Overall I was unhappy with Victor's Home Solution. The first inspector came out to give a repair estimate. I asked if insurance may pay for some of the repairs. I was told the roof was in too good condition for insurance to pay for anything. Next I was encouraged to add roof max to the repairs to lengthen the life of the roof for $5;000. Two weeks after the repair we had another leak under the repair area. A second inspector came out and couldn't find the source of the leak. Now we need a new roof, also our roof was not a good candi for roof max. To their credit they were willing to subtract the price of the repair from the cost of the roof replacement plus another 10 percent off. Their estimate was $51,000 subtracting the repairs and percent off final cost $31,000. With the help of our insurance provider We were able to second and third opinion,, both said insurance should pay for some or all of the roof. Their cost to replace the roof $22,000 And $22,500. After the insurance adjuster inspected the roof the entire cost of the roof was covered. Victor's cost me $15,000 for a repair that didn't work and a life extending roof treatment I didn't need. They may use superior products but it seems unrealistic that 2 other estimates were $22,000 for roof replacement and Victors was $51,000. read more

I had Nehemiah out to inspect my roof and provide me a quote. I pressed the understanding that I was not signing then and that I was in the quoting phase. He inspected my roof and attic, showed me a video he had made explaining things he saw, and he educated me in some things I did not know. He was friendly and straight forward. Although he did want to earn my business he was respectful of my decision to not sign at inspection/quoting. The quote was the second highest of 5 that I had received even after he reduced the price. I am still in the quoting phase so my mind is not made up yet. With that said I did like the looks of the product. read more

We had the roof estimate and arranged financing for that......they delivered the roof tiles one day and started the job the next day. We were quoted a price and it seemed doable so we signed papers. The workers didn't speak English but we found out one guy on top of the house did.....dumpster wasn't delivered until after the roof was torn off and ruined some of your bushes on the ground. Then we found out they added about 800 dollars to our bill. We didn't know about it until after the roof was finished. We also found numerous nails and stuff all around the side of the garage and our house. We were promised that would not happen. I had told the representative that came to our house to give us our quote that we know seniors often get taken and he promised that would never happen...He lied! Victors Home Solutions is a terrible company. Their salesperson, Hunter Davis, agreed to perform the work that we requested so we signed with them. He lied to us about the work that would be performed. Their crew arrived at our home and didn't have the supplies necessary to perform the work. They packed up their equipment and left. The following Monday a second crew arrived and still didn't have the supplies needed to complete the job. Their lying salesperson told us a covered facia would be installed as well as a soffit. He also told us all of the rotted wood would be replaced. When I asked their supervisor, Lucas Christenson, where the soffit was he told me they don't perform that service, another lie. I contacted Victors Home Solutions and was told they do offer this service as long as a roof replacement was ordered. They also blocked both of our entry doors with the 4x8 sheets of roofing panels. Also, they left gaps under the overhang where bugs and birds can enter the home. We rate them a 1. They're lucky we can't rate a minus rating. Do not hire this company. None of their workers could speak English so it was difficult to communicate with them. read more

A raccoon got on our roof and caused some significant damage. Victor's Roofing was the only company that would even agree to come out and look at the damage after several weeks of trying. The damage was in a small area but fairly extensive, including a part of the wooden structure under the valley of the roof. We got the quote from Victor's Roofing, and were shocked at the over $4,000 price tag to fix a small section of our roof. We understand that the damage was more than a simple shingle fix, but that still seems outrageous. However, due to us not having heard back from any other company and snowstorms on the way, we decided to bite the bullet and hire Victor's Roofing, despite our hesitance at the very high cost. The positive thing I have to say is that they did send out a crew pretty quickly and they did a good job of both fixing the roof and cleaning up afterwards. I do believe their work is solid. However, the work was done in less than 3 hours and we can't help but feel we have been totally ripped off. We have since heard from other people who have gotten full roofs done for less than what we paid for a small area. Additionally, when we got the initial quote and signed the contract, we gave them a $500 deposit. After the crew completed the job, we gave them the remainder of the payment. We were contacted by Victor's Roofing a couple days later, telling us we still owe them $500, which we had already paid. After e-mailing them that we had already paid and not hearing back, we finally called them and they said it was their mistake and finally sent a fully paid invoice. We found the situation to be pretty questionable and I would be hesitant to use them again or recommend them. read more

