First time renters using Victory Beach Vacations. Their website is user friendly and customer service is top notch! I was happy to see that they have several pet friendly properties to choose from and their pet fee was not a bazillion dollars. (Our dog is still unemployed and some of these companies charge up to $300!!!) I reserved a property online late Saturday evening and received a call from a representative at 0900 on Sunday. I wish I remembered the lady's name but she was friendly, helpful, and was able to answer all of my questions about the property. We received an email 3 days prior that the property would be ready by 4:30 pm (the usual time is 4:00 pm) I wondered why it was 30 minutes later but we never manage to get the beach before check in time anyway. We were informed that the door code would be provided the day of check-in. We received an early text at at 3:00 pm that the property was ready! We have been vacationing at Carolina Beach for several years. Our property, Tide & Seek was hands down one of the CLEANEST we have ever rented. (I travel with my own cordless vacuum and cleaning supplies - yes I am that kind of special.) It was so nice to not have to clean while unpacking! There was a nice 3 ring binder with all property and local information and little cooler bag with a few extra starter items (paper towels, trash bags, and tissue paper) which are always appreciated. I also liked the fact that I could opt to bring my own towels and linens to save a few dollars instead of having them added to the rental price. Be sure to sign up to receive their emails with specials. They have been running great promos offering gas cards, % off, and offering short stays. Every little bit counts ... so you can go get more Britt's Donuts! We had an issue with our stove a few days into our trip. I called the office and a very nice maintenance guy came out right away. A second electrical repair guy came out a little later, figured out the wiring issue, and was back with part before lunch! He was super nice and very knowledgeable about the area. Talk about fantastic customer service!! We loved pet friendly, Tide & Seek so much that we are already planning to rent the property for our next vacation! Unit was ok. Needed updating. Main concern is the Victory's response to the noise complaint of the unit above us, which they also manage. We dealt with 5 nights of the renters above us having kids running around, screaming, jumping off furniture, and banging on the floor until 11:30 at night, and doing it again at 7am. We could hear the children jumping off the bed in the bedroom above us. Tried to address it to the renter and they were rude. So we contacted Victory and they did nothing about it. Won't rent from them again. read more

Very pleased with Victory Fair Haven, super clean!! Quick overview: - super clean - extra space for a 1 bed/1 bath with the added sunroom (full size futo - very short walk to beach (1 short block or a couple min, very easy - you can see the beach entrance from the parking exit), the Victory house (& office) is basically right behind Squigleys. - super convenient beach carts w/chairs, umbrellas & more (good carts with the big wheels & even some TommyB chairs) This was our 2nd time using Victory, the last couple years we used other rentals (VRBO and Carolina Beach Realty, VRBO was fine... no problems there, but TONS of issues with CBR which I will never use again). So this year we returned to Victory with high hopes. Our 1st stay 3 yrs ago with Victory was the Victory Penthouse. We were very pleased with the cleanliness & all aspects of our stay. This year, we went smaller, with the Victory Fair Haven; it was VERY clean - the cleaning company really does a great job. Floors & carpets were all completely free of sand and all counters & table surfaces were spotless.....I'm overly picky about cleanliness and look at things like the baseboards & in corners (usually those are the worst). While it's not like my own home, I was duly impressed! I was comfortable enough that I didn't feel like (upon arrival) I had to clean anything, that is rare & it was a treat for me to be able to relax immediately! Most of the reviews are for the actual rental properties, not Victory Vacations. We just rented through Victory, and they were excellent to deal with. Great communication, all the way from the initial booking, to final checkout. Prompt answers to emails. Return phone calls were responded to within an hour. No surprises as to the property and the furnishings, upon arrival. Would definitely rent through this company again. read more

