Service was fine. I ordered 2 blue crab expecting to get 2 whole crabs. I did not. It was just sections of crab. It did not say that on the menu. They charged the same for a partial crab as other places charge for a whole crab We had to request bibs. Request butter. I didn't care for ambiance at all. The place was clean, orderly, warm and friendly at 7:30pm when we arrived. But by the time our food reached our table, the staff began mopping the floors with lysol and stunk up the whole place. You could not taste the food because of the strong lysol smell. Ruined the meal. The staff is clearly told to be ready to leave at closing, because they kept at it even though customers called them out on it. Poor magement at best, Uncaring workers at worst. For the price you should expect excellent food and service. They close at 9 but anytime after 7 you are on your own! read more

This place is a hidden gem! It doesn't like much on the outside of its strip mall location, but inside it's beautiful! The food is excellent! You can order local seafood brought in at Seadrift or venture out a little if you like. Of course all of the boils are totally customizable so go for that, but don't leave out the fresh oysters. The fried oysters are the best ever. To top it off you must ask for the Franny sauce! The friendly people and laid back vibe are the key ingredients to make this place perfect! read more

There are not too many choices when you want to have lunch on Sunday in Victoria so we were kind of stuck between few places that open on Sundays this being one of them. We've been here few times and every time we got mixed feelings. On one hand the place is nice and clean on the other hand most of the food is mediocre at best and their service really sucks. We came in today as usual with our kids and ordered their Sunday special Pho and some corn. Pho was spicier than usual and the corn was really chewy. So the kids couldn't eat anything and they usually like Pho and corn very much. When one of their servers asked me about the food I told her that the Pho was too spicy and the corn was really chewy. Then she asked if she can do anything for us so I asked if she can bring us a small bowl with just a broth and the noodles so our kids can at least eat something but, after she passed my request to her manager, the manager told me that all they can do is sell me a whole new order of Pho. Update. After publishing my review I received multiple messages from the business owner who seem very hurt by my personal honest opinion. I understand that it is hard to get negative feedback and everyone makes mistakes but not everyone can take criticism for their actions. It is easy to shift blame and it is most natural instinct. Hands down, Victoria's Gem if you didnt know. Best Seafood Restaurants in Victoria. I'm very hypercritical New Orleans girl when it comes to my seafood. The Boiled seafood had alot of favorite and spice. The Softshell crab bites was amazing. The Limeaid drink was so freshly squeeze like. The restaurant it self was very clean. They make you go directly to the sink to wash your hands before ordering at the counter. The seating was widely spaced out and the staff are all wearing mask. Not to mention the staff are very friendly and has patience to take time to go over the menu. They also are very attentive throughout your stay. One employee that stands out is Victor, very very nice gentleman and took care of our table from cashier to serving us. You will wan to go back. I wish they were open 7 days a week. read more

Husband and I went out for our anniversary wanted to try this place cause we love boils. Started off fine thought It was weird that they asked us to take a picture of the menu to decide what we were going to order and we ordered 2 beers at the counter. Went to sit down. We then flag down a server to place our orders and had to remind them of our beers that we had ordered at the counter about 10 minutes prior. This is when the wait began about an hour after ordering I asked one of the ladies behind the counter about our order. She proceeded to the back then came out and told us "our Internet has been broken and your order didn't go through" at which point we were going to leave but decided to stay because it was only gonna be about 10 to 15 minutes to get our food. Food was good. Service following that nobody ever checked in on us. Nobody was apologetic everybody just very standoffish. The conversations being had by the weight staff were extremely inappropriate for a family environment I'm glad it was just me and my husband because my son did not need to be subject to the aggressive cuss words that were being said between coworkers. Upon leaving we had to ask how the check was going to be handled and the response we got is your card will be processed in the morning. If I was the owner of this establishment I would be embarrassed of how my employees were representing my restaurant and my business. read more

The servers and cashier were so friendly! Great open place with a selection of beers and drinks. I opted for the shrimp Cajun boil medium heat. The Cajun seasoning was not very tasty, moreso just one note of paprika. But the shrimp itself were delicious. I got one pound and it was definitely plenty! I love that the shrimp come de-veined but still have the shell on to soak up the flavors. I will be back to try and different flavor, like the garlic butter or lemon pepper. read more

For Victoria, this place is pretty good. The atmosphere inside is really nice. Surprisingly nice! I like the boil. Total flavor bomb. Medium is pretty hot! Its all drizzled in chili oil so it has way more flavor that other boils I have eaten. Order more corn. Skip the sausage. The shrimp nachos were disappointing but not terrible. kinda like a salad really. I only found one piece of a shrimp so it was more "shrimp inspired" Good flavor tho. The bucket of beer is a must! We stopped by while visiting friends in Victoria and I was craving some fresh seafood and Dockside delivered! We had the stone crab claws (my absolute fave) and the fried soft shell crab basket. We ate here yesterday and the shrimp, potatoes and corn was under cook. My bill was 100 bucks so I didn't want to make them feel bad so I sat there and watched my family eat. I went hone and recooked my meal. My family also didn't like the potatoes because they where really hard. The shrimp was not cook well they where tough. Easily the best snow crab I've ever had. Easy to peel, flavorful, and worth every cent. I chose the garlic butter seasoning with medium spice and it was perfect. The calamari was delicious and you've GOT to try the crab egg rolls. I came here a while back and had the pho, which was also great. Everything I've had here has been extremely good.