Storm/wind damage forced me to get a new roof and gutters earlier than I had planned. I found Victors Roofing using peer reviewed sites. All of which gave them high marks. From working with Greg in sales to my installation team of Curtis and Enrique I can see why so many people gave such good reviews. My experience from beginning to end was great! I was impressed with the communication from all team members throughout the process. I was most impressed that when they dropped off the dumpster the driver went to all of my neighbors to let them know they would be doing work and gave out ear plugs! They are professional, quick to respond, and do great work! I had them replace my roof after water started leaking through and ruining the ceiling paint. They were pretty quick about getting someone out there, however, it was slightly inconvenient to have everyone on the deed present since we really only need one person to make a decision. They were able to fit us in within a couple of weeks and actually showed up when they were supposed to! They also did such a great job with clean-up and follow-up! We had gutters and down spouts installed. I had done my research and put him to the test and the sales rep was personable and knowledgeable . As to the price of up graded materials and labor the initial quote came in and we did little haggling and I was pleased on our agreement. The girls who set up the job called the next day went over the contract and made sure we understood everything, ask if we had any questions and we agreed on a install date, April 26. The crew showed up, on time, and were friendly and courteous. They removed old gutters that were original to our home built back in 1979 ! They discovered some wood rot at the end of the porch and luckily my husband had a piece he could cut to fit and replace the rotten with and after hubby measured and cut the piece they nailed it in place happily! They finished the install in a timely manner and after clean up you would have never known they were there! Two days later and some heavy rain I notice a down spout on the upper level of our home was not connected. I texted Victor's ( the girls in the office ) and let them know there was a problem and sent photos. The next day a crew was out early morning and fixed the problem and did an inspection of the rest of the install. All was well. We are very pleased with Victor's Home Solutions! The whole experience was pleasant and in a few years we will need a roof and they will be back!! OH! I see not much has changed with Victors in 5 years. Like Anita L. below, I had a 1" hole in my roof from a tree limb impact. I asked the Victors rep if they could patch the roof. He said "yes.. but the color wont match". The roof was 16 years old, my furnace vent flashing was 40, so I agreed to an entire roof. They replaced the existing roof, closing the hole, but did not replace previous storm and ice shield. The existing furnace vent was spray painted to make it look new, not replaced. After one winter, the vent began leaking water in rains. Three times I had their representatives come out to resolve, and I got 3 excuses why the vent flashing was not done. (1) It is the discretion of the team leader (2) It is an upcharge item. (3) It is not their responsibility as exhaust fumes from the furnace could enter home. (Note - furnace fumes pass through a pipe within the flashing, not contacting the roof flashing). I engaged my city building inspector to argue my case. They gave the city the run-around also. I was promised a warranty would be mailed to me. Despite requesting, I have never received one. To fix the leak, I paid a 3rd party $300 to re-flash the vent on a Sunday. That work was well done. Bottom line - STAY AWAY from this company.. well versed in avoiding accountability from mistakes - little effort to resolve issues towards customer satisfaction. read more

UPDATE BELOW: 12/1/2018 - Did a good job and did it quickly in the snow. The reason for the two star review is that when we had the quote done, which included 3 skylights, no one mentioned to us that the skylight in our bathroom was approximately 6-8" shorter than the other two skylights in our house. We now have a skylight that is trimmed on only three sides and is laying directly on the roof decking and underlayment. You can see in the pictures. When we brought this to the company's attention they said that they do this all of the time and it's normal. To correct it we would have needed to have a custom window made. To me, the discussion should have taken placed when we were first quoted or before the project was finished and ultimately the decision should have been made by me, the homeowner. Communication is key to me and though the