Tiny place in a tiny strip mall, in front of a larger strip mall - getting in and out is most awkard, but then again I don't think I'll be facing that again. Ordered the Lunch Special of 2 slices of pizza ($4.55 with some add'l toppings) and the Small Stromboli ($5.95). Both came to the table with the bottom of the crust burnt - not just overcooked, burnt! Neither would have been more than ordinary even had the crust been right. The tomato sauce was bland on the pizza, and the cheese was not much better. The stromboli filling was mostly cheese - very little meat. Wont be back, for sure. read more

It's the day after the July 4th weekend (when most restauranteurs take their own annual & well-deserved holiday from serving others). Although we had plenty of leftovers, one of us wanted "baked ziti with meat sauce" from a "real Italian restaurant". After searching online, I found a forgotten favorite was open - Victoria's. A friendly voice answered when I telephoned at around 11:45 am. She had to ask someone if they had this item (it was on the website, but I'm glad she checked). She let me know that it would cost "a little more" but didn't state a price. Figuring it couldn't be much more than the website list price for a lunch portion (about $6.95), I confirmed the order and added on a small cheese pizza. The friendly voice told me it would be about 20 minutes, but gave no price before clicking off. That's okay, I'm calling at the beginning of lunch rush - and according to the website prices - the twenty in my pocket should cover it. After maneuvering into the awkward parking lot & putting on a mask, I entered the active little eatery. The friendly voice from the phone greeted me & I could tell she was new to the job & trying her very best. The cook/chef/(owner?) was busy filling orders, but gave patient verbal directions to the young lady so that she could cash me out. I was a bit shocked at the $26 tab, but with the pandemic & all, I paid without complaint or question. (Even though I was thinking, "Wow! I was really off on that guesstimating price. My fault for not getting the price while on the phone.") The food was not ready yet, which was fine, so I sat on the "waiting bench" for about five minutes. I was able to study the place and was amazed at how clean & neat it is. Small, but very efficient. I enjoyed sitting next to the portable air conditioner. It was a pleasant temperature & sound. I could hear the chef/cook/(owner?) continue training his newbie & watch as she put the salad together for my order. The small tables of diners were obviously enjoying themselves. Lots of good vibes we're taking place here, so when my order was ready, I was feeling very happy. The pizza: The pizza was fresh and baked perfectly (not burned/not raw). I don't like sugary bread, so this thin crust was a relief. A bit salty, but thankfully not sweet. I would have loved more sauce on the pizza, but that may be a request for a future pie. When the pizza was re-heated the next day, the crust was not at all soggy. I added some home-grown diced tomatoes and whole mozzarella for the re-heat & it was even better. The baked ziti: My family member - the baked ziti aficionado - reports that it did not have enough meat sauce. And that the sauce itself had very little meat. The eater's opinion was that this made the ziti noodles very dry & "tasteless". The simple recommendation here is to adjust the ratio of meat, sauce, and noodles on this dish for a better experience. The garlic bread: Again - according to my family member - perfect. She added melted butter to those rolls and 'went to town' on them the next day. The side salad: We liked the way the cucumber, tomatoes & olives were separated in clumps on the lettuce (so that we could easily pick out the olives no one wanted). This family member just doesn't like olives. Not the fault of Victoria's. For me, I'll be ordering another cheese pizza from Victoria's - but will be sure to ask that they add extra sauce on the pie! My husband and I just moved to the area from Durham. We had a pizza place we really enjoyed there and were in search for a local place to eat. The wait was 40 minutes, but in all fairness, it was Friday evening around 6pm so not unreasonable. We got the pizza to go which we usually don't, but we found it to be very tasty. If I could give them 0 stars I would Victoria Is not an authentic Italian pizza restaurant they are ran by Hispanic, I ordered a large pizza and Sicilian slices and when I went to pick up my order I got a cold cheese pizza that look like it was out on Display all day and no one had came In and ordered any regular slices so instead of making me a fresh pizza they gave me the one that had been sitting out for hours. I go to look in the 2nd box for my Sicilian slices and there's 3 pepperoni slices, I tell the guy hey I ordered 3 pepperoni Sicilian he goes "we don't make those" mind you the girl who took my order over the phone is standing there like she knew she messed up I tell him well the lady who took my order said you did he says with a attitude well I already said we don't" as if I was supposed to know that. I look at these 3 pepperoni slices and they look days old like they been sitting out all day and night smh I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy read more

Easily the best pizza delivery place in Burlington if you're looking for authentic New York Style pizza. It's a shame they don't get more business because they are unable to stay open late or at all on Sundays. That's the reason I'm giving it a four instead of a five star review. The pizza is always delivered hot and delicious and the delivery men are friendly and will recognize you if you become a regular like me. The calamari and garlic bread are also great choices. I really hope these guys are able to stay in business! read more

I've been back twice since the first review for two more lunches (...have never eaten dinner here). I'm sticking with the 4 stars due to the strength of the subs. Since my first visit with the meatball sub, I've had the 2 slice pizza special ($3.5) and the small (8") Victoria's Way sub ($6.25). The sub consists of ham, salami, pepperoni and mozz with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo served on their delicious, warm sub rolls and comes with a bag of Utz chips. It was excellent! I would order it again any day. As far as the pizza slices go, I can really only recommend the price point. I didn't think the flavor was all that great, especially compared to the subs. But, for three and half bucks, it passes as a quick, cheap lunch. However, drop a few bucks more for the subs :) read more

