Todays incident was one of many Ive experienced lately and it started with them not wanting to sell me a couple rolls of SOD and to top it off they left me waiting for 20 minutes to load the rock I had purchased. I would have been a bit more understanding if they were busy, but I was the only customer on the property. Im done with them. read more

This has been our go to place for trees and large shrubs for many years. The staff is awesome and knowledgeable. You pay a little more for the larger trees but that includes them coming out and planting them and they will guarantee 50% of the cost of the tree shrub if they die. read more

I needed some sod this weekend because I'd killed some grass in my front yard as a new home owner. I thought fertilizer was the way to go, but didn't water after as a plain ole, never had a lawn, rookie move. I burned it to hell, and the HOA wasn't going to be pleased with my ignorance, much less my neighbors, who's lawn is perfectly maintained. I made the decision, with the help of my dad, to go to Victory Greens, not just because it was near, but also because I'd read reviews to purchase anything from the company. Mind you, I've made my own choice in this life to alter my appearance with tattoos and hair style - and I expect in any establishment to be met with a level of "whoa", but I'm also about being humble, and especially when I'm paying for a service a certain level of customer service, because I am, after all, a paying customer. My experience there was anything but. Not really knowing what I'd be ordering was an anxiety I had to start, but I knew the square footage to a degree. Instead of being helpful as I walked up to the sales counter, the guy proceeded to shout - "THIS GIRL NEED SOME SOD" when I stammered before pulling out my measurements. He the yelled, "SHE NEEDS A LOT OF SOD" when I confusued at that point, and continued to stammer, now embarrassed. He wrote it on the invoice. "some sod" "alot (sic) sod" The office had a good chuckle, and it was lame. The other dude just yelled, "GIVE HER THIRTY ROLLS, that's what she's asking for!" At the end of the day, the product they produced was epic, and my yard looks great after my family and I spent the day installing it - but my experience there was lame. Get better with your delivery of your amazing product, is what I say. Comedy and judgement is what it is, and my HOA is super good with it all - but the human experience is just as important as the return customer. 10/10. The sod is brilliant. 1/10. Purchased gravel from them last week. We were told that they would call 30 minutes before delivery. You also don't get your receipt until they deliver the stone. The person who sold it to use wrote down the wrong stone. We weren't home when they delivered since they didn't call. If we had the receipt we would have seen they wrote down the wrong thing or if we were home we could have told them it was the wrong product. Called and was told it is already on the driveway so not their problem. Now we have try to sell this and we are out the $75.00 delivery fee. read more

The reason I can't give 5 stars was this is a replacement tree for one that expired. When I showed the guys this they said the removal of the old tree was not included and would require an additional "tip". So I begrudgingly paid a "tip" even though they had to dig the hole anyway. Had a tree die 2 months after planting. All the other trees and other plants in my yard are doing great. I took a picture of the tree (per their instruction) and the copy of the receipt that they gave me to effect a replacement. What I got was a run around, they will not honor the exchange unless I produce the yellow copy of the receipt, not withstanding their admission that the copy is a bona fide copy that they gave me. Their return policy SUCKS!! Nice trees, crappy service. Not at all accommodating or polite. BTW, my gardener of 20 years duration told me the tree was improperly planted in a hole which was too small for it. I even showed them recommendations for the planting of the tree which reflected my gardener's opinion. They poo pooed that without examining it and accused me of watering it improperly. My opinion is to find another source and/or hardscape. I checked with another gardener and his opinion of their service was less than favorable as well. Caveat emptor. read more

From the time I got on the golf cart to go pick a tree knew I had come to the right place. With the tree picked out delivery and planting was scheduled. When the crew showed up they were courteous and ready to work. Quickly they found that previous landscapers had not removed stump that I had paid for, just cut below dirt. Instead of explaining to my wife why they couldn't they just did what was needed to make it a successful plant. Paid for prime cuts, got some lips and tails. I purchased 4 cuyds of white granite from Victory Greens to border a xeriscape front yard. The product was priced at a premium, $249/yd, but based on the samples of 1-2" crushed stone and pure color, I went for it. Turns out about 1/2 yard was silt/sand which I didn't desire to put on top of the weed barrier as a growth medium for weeds. Had to wash and screen the stone on the driveway prior to install which was major pain and cleanup headache, in addition to being short usable material. Lesson learned, don't buy crushed stone when the bin isn't full or near full, stay away from the bottom garbage. read more