I took my elderly parents and kids to stay at the Atlantis property in August 2022. It is a completely dilapidated property. Both the home and the furnishings are disgusting. The stairs leading to home are badly weathered and falling apart. Inside the "Wood" floor planks were peeling. The home was also not clean when we arrived - fridge was filthy as was the rug in living room. Chairs outside and inside dining area were peeling/dingy. They also don't tell you the parking is basically in an alley and is impossible to maneuver in a SUV. Or that you are next door to a hotel with hundreds of guests that are noisy at all times. I had rented with Victory during the pandemic in the past and the homes were decent. They were at least clean. This one is not and the staff were unwilling to permit us to move to another rental. Instead they came and glued the floor back down and sent someone to clean - which should have been done before we arrived. But sanitizing a pile of shit doesn't make it more appealing. The exterior and interior of this home are subpar for the over $5k that I paid. The sad part was I took my elderly parents here for a beach vacation and they were afraid of falling on the outside stairs since they were falling apart. We actually checked out three days early. What a waste. I will never rent with this company again and have informed my friends/family - some of whom I had referred- not to do so either. Victory should be ashamed to rent this property in this condition and falsely advertising it as looking clean/new! We actually looked into getting other accommodations and the beachfront motels we looked at were better than this and 1/4th the price. read more

This was our first trip to Carolina beach. We were more than happy with our whole experience there. Carolina surf 406 is absolutely beautiful and well equipped! The bed was so comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful property! After a bad experience last year at a different beach I was very reluctant to even go to any beach this year. I had a conversation with someone in the office at Victory beach vacations and she assured me the place was as nice as the pictures online. I think her name was Tana I can't recall exactly her name but she and the staff there was beyond courteous and helpful. They were professional but yet I felt like I knew them. This was an exceptionally clean property! This place was more beautiful than the pictures could show! I highly recommend this property and I highly recommend Victory beach vacations you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you so much I will be back again!!! Carolina beach is a wonderful beach! I've stayed at two Victory Beach Vacations properties at this point. A Shore Pleasure last Fall (October 2022), and just this past week at Luna Sea. And both were amazing! They were exactly as advertised. Beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Two of the most relaxing vacations I've ever been on. Zero stress. Everything worked. And the staff are the best I have ever dealt with. Clear and quick communication. And extremely professional and friendly. I'm a 6 hour drive away, but will be returning as often as possible. And want to check out as many of their other properties as I can. All look great! read more

I would like to review a property called Summer Song in Carolina Beach rented by Victory Vacation rentals. We rented this as a Winter rental in January2 -April 2of this year. it is a 3 story property with lots of stairs that has 2 elevators. There were 3 adults and a dog staying at this property. When we inquiring about a winter property my first request was that if it had stairs we must have an elevator as my husband and I both have bad knees. This property in the description says elevator "when available". I thought that meant unless it was broken. Knowing things like this can happen. What I found out later was that there was a NC law that was passed after an accident involving a child killed in an elevator ( not Carolina Beach area) but in NC that mandated a part be installed on all residential elevators. The owner of the real estate company knew that these elevators would not be accessible until this part was available. Our rent and deposits were paid and a few days before we checked in we were informed that the heat was broken on the third floor. But nothing about the elevators not working until we arrived. We had to provide our own linens and supplies for 3 months so you can imagine how many bags we had at check in. We are 3 people in our 60's and approximately 24 steep stairs (48 round trip). Not a good way to start our extended stay! Our friends daughter whom had not started back to college yet helped us get our bags into the house! Exhausting and deceitful on the part of the management company!!!! We had given approximately $19,000 at this point all in advance! When the number one thing I had requested was if the property had stairs we had to have an elevator!! We expressed our concern after arriving and the Owner of the real estate property said "You agreed to this" in the contract it says elevators when available!! How about you didnt disclose all the information!!!!!! Big difference! If she had disclosed the information we knew people in the area that had teenagers whom we could have hired to help us get 30 bags in the house for a 3 month stay! After arriving we quickly noticed that was not where the deceit ended. The pictures of this property are probably 10 years old and not what this property looks like! I will attach pictures of what this property really looks like!! Everything is very old and dirty and not in good working condition. There should be a NC law against Property managers with outdated pictures of properties as well, they should not be able to get away with this!! We had many many service calls and they did call repair people but I felt like the repair people should have paid rent!!! Constantly being there and ordering parts and putting band aids on very old and outdated appliances and air conditioning units! Everything is rusted, has not been painted in years, most chairs and beds dilapidated and broken. Only because it is located on the beach are they able to rent it. The property managers would come once a month to inspect us!!! I finally ask what do you think we could do to this property?? It was laughable! They were in the unit more than us! We will return to Carolina Beach BUT we will never have any dealings with this company again! read more