I wish this one star was about the food, but I didn't get the experience because an unpleasant exchange with the owner led to him telling me "you people are uneducated". This will be a long one. So tonight, 5/15/20 I called this place for dinner and was excited as I love to find local food spots. For context, I just moved to Burlington 2 months ago. I arrive to pay for my food and one patron was at the counter, so I proceeded to the bathroom area as I had to relieve myself. I attempted to open the men's and it was locked. I then knocked on the women's door and proceeded to enter once I heard no response. I locked the door behind me as it is one single toilet inside in case any women attempted to get in while I was in there for 2 minutes. I came out to pay for my food and was welcomed back to the counter to the owner screaming at me for going in the women's bathroom and saying the men's bathroom bathroom is out of order. There was no sign, but that wouldn't have changed my actions in all honesty. Myself, as a hospitality enthusiast understands the importance of such minute details in these situations. He proceeded to say that the dining room is closed anyway (COVID) and that I shouldn't have used the bathroom. I asked "What's the problem? I'm a paying customer. I knocked on the door to make sure no one was in there and locked it make sure no women could walk in". He continued to say repeatedly it's because it's the women's bathroom, and the men's room is out of order (not my problem) and said I should've come up there to ask him to use it. Huh? So I literally asked him, "So you wanted me to pee myself?" and "Were you gonna tell me no?". Both questions he responded no to. So your point is what?! There are any number of reasons medical or not to explain why I needed to get to a bathroom as urgently as possible, but truthfully I just had to pee badly. Above all else, in the middle of a pandemic the more people going to the bathroom and presumably washing their hands afterwards before exchanging money and food hand to hand the better, but what do I know? His argument was that it was a women's room period. I had already decided I wasn't spending my money as soon as the conversation started in that manner, but I really wanted to know the issue. I left after proving to him in multiple facets that other than the sign saying it was a "women's bathroom" there was no reason for his behavior or standpoint and I left. He yelled as I walked out after telling him I wasn't spending my money there, "Good, I hope to never see you again", as if I did him a disservice attempting to spend my money there. I left offended and disrespected and had to let him know how I felt on many levels. Now, I already had in my mind "that was just some racist sh*t", but immediately ignored that thought as that is my nature. We're all aware Melanated people have been and continue to be oppressed and treated like sh*t, but the sad reality is I've learned to roll with the punches and strive through it all and not make that a crutch not to obtain success. I decided to call back, and respectfully told him how offended I was and that I just moved here and was looking forward to finding my go to local pizza spot and started with his restaurant. I then told him that he should be humbled that he's blessed to be able to operate during a PANDEMIC and even more so that people are even spending their money there during these times. He didn't care. I also gave him another chance to explain what was wrong with me using the bathroom especially with the precautions I took. He continued his same rhetoric, but added "YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST UNEDUCATED". I then asked "what do you mean, black people are uneducated?" He profusely said "no" and that I had it wrong, but you know EXACTLY what you said and EXACTLY what you meant. I'd love to hear a response to it, and I'm not here to call you racist, but you said it not me. ‍ I am the one that just spent an hour on a Friday night during a quarantine writing this review HUNGRY and still in need of food. I just had to share because not only does this guy not know anything about hospitality, he also does not care that people continue to support him during the pandemic where every dollar matters more than ever. read more

Victoria's Pizza in Burlington, North Carolina came very highly recommended by the lady working the front desk at my hotel, and a sign outside the restaurant stakes a claim as "Best in Town." Perhaps that set my expectations too high, or perhaps they focus too much on barbecue in those parts. Whatever it was, I wasn't incredibly impressed and found the pizza at Victoria's to be just slightly above average. My first impression was somewhat negative because what they advertise as dine in is really just a few tables lining the wall. This not meant to be a scathing review as the staff was friendly, and the pizza was definitely good enough for me to not think twice about finishing my entire 10-inch personal pepperoni. Again, I just don't think it was quite was I was expecting. My favorite part of the pizza was probably the crust that was decently well done, yet still soft, and it also had some cornmeal on the bottom if you like that. In addition, the pepperoni and cheese produced a nice amount of tasty grease. Having not tried anywhere else in Burlington, I will have to take their word for the best pizza in town, and they also offer appetizers, salad, soups, pasta, steak, seafood, sandwiches, Stromboli, and calzones. read more

This place is a ripoff the portions of food is a joke. The food taste like crap the bread that came out with our food was burnt and so gross my dogs wouldn't even eat it . Do not order the baked ziti it's nasty and made with penne noodles instead of ziti noodles and for the price not worth the amount of food you are giving. The pizza was halfway decent. If the only thing that decent is the pizza I would recommend no one eats at this place . I would not even give this place 1 star but people need to see that this stinks and is the worst place I think I have every gone too read more

Pretty solid pizza joint, especially considering that they're one of only two pizza delivery places in the area that I'm familiar with (not including chains). Given that the other, a place called Mimi's, brought me a giant mushy pile of wet dough with Walmart-esque cheese, I'm grateful that I found this spot. At peak business hours, 7ish on a Saturday, they still managed to bring me a hot pie in about 45 minutes. This place definitely takes the place for my number one pizza delivery choice in town, but not quite good enough for number one overall in town.
