Leilani, the manager, was fairly aggressive with me when I asked her why she closed the dressing rooms 30 minutes early after another employee had already told me it was okay to try on clothes. I wouldn't have wasted 30 minutes shopping had I known the fitting rooms were closing 30 minutes before the store itself. She was extremely aggressive with me and claimed to be the manager. I don't truly believe she gave me an honest answer. When I asked for her name, she originally said, "I'm not going to do that," which I don't think is appropriate for a manager. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I would definitely not suggest shopping there. It seemed like the entire team was a bunch of bougie women who treated bigger girls like we don't deserve to shop there. Their attitude was unmatchable. By far, this was the worst experience I've ever had with a manager, and I plan to call and complain tomorrow because that was one of the most toxic experiences I've ever had at a Victoria's Secret. that manager specifically who gave the name Leilani has extremely terrible energy and the way she greeted me as a client prior to the fitting room. Incident was extremely toxic really negative like I wasn't worthy to be there as a bigger girl and gave me a pretty disgusted look which made me feel terrible about myself. Definitely never shopping there again. Based off of this experience alone with that woman making me feel this way. This occurred on July 1 around 7:30 PM which again they don't close till late, so I'm not sure why they're closing their fitting rooms 30 minutes early when they clearly have enough people employed to cover them and again no one was notified that the dressing room rooms were closing, which would've led a lot of us to not continue our shopping as why would we be spending $75 on a bathing suit if we can't try it on . read more

This location has been going down hill for a long time. It used to be well put together and managed. Over the years the few times when I've stopped in it's gotten unorganized and dingey feeling and I walked out without buying what I needed because the line was so ridiculous. Today I am here and there are thirty people in line upstairs with two cashiers. There are about 6 workers on the floor downstairs just following people around. If I didn't need this bra right now, I'd walk out again. But I'm going on 10 minutes in line, and haven't even gotten to the main Que area. AVOID this location!! Update-- five people had left the line in the 15 minutes I was waiting. I left and asked if they were going to open up the downstairs registers. They said no, so I left. They lost at least six customers of business within 15-20 minutes. read more

Love a good sale! This store was crowded and the line was long. Walked around searching for a jacket that I had seen online. Unfortunately, the trendy bluish color I wanted was completely sold out. Instead, I found a pink and white striped pajama set and used my 30$ coupon. At the completion of my purchase I ended up receiving a 30% off coupon to use on a future date. Decided to head to my local VS today for a little retail therapy. It's a nice Saturday weather-wise, so the Mag Mile was hopping. Nice to see. VS was pretty busy when I got there. I actually slipped in without getting mobbed by their employees. I am not a fan when they approach me. Just let me look and I'll ask you, please. Love seeing the husbands/boyfriends there. Most are trailing their gal or leaning against walls waiting for the agony to end. I wanted to high-five them all for their patience and commitment to their gal's shopping happiness. After browsing, I approached a sales gal there and she was just so kind. Stopped to help me find what I was seeking. What I love about the VS concept is that they have different products in different materials. So, to me, they have a lot to offer. Basically something for everyone. I rarely have a problem finding an awesome product. And I find their clothing to always be quality. I was super-impressed with their sales staff on the floor. These ladies know their products, which is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. From foundations to sleepwear. I am happy to say I bought what I needed, but had to order it at the register as they didnt have the color I wanted. What I preferred was out of stock, so free shipping to my address. They didn't have any deals in-store but get the app and you could find a decent promotion for an online purchase. Luckily I found a wonderful promo online to purchase and got a decent savings for the extra items I bought using the app. Always a great shopping experience. read more

While VS is pricey their sales are excellent. This particular location has great customer service. The store is very clean. They really are being careful with covid and have it set up so they kind of check you in and have sanitizer right when you walk in and all employees were wearing masks. I went to this store yesterday to buy some leggings because I was wearing a dress and didn't realize how cool it was downtown. I ended up buying some black sweat pants however as soon as I walked in the store, the workers were following me around the entire store like I was a well known thief. There was a brown skin lady with dreads that followed me closely the whole time I shopped. She even followed me to the register and back downstairs to exit. The service was unprofessional and the workers were extremely rude. I just went to look around and they accused me of stealing even though I was just looking around. They called security on me which i find was completely uncalled for and rude and it was obvious they didn't check the cameras and just did that because of my appearance . She also was EXTREMELY patient with my online return and exchange which was way more of a hassle than it should have been thanks to corporate policies that allow you to return online-purchased bras in store but not to exchange them for your size even if online is out of stock of your size and the store has it. (I also had to purchase my online bras twice because they went on sale ONE DAY after I ordered them and VS refused to price match even though they hadn't even shipped yet and everything I ordered was still in stock.) So, in sum, VS corporate policies are TERRIBLE and items are overpriced if not on sale - 2 stars. If the lingerie didn't fit so perfectly I'd swear off forever. Nikesha, on the other hand deserves a million stars, and the other staff at this location is also FANTASTIC. read more