We have stayed at this property before and it has become very rundown. There are boards falling off the side of the house. The railings around the pool are rotting, when we arrived the hot tub was full of sand. We ended up having to take a hose and crate suction to vacuum the sand out before it was usable and then refill the hot tub, they provide nothing and I mean nothing. No paper towels, no toilet paper, no dishwasher detergent, no sheets, no towels, no beach towels, no trash bags, basically nothing. You have to pay for sheets and towels, and they are incredibly worn and thin and the towels look like they bought someone's used towels from thrift shop. There was a dirty mop, head laying on the shelves in the pantry where you would put your food, which was pretty gross. They say they have freshly washed comforters on the beds, but they are really just some old nasty comforters with a threadbare comforter cover over them . This house was expensive to rent and definitely not worth the price. I cannot recommend anybody using this company until they figure out what customer service is all about. We rent homes all over the country and this is by far the worst customer service of any place we have ever stayed. Save your money and look elsewhere. read more

We had a wonderful experience working with VBV on our first visit to Carolina Beach. From start to finish, they always communicated promptly and with a friendly attitude. We booked an oceanfront condo that was pet friendly, and we had a fabulous time! It was our pupper's first trip to the beach and VBV helped make that happen. I had accidentally locked myself out, and after calling VBV, within 5-10 minutes, someone came by to let us into our unit. Great customer service and we look forward to booking again! read more

No decent internet, no ice, noise and street construction. Accommodations are nice but the pictures for the Master Suite are misleading. No ice possible in refrigerator and no ice machine on property. There was street construction going on the whole week which completely blocked easy access to the beach all week and any access to pools across the street for two days. They sent a notice the day before leaving that street construction would block main entrance to site for only 3 days. Not the case and I would suspect the city gave them more warning than one day. The free internet was pitiful!!!! It would go in and out in room and no connection at all on balcony. I complained and asked to use their main router connection which picked up everywhere but was denied and told they would move the router closer to the middle of the room it was in nearer our room( it did nothing). The staff were nice just not able to do anything. Be weary of this group!!!! read more

We rented the Beach Bungalow. The first thing we noticed was how clean the place was. It was immaculate; their housekeepers deserve a pat on the back. Everything seemed new--paint, carpets, furniture, etc. It was also very well equipped; umbrella, beach mats, chairs, as well as a kitchen with plenty of pots, dishes, appliances, etc. The propane tank on the BBQ grill was empty, and when I called they had a new tank there within minutes. There were only a few minor negatives: the ice maker in the fridge doesn't work, so you need to use the provided ice trays; the TV in the master bedroom often blinks out. Also...and this the biggest concern...we paid for linens but had to make the beds ourselves. Nobody wants to drive 10 hours and then have to make beds. You want your customers to keep saying "wow" when they first arrive; the wows stop when I have to put sheets on the bed. Other than those minor things, VBV provided a good, clean, well-equipped house a block from the beach, and had great customer service when we needed something. I unhesitatingly recommend them, and would definitely go back. read more

