Horrible Company. I sent in a watch for repair that iv had for over twenty years. Weeks later I receive a call stating it is "discounted" and not repairable. The customer service rep seemed a bit annoyed when I asked for clarification. To which she replied its not repairable and we can offer you a 30% discount on another victorinox item. That watch was a sentimental piece for me. I find it disappointing that a once great company utilizes a sneaky sales practice to entice a new purchase. I have seen other watch brands that have been heavily damaged by fire, accidents and plan neglect be repaired and made to look like new. Needless to say I will never purchase from YOU again! Whenever we go to CT, we have to check in here. We love Victorinox stuffs, mostly their luggage and bags. Very friendly service always. We even drop by their warehouse sale on Thanksgiving weekend. To whom it may concern, I just received back my 30 year old Victorinox knife from repairs. It was a very well used, pocket tool with a broken saw blade. The other blades were more than broken in, many miles on this knife. It is beautifully rebuilt. Their technicians did an absolutley terrific job, so good in fact that I almost don't want to use it but keep it as collector piece, buy a new one that I would not feel guilty about beating up. I have always been a huge fan of Victorinox because of there high quality products BUT I have to tell you I have never been so disappointed in the "Company Store" I drove almost an hour hoping to find a large warehouse type outlet and I was surprised to find a retail store the size of my family room connected their mega warehouse. The selections are very limited and the prices are retail! Come on man! I was happier when you had a retail store in the malls with more selection at Mall prices. I'm shocked that this company can't offer customers an outlet price store at the HQ especially when people go out of their way to visit. So sad....Poor leadership and marketing dept. I will just go to amazon from now on and buy the stuff cheaper and get next day delivery without driving an hour. read more

If you are reading this you may be considering coming to Victorinox but I should warn you, there are three types of reviews here: 1) People who bought something (mailorder, online) and have never been to this location but just want to complain about the company in general 2) People who come to the small factory store that operates here year-round 3) People who come to the annual factory clearance sale (usually in late fall) I have had all three types of interactions with this company but I feel it's only appropriate to discuss #2 and #3 here: #2: This is a small (one medium-sized room) factory store that is attached to a large warehouse/business office. I have been here maybe a half-dozen times and I've noticed that it is rare to get good deals here. You might figure that a factory outlet store would have scratch-n-dent or discontinued items but I have only rarely found that here. Usually, as another reviewer pointed out, the items in the store are just the regular full-retail-price items that Victorinox sells online or elsewhere. Still, if I'm in the area, I like to try to stop by and see if there are any sale/clearance items available. Also, while I'm here, I usually see one or two people bringing in a watch or knife for repair. So if you live locally, I guess that's an advantage of having Victorinox close by; you don't have to wait or ship your item for repair. #3: Once a year they have a huge factory sale. For this, you don't deal with the small on-site store (in fact I think they close it during this sale). Instead, they set up a dozen registers in the back of the warehouse. The sale is enormous and goes for several days (over the weekend). I have a hard time finding the dates announced online but if you call them, they'll tell you the next dates. I assume the dates are always late fall so as to capture Christmas/Holiday shoppers. If you come to the sale, be prepared to wait outside on a long line before getting into the sale. They put up some canopies outside to keep the weather off you, but the line extends way beyond the canopies. Once inside, it's pretty crowded (though they do try to keep the number of people inside to a certain limit) and you'll be elbow-to-elbow with other shoppers, looking at boxes of items with prices printed on the front of the box. Some prices are good - mostly the cheaper stuff imported from China. The watches were discounted, but I still didn't feel they were worth it. If you're a lover of Victorinox watches and you've been paying retail prices for them, then it may be worth it for you to check out this sale. The knives are discounted a good amount (pocket "Swiss Army" as well as kitchen and utility knives). They have a surprising amount of other items such as kitchen gadgets too. I noticed that they also sell coffee and donuts (it looks like a local bakery comes in and caters this) but it's only available at the end of your shopping experience, after you check out (I guess they don't want people spilling coffee all over their warehouse!) I don't really have any pro tips for the warehouse sale except to be prepared to wait on line, and do your research online ahead of time, so you know what you are looking for and what is a good deal vs. what's not. read more

You are never going to find someplace to shop with better prices then Victorinox. They're a great addition to the area and I would suggest checking out their products. The only reason I gave them a 3 and not a 4 is because it can get a bit chaotic here. Last time I was here, I left earlier then I'd have liked only because it was so crowded and a little disorganized. It is tough when very crowded to really just stroll about in a leisurely way. There are products all over and people all over and it can get very hot inside. Just my opinion and all but I like them when they are a bit quieter. That being said we have bought from here and Like I said, price wise they are great. They really are a great place to go for low cost stuff which we like very much. read more

My Swiss army knife blade had become dull and as the knife was a special gift from my wife long ago. I went to so-called profession for sharpening. Well both blades were ground so that just about half the material was removed ruining the knife! I sent the knife to the repair center and regardless of cost hoped to have the blades replaced. Well the repair center not only replaced the blades the scissor spring was replaced, tooth pick replaced, tweezer replaced, key loop replaced and scales were also replaced. The knife was cleaned oiled and send back for $5.00...... It was better than new. The customer service was above and beyond excellent. My heart was broken after the sharpening fiasco but after Victorinox repair center made my beloved knife new again I am beyond words grateful. Very disappointed in the Sale the last few years. They seem to not put everything out because the sale is 4 days. They put out some each day which isn't fair at all. I have attended these for at least 10 years but this year was my last. I do not like being lied to about running out of things. I'm done. Prices used to be much better as was the quality. Beware their online ordering and customer service, especially their Jackie Rodriguez. In order to have a swiss army knife delivered in a timely manner for a birthday gift, I ordered it online Monday well before cut off time, paid for overnight shipping, and expected it to arrive the next day. Overnight shipping request would signal urgency to a good company, right? I received an email from Ms. Rodriguez next morning asking me to reconfirm my shipping address since it was different than billing address. I confirmed via email first thing that morning, and again, asked her to ship it overnight as it was a birthday gift (they already delayed it one day). I get no response, no shipping confirmation, so the next day (they are 2 days behind now) I email AND try to get ahold of someone in customer service and only get answering machines during their normal business hours, and between email and message implore them to ship it overnight. No response. I got ahold of customer service finally on the third day (Thursday-too late for birthday gift), and asked to be transferred to this Ms. Rodriguez asking her what's happened to my order, and she said she needs to confirm my shipping address. I asked her why she didn't see my 2 emails and listen to my phone message, and she said she received none of those. Hmmm, what are the odds of that? I told her not to lie to me and she just kept talking through me asking me all the details I already put in my online order. That indicates complete laziness and lack of concern for the customer. I had to actually ask her to apologize as none was coming. It's ridiculous that it took such a great effort on my part just to get my correct online order to ship. This company needs to put much more effort into their support staff. read more