job is done it could have been done much better if someone would have said something about a mis-sized skylight. Disappointed as most of the reviewers raved of their customer service. Part of customer service is providing a clear understanding of the job and this was not done. 12/11/2018 update - After posting the above review I was contacted directly by Victor (thank you for calling) to explain that he would discuss with his project manager and quality control inspector on Monday, December 3rd. After that he explained that he would call me to determine a fix. He further explained that it looked like they, by mistake ordered three of the same sized skylights and that it should be as simple as ordering new skylight and installing it. He called me the following Monday and confirmed that they would order the new skylight and would install on Thursday. Due to weather conditions on Thursday and Friday the install was completed on Saturday. Victor then followed up with me on Monday to confirm the situation was resolved to my satisfaction which it was. Overall we are satisfied with the roof resolution. I am very disappointed by the work quality, the customer service as well as by the price of the project. Work quality: the foreman informed me after the fact that all plywoods on the flat roof are replaced. No pictures documenting the need for replacement were shown to me. I took a look at the ripped off woods, they looked fine to me. Moreover, the workers damaged the ceiling of the sun room with multiple strings of protruding staples. Value for money: the project was way overpriced. We paid more than $15/square foot. According to Angi's calculator the price range for our area in 2023 is between $4.5 and 11/square foot. The customer service was solely profit-oriented not customer-friendly. The crew did not come at the scheduled time window but nobody informed us. When we called, we were told that somehow our project "fall through the cracks". Then they came earlier than the rescheduled time, just total chaos with their communications. When mentioning their very high price as one of the reasons to wave the extra payment for the several plywood boards installment, a superior at the company told us:"Yes, we are expensive. I have waited some to ponder what I would actually say here. I got 4 overall quotes from 4 different companies. Victors came in the most expensive of all four and actually $4000 more than my lowest quote. But Victors was recommended to me by one of my most trusted friends who is in the building inspection business and says he has the least amount of issues with this company. So knowing this I pursued Further discussion with Victors Roofing. I love David Parvu the sales guy who first came out who was very thorough and sat with me the longest time discussing the roof and other things in life. He was a real joy to get to know. I took a few weeks to decide on which roofer to go with and had quite a few back-and-forths with David and he always responded promptly. One of the major selling point was the one year same as cash option which really was a dealmaker for me in my financial situation. We had water come in our house for the first time this summer so we had to do something. We chose the 25 year warranty 50 year shingles and made the job ago. None of the mistakes that were made along the way were all that grievous but added up made the entire job a smidge disappointing. The day that the dumpster was dropped off It was placed so close to my wife's compact car that I had to crawl in on the passenger side and squeeze over the man stick shift and parking brake. My wife and I were both here home at the time and nobody knocked on our door. We would have certainly move the car. In fact I was told that the trailer wouldn't show up till after 12 noon and I had intended to move the car by then but they drop the trailer off at about 9:45am The installation crew was supposed to arrive between 8 and 10 AM on Tues and I got a phone call voicemail that said they wouldn't arrive till about noon. At 1:30 I had to call Victors myself to find out why nobody was here. (Process problem here?) I was told that they weren't going to be able to start that day because a previous job the crew had worked on the day before took longer. I understand, things happen right ? Since they weren't going to be coming out and the forecast called for rain the next two days I sent a text and photo and asked if they could send somebody out to move a pallet of shingles that had been dropped in my drive effectively blocking the other side of the driveway entrance into my garage. The dumpster blocking one side of the drive and the pallet of shingles blocking the other. A service tech did come out and moved the pallet of shingles. I was now able to put my vehicle the garage for service that I had planned to do. The roof job was originally scheduled for Tuesday, it rained all day Wednesday and the crew did show up early on Thursday and did the entire job all day in a light drizzle. The crew chief was very easy to talk to and an affable nice guy. Nobody else said a word to me all day long. I had to run out later in the day and do some errands and when I got