This was not the experience I was expecting as a first timer at Victoria Secert Chicago. I went in planning to make a purchase with my friend and after looking at some items it was implied by the store staff who have summoned security that I was shop lifting. I found this extremely embarassing that the employe called the security without proof or looking at the security camera. I also think it was disturbing since i was on a school trip away from home and expected my experience to be better, I don't understand why they thought i shoplifted. I would expect an apology from the employee and recommend not going to the location. read more

The absolute worst Victoria's Secret I have ever been to. First of all the store is an absolute mess. Things strewn everywhere and none of the employees seemed to want to tidy any of it up. The real issue started at the register as I was there for a return I had two products both with the tags still on (both accessories so unused not worn etc bc it's not clothing) they were sent to me as part of a Christmas gift and I just didn't like them. I didn't have a receipt because they were a gift. The girl at the register was telling me I could not return them. She told me more than once I can't do it without a receipt. And I asked even for store credit to which she told me no twice. I have never dealt with this policy at VS or anywhere. The guy at the next register finally stepped in to let me know I could do an in store exchange. The only issue was they refused to honor the price that the person who got me the gift paid so I should have had about $90 to exchange for an item or two I actually love and instead had about $47. This policy change that complete goes against any type of good customer service coupled with the absolute rudeness of the first cashier is just unacceptable. I actually worked at VS for a summer and this is certainly not the way our store ever looked or how we treated customers. Honestly you need to do better with your hiring process that girl has no business working a customer facing job. The other cashier was much nicer and you could see was under stress. The store seems overrun and understaffed if I return at all it definitely won't be to this location. My MIL just wasted $90 for me to end up with a few new pairs of underwear and a lip oil. Man, I was so surprised by something the girl at the register attempted to do that I just have to leave a review about it. Long story short I opened a CC, it's still being shipped, so I was using my ID just to credit my account & there's supposed to be a 20% off your first order. Mind you, my totals approaching almost a thousand... and this girl literally told me "oh yeah, the 20% will be reflected on your bank statement." Thankfully the manager was already next to us when I asked him if that was true. I can only imagine how many people actually believed her... He handled the situation perfectly, but I still have to go back because I asked her if the perfume I had grabbed was a specific one I was looking for. I didn't want to open the box. Took her word for it and boy was she wrong. Lessons have been learned. Careful when checking out, ask questions, all of these girls rarely know what they're talking about. read more

It's almost a Yelp A-OK , I've been to a few VS locations and this one is larger, however it reminded me of a larger version of their small stores, not many more products, just so much more of it. For me, I'll shop the basics at VS, bras and undies. Everything else just seems a little strange, I don't need items with PINK written on the arse or waist band, I also don't need a body suit that looks like a risque figure skating leotard. Needless to say I didn't find anything to purchase on either level out of two, just more as I said above. Staff is friendly, and really young which is to be expected, when I did ask a sales associate for what I was looking for, I received a blank stare and then she said, "what's that." I will admit to expecting a bigger selection and more knowledgeable people on the sales floor. After all I was under the impression that Michigan Ave. is supposed to be the flagship store. I recently came to this Victoria's Secret and everything has definitely gone down the drain. The management is not up to par and many women associates who have been with the company have left. I know Victoria's Secret is now more inclusive and has left Limited Brands but the management of the stores in Chicago has gone the drain. My favorite bra specialist isn't there anymore and since we have had a relationship for over 10+ years she told me that the last 4 years of in and out store management she finally decided this wasn't the brand to work for anymore. The WATERTOWER has since closed and old orchard and with poor management this store on Michigan Avenue is next. I visited last week and no one greeted me in Pink, the new bra specialist insisted that I had to get measured when I was just grabbing something for my vacation, the cashiers didn't know how to ring up my coupon and to top it all off they left a security tag on my items! Management was great about 5 years ago and when remembering their names, they have all moved on to different up coming companies. Please find out the problem with management and if it is just a downtown problem or a Chicago district problem. I miss the Victoria's Secret back in the day downtown Chicago where I felt welcomed and not like I was shopping at a discount store with horrible management. read more

Ok this was right before my La Perla spree but just forgot to review. Careful ladies because I was measured twice. I didn't really want to but they insisted. The first time was when I was looking at bra's, the other was when I was by the fitting area. Both gave me two different cup sizes. What the.. Anyhow, their bra's have served me well over the years, especially the pushups, i.e. the "sweet embrace." The "convertible" bra is really uncomfortable with the clear straps and if you use the other straps included, the straps don't always stay hooked. If anything, their panties and some of their Pink line are usually A OK to stop by for. VS's perfumes all smell the same to me. Like Stanky cheap strippers.. comes on too strong and musky. Same shit just in different bottles with different names. read more