I took my newer pickup into victory greens for a load of perms rock. I had a tarp but when I went to grab it, the ignorant front end loader motioned to leave it.. they were too busy. He dumped the load down my pickup and rock chipped the entire side of it. The owner didn't respond until today, 3 weeks later. They refused the claim and said it's what happens. Owner is Tom and he is incredibly rude. I've loaded at Diamond recycling and NEVER had an issue. Zambia's either. Plus... their crappy rock is full of dirt. Avoid at all costs. read more

What a selection of hardscape materials! We were in search of paver options for our backyard walkway as well as some materials for a waterfall fountain. This place did not disappoint. We went on a Saturday late morning and this place was super busy. We were able to walk around and look at a bunch of different options. We were offered help, but weren't ready to make a final decision as there were just too many good choices. We also noticed a good selection of healthy Japanese Maples at great prices. 12/16 arborvitaes died within 9 months of Victory Greens planting them. We spoke with 3 different people at 3 different times about how to care, maintain and water them (we brought photos, thinking that would help). The third person we spoke to, unsolicited, told me he was the owner. He then proceeded to condescend me, talk down to me, insinuate that it must be my fault that my trees were dying, and then repeated the same advice that the other two (much nicer and more friendly) employees had previously given (and had obviously not worked). He even insinuated that I must not have followed directions if the trees were dying. At that point, we only had a few dead ones. Now we have 12. Refund? fuhgeddaboudit! They'll sell us replacement arborvitaes at 1/2 off AND waive the $50 deliver fee haha. Let's see....we spent $1,800 on the now-dead trees, there's no way in HELL we'll pay another $900 to get replacements from them that will most-likely die again. I'm not too hopeful for the 4 that are still somewhat green. read more

I have been a Victory Greens repeat customer for the past 3 years, consuming a broad range of products that often required delivery (which they do charge you handsomely - $65 a drop). This year my experience has been a train wreck, I ordered product (and paid for it) on Monday the 21st of this week for a delivery on Friday the 25th .. being located only 3 miles from their new location on Meridian Rd. After preparing the delivery site early in AM I waited .. and waited .. and waited for a call - crickets. At 11 A I called and asked about a general update on the drop, spoke to an employee and she assured me I would hear back shortly. 3 PM and .. you guessed it crickets. I called a second time to see if I was on the drop list for today and my contact didn't ask for my name, address or any details but insisted if I had a Friday delivery I would get it before 5 P. When I explained to him my experience with a no call back he apologized but offered no encouragement or made any attempt to go the extra mile to help solve my poor customer service experience. Well there goes the neighborhood .. another vendor settling for business as usual. For me, next time it is new vendor time and only wish Victory Greens farewell ! read more

Well, this is a first. Bought two items and VG. Paid cash. Saved the receipt (since we knew we may not need both items.) Returned one item, unopened with receipt. Instead of getting cash back, we were given a slip of paper and told that we'd be "mailed a check." If a customer pays cash, they should receive cash back on the spot. Waiting for a check or having to share personal information, inconveniences the customer and seems way too old school. read more

DO NOT buy Oakley flagstone. we received a pallet of remnants that they did not allow us to see weighed. only three stones in the pallet larger than 12x12. you will not know that until you down stack the entire pallet. It is clear they will rip you off. if theyload stone for you be sure to watch it being weighed and sort through the pallet before they load it. THERE IS NO DISCOUNT for demeanors and broken pieces. We have bought over 10 trees from victory and have enjoyed the experience every time. We had three trees that failed just after the one-year warranty Mark. I caught up with Tim the manager and shared with him the situation. He volunteered to honor the warranty anyway which was really great and we appreciated that so much. My four-year-old daughter was really interested in looking at some of the rocks that were there and we asked if she could take a few rocks home. Tim went above and beyond and gave my daughter a rock tour. My four-year-old daughter was absolutely delighted and got to go home bragging about all the rocks she had collected. She still has them on display. The selection here is great, the people are great and the prices are very competitive. Always been impressed by the knowledge of the staff. I would suggest a product called tree gator. This is a water bag that helps the watering process of a new tree. They don't sell it at victory but you can get it on Amazon. read more