back I found the entire job completed the grounds and yard cleaned up very nicely and they were gone. I also found an invoice and discovered that the cost of the building permit had been added on the total cost of the job. I almost called Victors about this because on the other quotes that I received the building permit was part of the original quote price. My mistake here: Because of Covid I did a total clean out of my entire history of receipts and every piece of paperwork I've ever accumulated and came across the original quote from David and it did say the building permit was extra. My mistake. I'm going to up my rating to four stars Because this was my mistake. I was glad the job was done and looked great The next day the project supervisor came back and I saw his veh parked out front. I went out and we chatted a moment and He went around and checked the job and left. Two days later my wife (of all people) noticed a glaring mistake that was made right over our main entrance door between the house and the garage where the flashing and roof meet. I took pictures of it and sent it to the supervisor and to my sales guy David. To Victors credit it was repaired very nicely the next day. I would have loved to give a five star rating for this job but when you add up the dumpster incident, the not showing up and me having to call them, the glaring mistake over the main entrance, paying premium price for a more premium roof with the most expensive quote of the three, the supposedly best company with the best quality and the best ratings, well you know what I mean. read more

Victors crew was fast and even though we had a complete replacement of our 2nd story roof deck (the boards were damaged), they were done in one day. A Victors supervisor came back a few days later to inspect the installation and answer any questions. Clean-up was very good and they covered everything close to the house. Victors also informed us that our chimneys were in need of repair and came back to inspect the flashing after the chimneys were rebuilt by a different contractor. Love that they will inspect every year as part of their "concierge" service. read more

He was the company's representative who checked that everything on the roof was perfect and that there were no problems created because of the work. He made certain they replaced a dented gutter, a torn screen, and a missing vent cover. All minor, but Nate's commitment to fix everything was impressive. Trying to find the right size vent cover turned out to be a bit of a challenge for Nate, but after a few visits and tries, he finally found the right cover to fit the vent. From beginning to end, everyone from Victors has been as wonderful as Nate Martin. They were as efficient and dedicated to ensuring the job was done right. I would not recommend them. The roof was installed several months ago. Thus far has help up well. However, their business practices leave much to be desired. Paid them a sizable down payment. Signed the contract. A few days later received a call from their company that unless I paid them I would be placed in a collection agency! I had paid them! They screwed up with their paperwork. In addition, a woman came to my door a few days later and wanted several hundred dollars more for rotten shingles that needed to be replaced. They had never told me if this before hand. She said if I didn't give her the money, again they would put me in a collection agency! I paid them because I was too tired and aggravation to fight with them. Prices are outrageously high. Based on my personal experience only... Nutshell version: Though my roof looks good, they had to come back out and fix a bunch of things they did not get right the first time. They deemed it "necessary" to re-deck a large portion of my roof without providing evidence that it was actually necessary to do so. They damaged my screen door and offered to take some money off my bill as compensation, however never actually adjusted my bill. This has been a headache from the day the mandated both my husband and I be present for the initial meeting. Should have saw that as a red flag then. Smh. What I do give them a star for: They were quick in initial response and install, they had the best financing option, the people seemed nice, and all things considering my roof does look good. Why they don't get more stars: - Inter company communication (not only did I have to repeat myself to everyone I talked to, there seemed to be a discrepancy in that I was told I wouldn't have to be home (they set up the install without consulting me) but the lead crew guy grimaced when I told him I had to leave for work and said someone had to be home) - Professionalism (a roofer carved initials into one of our shingles) - Consistency (what we were quoted is NOT what we were charged) - Accountability (they say they take pictures before, during and after, but cannot provide any pictures justifying why replacing so much wood was necessary) - Over priced (they call it competitive, but I implore you to look elsewhere, this is not one of those "you get what you pay for things", I paid WAY to much for service I could have gotten at a much more reasonable