I wanted to check out an Italian restaurant as I didn't feel like cooking and had a taste for some good ol' pasta. I hopped on Yelp to read some reviews and out of the 3 I read Ferrara Pizza and Pasta outshined the others. I ordered dinner for my boyfriend and I to go. My boyfriend wanted the Penne Carbonara and I ordered the Pasta Trio, which comes with a huge stuffed shell, Manicotti and lasagna which I asked for White sauce instead of the marinara both out our meal included a side salad and seasoned garlic rolls. The prices here are extremely excellent and the portions are gigantic I was able to make 2 separate meal with my food and my boyfriend demolished his meal on one sitting lol. Their food is amazing delicious and seasoned well. Everything is made fresh to order which I love. When I come back here I will have to order more of the menu options. The customer service is top notch and the staff is very helpful and very pleasant. Next time I come I will dine in. The restaurant is super clean and organized as well. There is plenty of seating for groups or couple and families. You have got to check them out they definitely do not miss the make. I rate them 4.7 stars. read more

The food was delicious. The plate portions were very good. Pasta was the menu and both the penne with the fettuccine broccoli chicken were extremely flavorful. The service was courteous and speedy. The server was responsible at taking ownership of a pizza delay and took care of it! It was a memorable experience with my daughter. There was plenty of parking too. read more

It's not much to look at from the outside. A strip mall in a semi-residential area, away from the craziness of the main fast food frenzy area near the interstate. When you walk in, there's a bar area to your right, walled off with a 4' wall, and the general seating area to the left similarly partitioned. I went to meet a friend for a late lunch, but they never showed, so we couldn't sample more of the menu. The only waitstaffer greeted me and guided me to a seat with setups for two - nice heavyweight utensils in a wax paper envelope. I nursed a glass of water for thirty minutes while listening to a pop music playlist. (I was surprised at this choice, but I don't know that Neapolitan music would fit with this region!) I finally ordered the calamari appetizer - a plateful of fresh-fried rings and things served with a good portion of steaming hot chunky marinara sauce. The breading was light, and I couldn't get enough of the sauce!! It was amazing!! After another 45 minutes of considering the lunch specials, I decided to just get the tiramisu and call it a day. The dessert arrived nicely presented on a porcelain plate dusted with powered sugar. The lady fingers were soaked properly, and may have been house-made. I know the rest of it was. Amazing melding of flavors!! I'll even forgive them not dusting it with the traditional cocoa powder. I might stop back here just for dessert sometime! It's worth the trip. And, judging by the sauce, I'll bet the rest of the menu is just as fresh, well-seasoned, and tasty. read more

Once again, five wonderful stars for this fantastic pizzeria. It is my go to every time I return back from a trip. Whether they know you don't know you they're gonna be exceptionally welcoming, you're gonna get a friendly smile and good service. I do not recall Having any issues with my order, and I've been here probably 30 times at this point. The food is fantastic, everybody that's on point for making the pizza and the other items on the menu are from New York, so when they claim to be New York pizza, they're actually from New York. The quality is the prayer. I believe they even use local ingredients from local farmers/producers where they can. read more