Buyer be ware. I booked a house the end of July for the second week in September. The first of Sept, the property has a special price reduction starting the day we were to check in and for the rest of the month. When checking in I inquired about the price reduction, I was told it did not apply to me. And how dare I ask, because that in not what my contract stated. I ask why did the start date on their website included the exact date we were checking in. At this point 2 "other employees" came out of their offices and joined the "party". Needless to say, they had all my money and there was not much I could do. As I was leaving, I told them that I had a very big mouth, and I would try to let others know how they did business. The Balhi was very nice and we ended up enjoyed our week. The house is tasteful decorated. Very slim on kitchen supplies. read more

We have rented from realtors in Kure Beach NC before. However, we found this rental organization to be highly non customer service oriented. We rented Joe's Beach House and found the place to be slightly below the pictures and descriptions. We were promised a back awning for shade, and a kitchen with all the needed supplies (pots, pans, etc..). We had no back awning and when calling Victory Beach Vactions they were lackluster in wanting to solve the issue. They finally after 2 days brought us a cheap umbrella that we had to rig up ourselves. Also the kitchen of Joe's Beach House had hardly no pots/pans that were not falling apart, no bowls/platters, etc.. As nice as the layout was, we also did not like the fact the house is right next to public beach access and the beach was small due to the tide. For all the places we have rented on beach vacations, we dont recommend Joe's Beach House or using Victory Beach Vacations. read more

Super excited just booked our summer vacation thru Victory Beach Vacation Rentals at Coral Cottage. Stayed there last year and this home is perfect with all the amenities one could or would need. The staff at the rental office was awesome too ! Was told that new this year pets would be allowed in the beach before 9am and after 5pm which make it even better for our furry girl. Can't wait. Good agency. We rented a unit in Sea Colony that looked better in photos than in real life. We encountered a pretty significant problem and the staff at Victory did all they could to address the issue and kept us informed as things progressed. Unfortunately the problem could not be resolved for nearly 2 days because outside tradesmen were required to fix the issue and they could not be dispatched quickly due to summer demand. Victory did whatever they could in an professional manner. Unfortunately the property was aging and the mechanicals were original so the breakdown was not a big surprise just really inconvenient. The bathroom in this unit was not clean. It was as though no cleaning products had been used to clean any of the fixtures particularly the tub floor and the toilet. The rest of the apartment was okay. I would rent through Victory again but I would not rent this particular unit as the kitchen and bathroom are in need of a major upgrade. read more

We rented a beautiful oceanfront home along with 14 of our friends in July 2018. 3 floors all nicely decorated and well appointed. After a shaky start with the home not being ready when we arrived and a problem with a first floor toilet we had a great week and enjoyed the stay. The day we checked out was when the trouble began. Our vacation organizer was contacted on her way home and informed there would no refund of the deposit and additional charges for various things including: carpet left wet and stained, theft of cleaning supplies, damage to a telescope belonging to the owner and overall dirty conditions left by us. None of this was true and as she began calling the rest of us also on our way home we all became increasingly upset with this situation. We rallied together and informed them we would not pay additional charges. We had pictures to prove we did not leave the place in the condition they stated we had. Ultimately, there were no added charges and our organizer got her deposit back. In 30+ years of doing vacation rentals from Myrtle Beach to the Florida Keys we have never had an experience as bad as this. Once again, the home was beautiful but the rental company was terrible. After seeing a couple other reviews with situations similar to ours I decided to place this review. read more

Was told that she would not be able to help me because my group was not a family. Not the best resource for groups who like to travel and want to experience Wilmington. Horrible experience. We were planning to stay in a $5000 dollar per week home the week of my daughter's wedding, which was being held at a separate location and venue. Only our immediate family would be staying at the house. I asked if my daughter and her bridesmaids could get dressed at the house and they cancelled my reservation! I offered to pay an extra deposit and sign a contract stating there would be no other wedding activities, parties, etc and they refused. Angie Braddy was horrible, uncaring, unfriendly, and this company is extremely unprofessional . VRBO or Sea Coast is a much better place to invest in your vacation for great memories. read more