price) - Price gouging (we were initially told it was $5 per 1x board, turns out it was $5/ft. So you end up paying about $30 for a board that you could have bought yourself for about $5-$10, and you pay $85 for a piece of OSB that you could have bought yourself for about $30-$40) I guess this is how they can afford to give someone a "free roof" after 100 people buy a roof (awe, how philanthropic). - If you have flowers around your house, don't expect them to be standing when they are done - Expect clean-up to only be about 85-90% cleaned up (I also recommend you to check your roof, there were quite a few nails and such left up there as well, though that doesn't count for "clean up") - Complaints and concerns are met with justifications and excuses - Also, good to note, their "late fee" is $100 additional for every month they can drag out resolving your issues and concerns. This is not something they tell you up front I am sure others have had a significantly more positive experience and this may actually be a decent company, but my experiences was NOT in any way pleasant. I would not recommend, I wish I could go back and use someone else. Advice: Ignorance is bliss in this matter, if you have low expectations and just want it done, this company is a decent choice. If you have standards, make sure you have other options. read more

They do not build tresses to make a flat roof pitched. (It was told to them beforehand that the roofs were flat, and they still sent out a guy for the estimate to then later tell me they don't do that.) This is a basic, inexperienced company that does not deserve even a 4 Star overall rating. (3 tops...can't be rated 4-5 if you can't even build tresses) To the "they came out for 2 hours to do an estimate" guy, it takes 15-30 mins tops. I found shingles in my yard that were blown off the roof. My roof is 2-stories high so, I couldn't see where they had come off. I called Victors Roofing and they were prompt and professional. Their inspector walked my whole roof and told me there was nothing wrong and that the shingles had been left behind by a prior roof repair by another company. In other words, they could have told me I needed a costly repair and I would not have known any better. But Victors Roofing was honest with me and told me that I did not need any services. As a courtesy, the inspector even fixed some loose flashing he noticed while he was up there. It was pretty nice to find a roofing company with integrity. read more

I was leery of trusting another roofing company after my last experience. The professionals at Victor's Roofing were able to quickly diagnose and make a concrete plan for my roof repair. With pictures, they were able to show me the previous roofer's deficiencies and how they would fix them. Afterwards, I received pictures of their repair work. I am updating my review because Dan called me and stated that the gentleman who came here made errors and explained that is not how they do business and offered to have a senior inspector come out and give us an estimate. I declined because I had already had some other roofing companies come out and really look at my roof and attic and gave me honest estimates for half the price. Dan seems like a good guy I guess the pandemic is still affecting quality of employee's that are available to hire. Hopefully they can send Gregory to a customer service class so he can learn how to not come off as condescending, rude or nosey. If you are going to ask questions about things that don't concern what you are there to do, please be tactful and be ready to explain why you are asking these questions and if your reason for asking a potential customer these questions don't have nothing to do with the project that you are there to address you might want to rethink asking it. Remember you are representing a company the customer may possibly hire the customer is not trying to get a job from you. some will just tell you it is none of your business and ask you to leave their home. Like I said Dan seemed nice and I wish someone like him had came to my home. Gregory you get 1 star for just showing up on time. Just had the initial evaluation today with Mike and Devon, they checked the attic and entire roof. They explained everything and gave me price "down to the penny ". They both wore masks , cleaned up after themselves when some insulation fell onto carpet . They also put temp fix around pipe boot while I wait for the fix. They were both very friendly and patient. Victor's installed my roof in November. The crew caused damage to my ceiling (pressure cracks). Contract or not, if you damage something, repair it. I paid eight thousand dollars over what other companies were charging (Total was over 20,000). The project supervisor did not inspect the roof after completion or offer any assistance with the ceiling damage. I called multiple times for an inspection and possible damage to my siding, but no one showed up (3 times). Customer service from my experience was poor, and not following through with the "company standards." My advice is to shop around and find an honest crew. Victors has been a great company to work with.  