I highly recommend Victoria Place Dental! Everyone working there is as nice as could be, and very good at communication. The front desk ladies are a pleasure to speak with and very helpful, patiently & thoughly answering all my questions. Those working on my teeth really put me at ease. I had to make separate appointments for my check-up and my cleaning, but I got the most thorough teeth cleaning ever. Every last bit of gunk was removed during a full 1-hr session and afterwards my teeth were transformed from slightly yellow to glistening white! Does not know how to listen to patient and is not open to going back and re checking his work. He just says, "it's perfect". After sometime of much pain, time, and many opinions pointing to the dental work I just had at Victoria Place, it became obvious that a step was missed during a filling appointment ( this step caused me a year of pain , money and hospital experience. ) After he adjusted his error he did not note my chart that it happened. & came back in four months with minor similar pain, hoping to get his support and apologies, and willingness to check his work based on knowing he previously messed up. He then denied wanting to hear more feedback about where work was forgot, that pain he caused, and where his work still needing some adjusting so that my jaw would return to normal, he terminated me with a letter during a scheduled appointment in which he did not perform any work or checking of work. So far so good. I had been looking for a local dentist for years, and after being on the waitlist for almost a year- they called! They have performed a deep cleaning and filled a cavity. I was very nervous, but the dentist and the hygienist are both very nice and considerate. They checked in throughout the procedure to make sure I wasn't in any pain. I had been insecure about my smile ever since I could remember, and Dr.Awwad and his team have brought me a new boost of confidence! I was so happy when I saw my teeth I nearly shed a tear. His work is always done quick, with all my dental work done I have never spent over an hour there during a visit, even including my operation on my teeth. I recommend him for getting veneers if you are interested, I don't have cosmetic dental insurance and so this was definitely a lump sum out of my pocket but he made it all worth it in the end. read more

First of all Alish who works the front desk is excellent. Professional, efficient, friendly, and gets things done! She will work with you and your insurance to get it all worked out. PROS: The staff here are very nice and efficient. They are very understanding of people who have a fear of needles. Dr. Awwad is friendly, polite, and caring toward his patients! He checks in with you throughout the procedure to makes sure you're doing okay. While you get your teeth cleaning, they have a nice selection of music that they play. I choose jazz and it was very relaxing. The dental hygienist is excellent and discusses your teeth cleaning options with you. CONS: Getting an appointment can take weeks... sometimes months (dental cleaning). Plan ahead and don't cancel appointments. It's really not that big of a con, I mention it so that if you're a new patient like I was and need a lot of work up front then you can plan accordingly. Updated June 17th, 2014 Dr. Awwad and Team sent me a nice letter regarding my previous 4 star review. Previously the office condition was somewhat poor. They had carpet in the procedure rooms and it was stained and looked dirty. As of June 4th, they replaced the carpet in the lobby and put tile in the procedure rooms. I appreciate them for taking my opinion into consideration and for sending me a letter to let me know the affect my review had on their patient care. I'm now giving them 5 stars. read more

After not really going to the dentist as a child then moving to Humboldt as an adult, I struggled to find a good dentist and get over my fear. I had a couple bad experiences as well as one other dentist I saw in Eureka that I absolutely did not trust or feel comfortable with. Dr. Awwad is wonderful and kind and so are his staff. I needed a series of fillings and they were all done quick and painlessly. From my past experiences I was very uncomfortable during my first filling visit and visibly nervous and upset but they did not make me feel bad about it and eased my fears! Each time following I got a little more comfortable and by the end I had no anxiety going in at all. I look forward to taking better care of the teeth now with Dr. Awwad's help. read more

Dr. Awwad is the best dentist I've ever been to. Head and shoulders above anyone else I've tried. They are efficient and as close to painless as you can get. I just had a two surface filling done and i spent about 10 minutes in the chair. Amazing front office staff Are always super helpful as well. I have worked as an RDA for over 10 years and I was very impressed with Dr Awwad and his staff. The front office staff is very kind and always able to work with me on scheduling my Apts. Dr Awwad is by far the best dentist I have every seen. He's very gentle and always quick and efficient. He always makes sure to take great care in his work, he always listens to my concerns and answers any questions I have about my teeth. I recently brought my son in and he was great with him. You want your child to be comfortable with his dentist and not be afraid. Dr Awwad made sure to make him feel like his exam was fun and explained everything he was doing and was extremely patient and answered all my son's questions.
