Exceptional Service From Marcos Pangelinan at Ron DuPratt Ford…read more After my transmission failed and my hybrid system shut down late at night on a country road, I was in a rough place. I had been sitting alone in the dark for about 30 minutes, stressed and discouraged, before finally calling for a tow. When Tow Operator Marcos Pangelinan from Ron DuPratt Ford arrived, the situation immediately felt under control. He greeted me with genuine kindness, professionalism, and calm confidence. He assured me that I would be taken care of, then got to work with impressive focus and precision. Marcos handled my vehicle carefully and methodically. His equipment was exceptionally organized, his straps were properly maintained, neatly arranged, and it was obvious that he takes pride in doing the job correctly. His truck was clean, orderly, and professional as well. During the one hour ride, Marcos was friendly, respectful, and easy to talk with. I learned that he is taking in person classes to advance his career, staying disciplined with the gym and nutrition, and working demanding night shift hours. That level of work ethic, accountability, self improvement, and professionalism is rare. Marcos has the temperament, discipline, customer service instincts, and leadership qualities that would make him an excellent candidate for greater responsibility, and in my view, a future management role. Ron DuPratt Ford is fortunate to have him representing the company. Thank you, Marcos, for turning a stressful late night breakdown into an experience where I felt safe, respected, and genuinely taken care of.

I worked with Mason, who helped me purchase my new vehicle, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. He really took the time to find me the perfect fit something that stayed within my budget but was still a car I absolutely fell in love with. That balance isn't easy, and he made it happen. What really stood out to me was his level of dedication. He even went out of his way to pick up documents from out of town just to make the process smoother for me. That kind of customer service is rare and truly says everything about how much they care. Mason was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all-around great person to work with. I also think it's amazing that he comes from a second-generation car dealer family you can tell he knows exactly what he's doing. I highly, highly recommend this dealership and especially Mason if you're looking for a great car-buying experience!

We found a list, and took with us to meet Vinny. Vinny was extremely professional, helpful, down to earth, and was trying his best to accommodate my son's needs. My son has extremely high anxiety, so Vinny made it that much easier. The only reason I gave 4 stars, is because they couldn't find the keys to one car of interest, so we waited and waited, but then found another car of interest, and the first car was extremely comfortable, but dirty. Seats were dirty, stained, and I figured these cars would have been cleaned if they were posted on their sites. My son settled on the car of his choice. They filled up, cleaned and went through it's inspection process. We arrived around 1 and left about 6, so it was a long day. It's a smaller office, so we were waiting in line to be next for the financial side of things, but Vinny was very kind and offered us water, free snacks, etc. The only thing we noticed was that the spare tire was missing from the car which was odd, because the car had about 7k miles?? We noticed after we left with car. One of the other salesmen were a little pushy when it came to the extras and packages, after I told him no thank-you. He still seemed to shove in front of my son. Anyhow, it ended with a happy deserving young man. So, that made me feel good. Appreciate you Vinny.

Once there, we found improperly fitted front fender liners, then learned the second key was missing, followed by missing headphones for the entertainment system. Despite each new issue, we continued trying to make the deal work and were willing to address several of these items ourselves. After nearly four hours, with the paperwork printed and our checkbook in hand, a $995 Platinum Care package appeared on the contract that had never been discussed or agreed to. We declined it and were told the dealership would not sell us the vehicle unless we purchased the package. We walked away. We subsequently contacted the General Manager to share our experience. We were asked to provide the details, which we did, and then never heard from him again. Unfortunately, that only added to an already poor experience. Afterward, I read through other Yelp reviews and saw numerous customers describing similar concerns involving add-ons, changing terms, and their overall sales experience. Based on our experience, be aware and stay away.

**READ BEFORE SERVICING YOUR VEHICLE HERE**…read more My fiancé has a 2018 CRV that has had something wrong with the AC for the past 3 years. Mind you, she purchased this in Napa; however, lives in Vacaville. Honda has had a service bulletin/recall regarding a seal that needs to be replaced as it has caused several AC's to blow hot air or make the AC perform very intermittently. Service bulletins/recall alerts for any parts are 100% covered by the dealership and through Honda. When a customer comes in requesting the recall service to be performed, they should never be charged for inspections. If during the service appointment the department finds the source of the issue is not with the recalled part, the customer should still never be charged for the inspection unless this is discussed ahead of time and agreed upon. In looking at the past reviews and from my fiancé's experience the past few years, it seems Vacaville Honda's service department is running unethical practices that prey on customers who may not understand their rights, more specifically if they are women. She had taken the car for the recall to Vacaville Honda on two occasions in different years, trusting they would take care of the issue and do proper servicing in regards to what was stated in the bulletin. Twice, they not only charged her for inspections (to the tune of $250+ each time) but both times they stated the issue was not with the recalled part. This past visit back in August, they tried to quote her for a full AC replacement for $7000. Just recently, she and I had a discussion about her car's AC and we dug a little deeper into her experiences. After reviewing the documentation and service bulletin, and after diagnosing where the problem really was, I contacted a different Honda service department to perform the service regarding the recalled part, free of charge (as outlined in the actual service bulletin). Not only was the recalled part the issue that fixed her ongoing AC problems, but it was literally a 2 hour job that should have been handled correctly the past two times she went to Vacaville Honda. As her partner, I'm infuriated a company would put her through this and having to endure over 100 degree weather each summer because she couldn't afford $7000 to "fix" the problem. As a human being, I'm completely baffled how this unethical practice has been allowed to go on with multiple customers at this location. If you are a customer here with their service department, I would encourage you to read up on your rights for recalled parts and service bulletins. I would also encourage you to seek second opinions for anything they state "needs to be replaced". After collecting the documentation of her experiences, I will be taking this higher and will absolutely be reaching out to reviewers who have had the same experience. This should never be happening, especially at a dealership, and the service department as a whole should be held accountable for their unethical practices. Happy to be a resource for anyone who has had similar experiences.
