were cocktails and wines with lunch, though less so than we'd have had if it were dinner. The wine list and cocktail offerings were more than just decent, though not extensive. Being lunch and not dinner, the selections were lighter than a dinner would have been. There were several sandwiches from steak, to chicken, to crab cakes, and lobster rolls. Our toddler ate off the children's menu and enjoyed the mac and cheese. We also had several appetizers, including calamari, the steak egg rolls, which seemed more like a burrito than an egg roll, and king crab, which, while delicious, was not worth the money at $165/pound. It is a lovely location with waterside dining, but service was slow and why we skipped out on dessert. For those challenged by the stairs at the entrance, there is an elevator that can be accessed to bring strollers and those with handicaps up to the restaurant. This was definitely a 4, maybe a 5, but not anything lower. At least that was our experience

We placed our appetizers which arrived in a reasonable time line but we had to wait 1.5 hours for our main meal to be delivered. Way too slow and they were extremely slow this evening. Hated to have a confrontation at the dinner table but one happened and it didn't go well. Good luck and pass this place!