I find it strange that I am compelled to write a good review for a roofing company as I feel as long as they do a good job installing it doesn't leak then they've done their job enough said.  However, our path has been a little different.  Back in 2015 there was a storm that lifted enough shingles for a replacement to be covered by insurance.  We spoke to a handful of companies and received quotes and ultimately decided to go with Victors due to the price, quality of shingle, warranty and reviews we read online. Installation went smoothly and everything was good.  Then about two years ago we noticed a leak in a place we had experienced one before the roof was replaced, we thought due to poor flashing installation on the original roof (not by Victors).  We called Victors as part of our warranty and they came out quickly to look at the roof and let us know it was actually a siding issue.  The gentleman that came out took pictures to show us where the issue was and that the recently installed flashing was performing as it should and then he offered to go up and adjust the siding and put calk down to help temporarily address the issue with the siding until we could address it better in warmer weather.  Then in the past week we were in our attic and noticed that the OSB was dented in and we could see the vapor barrier under the shingles.  This spot on our roof is in a 2-story location with no trees even remotely near the house that could have caused the damage. We called Victors to come out to take a look and to give us a quote and they said that they weren't sure what happened either but that they would take care of it for us as part of our warranty.  Long story short they were great to work with during the estimating and installation process and I feel with the past two strange issues we've had they have gone above and beyond with their customer service.  I would strongly recommend using this company, you receive a quality product and installation along with great customer service. read more

It really was a good as it gets! A team of 6-7 guys arrived at my home on the appointed day, in the morning, and began work immediately. By about 4:00 PM, the roof on the house and on the unattached garage was replaced. In less than 10 hours! The workers were courteous, quiet (other than the hammering), and had answers whenever I had a question. I went with Victor's Roofing after an exhaustive Google search for the best roofer in the metro area, and it appears I found it. A cherry picker truck stopped by the day before to lift bundles of shingles onto the roof, then the work crew arrived the following morning. Also, I'm really appreciative that they did not need to use a large tow-only dumpster; rather, they brought a dumpster truck with them. After they left, there was no evidence at all that they had been there other than the new roofs, which is how every home services company should aspire to operate. Clean, quick, competent and also the people working in VR's office made every effort to schedule a time and date that would be suitable for me. They're in Canton, on the far west side, and I'm in Eastpointe, on the far east side - this didn't phase them. When their website states that they serve southeastern Michigan, they mean it! That said, I highly recommend this company for roof replacement. Not a single thing went wrong, and in my experience that almost never happens. I'm happy to recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Great job, guys! with the storms we had last night im sure there are many roofs in need of repair, please be warned that victors is a predatory business that just wants to sell you a complete roof. victors television ads state they will not sell you a roof if that's not the cause of a leak, that they will use state of the art diagnostic equipment to locate leaks, and provide the client with photos. they are all lies. we were sold a roof august of 2021 because of a leak over our bed in the master suite, $18000 is what we paid them only to find out a year later that the leak in fact was coming from our chimney cap. i told them i thought we paid for a roof we didn't need, i was then informed its a process of elimination, if that's the case why do the t.v commercials state otherwise. they told us we would be provided pictures of the issues that determined we needed a roof but we have still not received them 2 years later. august 2021 victors sold us a roof for a leak above our bed in the master suite. ausust 2022 after a storm leak re appeared in same spot, victors stated it was the chimney cap but assured us we needed the roof. they sent masons out to fix the cap. august 2023 last night during the storm the leak came back a third time, after speaking with warranty department they sent out a worker to inspect, he told us the chimney cap was the cause of the leak and he could modify and caulk it, then after the next storm we can see it it fixes the leak. he also stated they probably wouldnt replace the damaged drywall over the bed because they paid to have it fixed last time. he went on to assure me we did need a new roof in 2021 even in the face of the fact the leak we paid them to fix was overlooked and is persistent. read more
