The food is not good at all. You can tell the refried beans are canned beans and the rice was hard. My husband asked for eggs hard scrambled and they came out runny. I didn't get any tortillas with my plate so I asked the waitress if tortillas came with the plate and she nodded yes and brought me two of them, then when we left, I noticed she charged me $2.99 for them. She should have told me when I asked and I would not have ordered them. That is bad business practice. We also got charged for the credit card fee and were not told before we paid because then we would have paid cash. But overall, the food is not good and we will not be going back. read more

My wife and I went thos morning to Victoria's Cafe to have a good breakfast. The ambience was really nice and inviting. Our server was very nice and took the time to answer our questions. Stopped here on our way to Houston. If you are missing your homemade Mexican food, this is the place to go. They have breakfast all day which is a plus. The service is good. All servers are using their mask give another plus for that ! Also they are maintaining social distancing with other people/ tables. We were a party of 5 and the food was prepared within an appropriate time (10-15 min give or take) flavor is good and the salsa !!! OMG not sure which one it was but it was SPICY!!! But good. What an unassuming little cafe with large flavors. We ordered: chilaquiles, cabeza, and huevos la mexicana. Every plate was delicious and impressed by the handmade tortilla. The price point was more than fair for the quality of their food. Quantity doesn't always mean quantity; the servings of each portion is perfect here. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and a good morning. You can't beat good service and it's even better when the food tastes good. We are not from the area but our dad lives here. This was a nice Tex-Mex gem we stopped at on our way back from Corpus. We had queso at the beginning of the meal with chips. I liked the hot sauce. Don't miss out on the green sauce found in a squeeze bottle..it really adds to the flavor. I had #11 combo meal and hubby had mixed fajitas. I had the Chilli Releno!!! Freaking awesome truly authentic taste. Highly recommended!!! They got breakfast as well and have daily specials!!! Clean place and nothing out of the ordinary. With that being said I gave it the 3 stars is rightly deserves. The prices are on the high side for texmex. First of all, this cafe is mexican food. Upon walking in, I observed that the dining area was very clean and HUGE! 13 booths, 3 tables for 8, 13 tables for 4, and 3 tables for 6. I ordered a beef taco salad. It came inside of a fried flour tortilla. Inside was lean not greasy ground beef, refried beans, rice, tomato cheese sour cream, guacamole and lettuce. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. The guac though small was excellent. The rice not overly dry. I did not try the chips and salsa. This is one of our favorite breakfast restaurants! They serve breakfast all day, and the menu is extensive. An American breakfast is as tasty and well-prepared as a Mexican breakfast. I love the Heuvos Rancheros with homemade tortillas, and it's hard for me to order anything else, although there are several other good possibilities. My husband loves the egg plate with grilled biscuits. They even give him honey to go on them. It's one of our go-to Mexican restaurants. read more