Really great little place. Love the garlic rolls. So simple but so delicious. I've been twice and the pizza has been fantastic both times. This is the best pizza place I've ever been to. The service was exquisite the waitress came by multiple times to check up on us and she was super nice. The inside of this place was fantastic and colorful with signs and paintings every where giving the full Italian vibe. The pizza was deliciously cooked perfectly and not soaked in grease and was reasonably priced. The garlic rolls were perfectly seasoned and cooked nice and crispy. This place is the perfect example of not judging a book by it's cover. You see a place in a strip mall offering pizza and pasta, and in a place like Burlington, you make assumptions because you've been burned before. If you have spent time around the NE I-95 corridor, it changes your view and expectations for Italian food, and it's hard to find a place that delivers in the south. I happened to be in the area, and just really really had an urge for some garlic and marinara, this place has a great score, so I figured what the hell. You walk in, and immediately you're greeted by the sweet sounds of ltalian family members yelling at each other in the kitchen. A time honored tradition. The husband and wife running this place gave me all the good vibes before even sitting down to look at the menu. I took a risk, because i just had that inkling they could deliver. I ordered eggplant rollatini, something I don't usually do, because a properly made ricotta cheese is so hard to find, and it's very important to this dish. It's also important to properly cook the eggplant so it cuts easily but isn't mushy. Finally, you need a great red sauce to cap it off. Before I get to that, let's start with the garlic bread (knots). Y'all, I could spend a day just sitting in this place with a bucket of their marinara and a never-ending pile of these knots and be in heaven. This was, without doubt, the best garlic bread I have been given in years. It was warm, fluffy with a slight crust, garlicky and buttery to the max. Perfection. My meal came with a ceasar salad. Even that was above board. Crisp romaine, tasty croutons, shredded parm, but the dressing set it apart. It is either homemade or a blend, but they nailed it. It had bite. I mopped it up with garlic bread in delight. Then my eggplant came. Already thrilled with my meal, I was relieved to find creamy, not dense, ricotta cheese. Zesty marinara sauce, heavy on the tomato flavor. Eggplant that didn't fight you but held it's shape nicely, and was lightly breaded, not caked on there. Even for me, a big eater, I couldn't finish all three rollatini, but my wife was happy to finish the last one of with a garlic knot (because I love her), when I got home. We live in Greensboro, but I won't be able to keep her from this place, we'll make the drive and hope our 2nd visit is as good as my first. Prices, even at dinner, very reasonable. Spacious inside, and while it wont win any design awards, perfectly functional restaurant space. They have a private room that can hold 40-50 people if you need it. Bar with a great selection. Firstly: I see people saying their pizza isn't good and isn't NYC style, they're wrong. I'm from Jersey and would eat pizza in NYC. Don't get me wrong, this definitely isn't a pizza you'd get smack dead in the center of Manhattan BUT it is really good and flavorful I love their red pizza sauce Now, what I REALLY came to say... this penne alla vodka is AMAZINGGGGGG!!! I don't know why there's no pictures of it on Yelp/google, no mention of it, nothing. I was hesitant to order it because there's no mention of it so I was thinking hmmm maybe it's not that good. Then, my foodie sensing were tingling and I said you know what, let me just try it (bc everything else I've had here has been really good too). I ordered the Calamari app, Linguine with White Clam Sauce, and a small salad with housemade Thousand Island Dressing. While waiting for my food, they serve garlic bread - really nice. The salad came out quickly, and was fresh, and the dressing was very nice, plenty of flavor. The Clamari was excellent, perfectly battered and fried, and served with a nice, tangy maranari sauce - and the portion was well-sized. The Linguine was also excellent, with a handfull of whole clams in the shell, and a huge amount of chopped clams, as well. The white wine sauce was just right. We have been to Ferrara's Pizza multiple times in the last year. The quality and presentation of their food is always consistent and delicious. We like to sit at the bar. Music is always 90's top hits and occasionally the place breaks out into a random song! Order the Ferraras Special 16" thin crust and a bottle of Roscato. Get the fried zucchini, extra marinara. Huge pizza packed with fresh in house made ingredients, massive plate of zucchini fries, bottle of wine and a sweet tea will be around $58. Plenty of food for 2, even 3 unless you're a horse. Friday night pizza night, so we gave this place a try. Overall I would give it good marks. In our case though, we drove 20 minutes to get to it. I would say their quality is quit good, and service was excellent. My only nit is that it was 20 minutes away and not sure I would go that far to get to it. If I am in the area, absolutely. Pizza was fresh, liked the crust. We had the "special". Nice toppings. Son had a calzone he custom ordered the fillings. It was to his liking, and the dipping sauces was generous. I seriously would love to know what this area considers to be 'good' pizza, and then I would invite them to travel North to either Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore or NYC to see why they are wrong. So, very very wrong. Pizza is life to me. It has all of the best things in life; bread & cheese with a nice red sauce. Sometimes the 'za specialist will use oregano or other Italian spices making it a spicy 'za. This can be good or really really bad. Sometimes the sauce is the 'za makers mamma's secret family recipe that his family has had for generations since coming to these shores (those are the best). In this case....this was just inedible. Point of fact, I couldn't eat it, I tossed it. Why you may ask? I got an almost RAW pizza delivered. Yep. The dough was a trifle um....sticky I'll say (this is a family show after all) and the cheese was barely melted. It was seriously the single most disgusting thing trying to pass for a pizza I've ever seen......and I lived in the Midwest folks. (for those of you that don't get that....Midwest folks think ketchup on a cracker is good 'za oh, and they put cheddar cheese on them.....shudder) So here I am, on a Saturday afternoon, trying to put in some OT for work, and I think 'hmmmm a pizza would be nice'. Been there a few times over the summer and fall and everything we have had was good - pizza, pasta and wings. Service is great and the staff are very friendly. The wings surprised us and were really good. Nice and crisp, done right. Of course these folks are from NY so we would expect that they know how to make wings. Their spicy garlic wings are the best we ever had. Has chunks of real garlic in the sauce rather than powder, so you get a good garlic taste through the wing sauce. They were very stingy on the cheese, and the crust was burnt at the bottom as well as the garlic knots were burnt at the bottom & they use cheap slices of ham and their beef tasted very ODD. I went here yesterday because I was craving some Italian food. By far the worst Italian restaurant EVER. The main key ingredient in lasagna is the sauce and meat. It look like they took some sausage or meatballs and scatter it in there along with the ricotta cheese. The sauce tasted sour. The garlic bread was not fresh, I didn't smell nor taste the garlic. I have been to a lot of different Italian restaurants in my lifetime and by far the worst.