This is definitely one of the worst VS experiences I have ever had (and I have had MANY). Why 1 star? The selection (and the fact that yelp does not allow 0 stars). Why the 4 star deficiency? The service was abominable! The selection was huge and I have to say for being in the midst of their infamous semi-annual sale items were pretty well organized. The only person I really encountered on the floor was in the "garden" section. Although nice, he was extremely pushy. He actually suggested scents for me and then physically put them in my shopping tote without my consent. Those came right out when I got into the dressing room. Who does that? Too pushy for me. The dressing room experience was a whole 'nether experience. A bad one might I add. I finally got a room after a 10 minute wait. When I rang my bell for assistance no one came. Finally I opened the door and proceeded to grab my next items. I flagged a girl who was walking quite quickly past me and asked her a question. She told me that it was not her "department". I asked her if I would be able to switch items out and she let out a big sigh and decided that she would assist me with that. Ohmigosh thank you soooo much for providing a smidge of customer service. Check out was terrible. No one was very friendly. One of my items did not have a tag so I grabbed one that did. The girl at the front refused to let me have the item with the tag intact. She literally forced me to take the tag less item. What if it was a gift? She did note on the receipt that it did not have a tag but that was not the point. While she was packing up I noticed a pair of undies with something attached to it. I asked the girl about it and she said "oh that is just a rubber band". She then proceeded to pack the item WITH the rubber band on it. Um ok. Yes, I guess VS doesn't pay you enough to remove rubber bands. That seemed to be a trend in this store. My garments were smooshed into a tiny bag (including a bathrobe) and I was sent on my merry way. Let me tell you that I was far more merry after I left. read more

I just HAVE to leave a review because of the outstanding experience I just had at this store. I'm a longtime VS Pink legging fan, and stock up every time I see the leggings on sale online. This most recent time, I purchased some solid black leggings in my usual size. After wearing them for less than a week, the seam completely split open while I was at work! (I should note I have NEVER had this happen before, it was a defective pair.) I went to VS on my lunch break, and showed them the damage. The store manager went above and beyond, and allowed me to exchange my torn leggings for a brand new pair right then and there. I was able to change in the store and head back to work feeling so much better! Thank you amazing VS team for going above and beyond to make me feel taken care of!! read more

I've liked Victorias' secrets since I was little. She always made me feel special to be a femme, and quite a fatale one at that. This location in particular strikes that mysterious, dark, deep chord in my very feminine soul. No really, the marketing team at victorias must be super smart. I'm not sure how they know exactly how to turn a giant room in to this awesome themed lingerie store that causes your money-spending fingers to twitch with their spending-urges. The whole body/makeup room is gorgeous. Every room is fun. When you leave with your booty in hand, the stuff you bought doesn't feel as glamorous as it did when in the store. Victoria's Secret on Michigan Avenue is huge which is great in terms of selections. What's not great are the workers downstairs. I went yesterday and was completely ignored by all of the workers. Three were chatting it up and ignoring me as I looked through drawers right next to them trying to find the bra I wanted in my style. It was only finally broken up by someone who must have been a boss as they acted as if they were caught & apologized to her. But still no one helped me at that point as they quickly dispersed. They have so many workers downstairs folding and walking around, but no one person greeted me, asked me if I needed help or anything at all. Even the dressing room workers set me up in a room but never followed up if I needed help and when I finished trying my bra on, they didn't ask how it went or say a word to me as I walked out. It was a very weird experience because other Victoria's Secrets I've been to have some of the most helpful workers! The workers at this location downstairs are just awful though. Upstairs in the Pink section is another story though. I encountered a few really helpful & friendly employees up there and it was like being in a completely different store! It's really clear that the crop of people they got for the holiday season are less than thrilled to be there. Every single person working there seemed miserable. I was never greeted when I walked in. The lady at the door looked right at me and just walked away. The employees were then complaining out loud about the fact that they were busy. UMMM sorry, but my being there is helping fund your paycheck. I would just avoid this location. It's clear that the management could care less about the level of service being provided there. If they cared they would train the staff. Side note: the employees in the fragrance department will place item in your bag (if you have one) even if you tell them no. I got to the counter to find that they added products that I didn't want. I know the goal is to sell, but doing that is just wrong. If I say no, then move along. read more

One of the best shopping experiences I've had in a long time! I walked into Victoria's Secret after having a terrible time finding a convertible bra for my one-shoulder wedding dress at all kinds of other stores. Expecting just as difficult a time, I was delighted to be greeted with someone who told me about their "concept dressing rooms." Escorted to the back of the store with a handy card containing my size and preferences, I was given a box of every convertible bra they offered - IN MY SIZE. I was able to try on options and pick the perfect one. Then, escorted to the front of the store where an associate picked out the correct color and size for me. No bending down to search through drawers myself. No obnoxious sales people knocking to find out if they can get me a different size. Just respectful, caring sales people who make purchasing a very personal item easy and fun. Phew! read more

My biggest beef is that you can never find a sales associate OR every sales associate in the store finds you and pesters you to death. I like the new concept in the dressing room of having a box with all the current styles in the store in your size for you to try. Brilliant. As long as the person fitting you has a clue what she's doing. Not a fan of the perfume pushers but I hate that in Macy's to. Ugh, makes my skin crawl thinking about it. Here's my biggest "input of value" the prices. What the hell happened to the prices? It was only 2 or 3 years ago I could go in, get a nice fru fru bra and pay about 28-38 bucks. Now almost all the good bra's are in the $50's and the matching panties are pushing $20 a pair. Is this economic because if it is I better stock up now before the damn things cost $100. read more
