I came in for my appointment ON TIME. And there was a car in front of me which is fine no worries. But after the associate checked in the car in front me he, the guy decides to just hang out and talk to another associate just laughing doing nothing. Then goes and drops off the car that was in front of me and walks very very slowly back in the lobby and he starts drinking and talking to another girl associate It wasnt until another car pulled up next to me for him to wake the hell up and realize he has a job to do! I think his name is Manuel Lopez. As you can see from the photos there was absolutly no cars in front of me and you cant see but when I took this photo it was when he was in the lobby talking to a girl. And when he finally checked me in you can 100% tell he didnt wanna be here. He made me sign 4 signuartes not even telling me what im signing. Their poor rating speaks volumes even before adding my experience to the mix. I was doing some comparative shopping, having already test-driven the vehicle at another dealership. Purchased a '99 Toyota Avalon from the Toyota dealership at this location in 1999 and paid $300 for a lifetime oil change agreement. Ammaar's Toyota manager refuses to fulfill my agreement stating they are not responsible to honor my warranty since they are not the original Toyota dealership that I purchased my Toyota from. This agreement is for the vehicle I purchased from this exact Toyota location and I feel they are obligated to honor this Toyota agreement. Do not ever purchase a warranty agreement without full disclosure of ramifications should the original dealership change just to be informed the agreementis no longer valid. My opinion is Aamaars Toyota should honor this Toyota lifetime agreement in good faith, no matter what name the original location is named. I'm sharing my negative experience with Aamaars with everyone I know and those that I don't. read more

Went in for a Oil change and they told me they couldn't do it after waiting almost two hours. They informed me that my oil drain plug was after market and they would need to replace my entire oil pan for $800. They then told me that the last place I went must have put on a aftermarket part and they couldn't just take it off. Went and got my oil changed at Take 5 and had no problems. Toyota was just trying to make $800 I called around and even other Toyota mechanics said it could have been taken off no problems. Other sales staff tried to find the vehicle, and eventually determined it had been sold 20 minutes earlier. Although it was on-site, they would not make it available to look at. Chris would not come out from the back room to talk to us. No call ahead of time to tell us it was being sold and save us a trip. No apology for wasting two hours of our afternoon. Needless to say, we will never be returning to this dealership or recommending it to anyone. This is rude and unprofessional behavior even by car dealer standards. read more

They said that there was cars ahead of me I thought it was kind of strange because I had a 930 appointment that I've booked over two weeks before. I finally had to talk to Customer Service person to say I need my car and they basically said well they're working on it anyway you have to finally got somebody and I just said just give me the recall. But they insisted on doing all extra inspections at no cost. I finally demanded my are at 11am and they said I need over $750 worth of repairs. I will never go back to that dealership. read more

Buyer Beware. They Scam you in finance and use High Pressure sales to get you to buy extended warranty. I then tried to cancel it thru the dealership and they ignored my phone calls, I then called Toyota 1/2 a dozen times. The dealership has not returned the signed cancellation form. I have written a formal letter of complaint to Toyota. Got a call back this morning and was informed that the dealership is under investigation for shady dealings. I will update as this progresses. Met with Tyler who was super organized and didn't do any high pressure sales tactics. I definitely appreciated they didn't do any stupid add-ons like some dealerships do (no $70 USB cables!) but a little annoying they etch every catalytic converter. I get why (CA law), but would of been nice to be able to opt out. Will say though that Tyler was up front about it before I drove out, so there were no surprises. The Sales Associates Tyler and Pati were unfailingly patient, friendly and thorough, as was the Finance Manager who talked me through the lease process. These cars are very hard to find at the moment, and many dealers charge a "mark-up" between $2 and 4 thousand. Ammaar does not. I call that integrity. WARNING: Long story! I'd like to thank Ryan (Svc Advisor) who I initially met when I came in to ask questions about why multiple lights might still be on after I replaced the fusible link in my car myself (I blew this part by accidentally crossing the jumper cables). He was extremely helpful and gave me several places to check after I told him that I wanted to attempt the fix myself before scheduling an appt. No luck, so I brought the car in. Ryan informed me every step of the way, while Joe, their expert mechanic, quickly fixed what turned out to be an alternator problem. Ok, so I could stop here and this would just be a post about excellent customer service but it's also about trust. During the fix, Joe noticed that the part that I had replaced was sparking and he was concerned. Ryan informed me that they thought it could've been caused by a defect in the aftermarket part that I initially replaced and the safest thing would be to replace it again, this time, with an authorized part. Ryan gave me the additional cost for parts/labor but must've heard the defeat in my voice and encouraged me to be proud of the work that I did. After hanging up, I couldn't let it go and recalled that I had to buy a replacement screw for the part at Ace Hardware because I got cocky when I finished the repair, celebrated too early, and dropped the last screw in the body of the car. So I called Ryan back and asked him to see if it was that odd screw that could be sparking. He called me back 30 mins after we hung up and said good news, it wasn't that screw but it was the bolt holding the piece in place that needed to be tightened. No additional work needed, please come and get your car! This is where the trust with this repair shop was cemented for me! They could've: A) Ignored my request to check or B) Told me anything to bring in some extra revenue for a fix that turns out, wasn't needed. But they did the opposite of that and I will forever be grateful and a loyal customer! I've already told at least 20 people about my experience and it's only been 3 days since I got my car back!!! read more
