Their location was very close to the AirBNB we where staying at, and the variety of menu options made it appealing for a large group of people. Overall, I would say that the breakfast sandwiches where good, the regular pizza was fine, the specialty pizzas where interesting, and the sandwiches missed the mark. Well, I should have just agreed with the other reviews. I think I am, but I was trying to stay positive about this place. While I was ordering my pizza, it was very rushed. I was asking about different pizzas and what they were, and they were automatically getting put on my order when all I did was ask about it. So I decided only to get my zita slice and two plain slices. I should have gone back and complained about my pizza, but I was just way too hungry and tired. Totally revolting. When I told the staff, they acted like it was no big deal--no apology, no accountability, just complete disrespect. For a restaurant that pretends to be "nice," the reality is they clearly don't care about cleanliness, their customers, or basic human decency. Eating here is a gamble with your stomach. Long Branch was the first beach I ever took my kids to. This was a good decade ago now and I wanted to bring them back and have them get to see the area and everything with fresh eyes. I only ended up having one of my sons this day, but I asked some people I know in the area where I could grab a slice. They tell me Gigi's NY Style two towns over in Sea Bright is the place to grab a quick slice and avoid needing to get a table, do the whole seating thing, etc. All I wanted to do was get a bite in our stomachs and be on our way. I'm happy we did. Let me start off with the single handed only negative I can say...the cost. The slices were of average size and 2 slices and 2 drinks (albeit one slice was a specialty slice) was nearly $15. For me that's a bit much, but with them being directly on the water and in a hip little bustling area, I didn't really pay that much mind. My son (so adventurous) wanted to grab a regular slice and I saw a slice there called "Grandma'" and decided that was the one for me. The Grandma's slice looked like basically a half size Sicilian slice with sauce and basil pesto in lines over top. It was half the thickness of a Sicilian so it was kind of cool to get the same mouthfeel and some heft like a Sicilian, but also to still have a crispy crust and dough. The cheese, sauce, pesto, crust...it was all good. I really enjoyed this Grandma slice a lot. I'd go back solely for that slice. It was a bit high in price, but it was really good. The plain slice had fantastic flavor as well. Really good sauce and they use a quality cheese for sure. I liked the snap in the crust, but the rest of the pizza as a whole could have been cooked a bit more. That's a preference thing so I can't knock them, but I like a pie that stands up on it's own...this was definitely a bit undercooked for my own taste. The staff here was also very friendly. I spoke with a woman who greeted me immediately for a few minutes and the younger staff behind the counter were all half watching football and half working, but not in a lazy teen kind of way. They were all passionate about the games, I enjoyed that. The Jets and Giants also both won so we'll take that and run. All in all I was very happy with our quick stop in at Gigi's and I'd definitely go back. I called in an order for a Sunshine panini with no onions (it's even on the receipt); it was absolutely loaded with onions and I do mean loaded. I also ordered a Sonny burger. The menu clearly stated the sauce was on the side...no, no it was not; it was slathered on the burger and I did not like the sauce. If the menu had not "clearly stated that the sauce was on the side" I would have requested it be on the side since I had never had it before. I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I said rare and got well done instead (also stated on the receipt). Gigi's location in Sea Bright is a very convenient location for me, larger than the location in Oceanport and they offer outside seating. Plenty of parking and the folks who work there are very nice. Similar menu at both locations but the location in Seabright has brought in Sonny's sandwiches which I have yet to have. I just want to say OK, it's pretty good but I can't say I've ever thought, damn that was amazing. The pizza is good, I've tried a few different things, the grandma slice, buffalo and their "famous pepperoni". I will say the roni is probably the best of the bunch with a cool everything bagel style crust and plenty of the curled roni. The buffalo is ok and the grandma was good. The slices are very small and just too overpriced. Living down the road we are in Sea Bright all the time and all year, no pizza place around are you gonna pay over $9 for two small slices. Each time I've left hungry. Maybe their regular pie is good, and I'm sure I will try it at one point. But overall, everything is just ok. Each time I've been there too the service is not good, each time there is a person at the counter who takes the order and is just rude, busy, not busy, it just turns me off from wanting to come here when there's a ton of other options. Beamer, Benz, Bentley parked outside and you know you're in Sea Bright. After a long day at the beach we decided to grab a pie at GiGi's. Plenty of kitchen help and friendly service made a good first impression. We decided on the Grandma Pie ($21) and two plain slices for George ($2 a pop). The grandma pie was very good. The sauce and basil pesto really made the difference in taste. The crust was a little thicker than we like for a grandma pie but we would get it again, no doubt. During this God awful pandemic, we've resigned ourselves to take out/casual food, as it's still going to be a while before we sit down anywhere for a meal indoors. That being said, I will often stop into Gigi's after a morning at the Hook, walking or birding. In a county full of excellent pizzarias, it can be argued that tiny ol Sea Bright has two of the best pizza joints in the county. Gigi's is amazing. While a few years back, Pete Genovese waxed glowingly as to their pepi-roni pie, I've yet to try a slice as I'm not a big lover of it (maybe another day). As for their other offerings? Money Pie (resh mozz, caramelized onion, fresh fig, goat cheese, arugula ) is off the charts delicious. Same for their similarly put together 'Action Pie' Want the more traditional?? Equally amazing, be it their Grandma's, their Staten Island, their Brooklyn. Their 'thin Sicilians' are GREAT. Other than a skillset of having made pie for a long time, what sets them apart? Their sauce be it San Marzano sourced, or their regular pizza sauce are well made (not overly salted), their crusts are so beautifully crispified (to the point of being orgasmic), with quality cheese. Other than Rosie's in Point, Gigi's neighbor (Sea Bright Pizza), these are the new Kings of Pizza in Monmouth. Still like Vic's, Squan, Nunzio's (LB). But Gigi's just about sits atop the mountain. Originally stopped in for pizza but came across the $16.95 Lobster roll which includes French fries, cole slaw, and a side of pickles -- Had to try it and definitely don't regret it.
