Went in for an oil change and left with a broken immobilized vehicle and a rental car (on my dime). I mistakenly assumed that the company's upper management would make things right but was surprised to find quite the opposite. Having worked as a mechanic, I understand that things happen and mistakes are made. However, when things go wrong, it's the company's responsibility to make them right. Unfortunately, this was not the case in my experience. My truck was stuck at the Brighton location for 10 days while we went back and forth over repair work and parts. I requested numerous times, to have my vehicle towed to a shop of my choosing but was refused. I was then lied to as to the origin of the parts being installed to fix their boo boo. For obvious reasons, I wanted new OEM parts installed with a warranty on the parts and labor, incase something happened. They then took it upon themselves to install a salvaged part despite having asked them not to. I raised hell over the way this was handled but still ended up having to pay them for an oil change. Just take into account that by doing business here, you have little to fall back on. Their better business bureau account is bunk and provided no response. If you utilize a quick lube shop, find one that's Better Business Bureau accredited. Steer clear of Victory Lane. Positive reviews are written by the company and cannot be relied upon. read more

What an absolute bunch of criminals!! We get our oil changed at the Howell location for years now, my wife visits the Brighton store today and they tell her its going to be $148 for an oil change. What?? For a 1500 Ram with a Synthetic Blend that we never pay over $80 for? She says last time we paid $78, he says let me check, OH OK WE CAN DO IT FOR THAT..... What? This place has a reputation for taking advantage of young women but remember that young women have fathers that might be a little wiser or even in the automotive business for over 36 years. When someone ask for an estimate on a repair, you estimate the total repair. An oil filter is a part of an oil change. Washer fluid that wasn't requested can't be billed especially when it was not even added. This was performed less than hour ago and she is currently low on fluid. My daughter was quoted $99 for a full synthetic oil change. Seemed high but she was aware. She was charged $20 for a filter that is already a part of an oil change. She was charged $2.00 for washer solvent that was not only not requested or part of the estimate given, it was not received. This business practice is pathetic. read more

Got an oil change here a few days ago, and started having issues a day after and come to find out there is no oil in my car. Highly likely engine damage, acceleration is slow out the gate and struggles to go above 70. Took it back in today and still have the same issues. They tried telling me it was a random mechanical issue but pretty coincidental it happens right after the oil change! Do it yourself, do not trust these kids. Didn't have to pay for the oil top off that will probably just drain out and they didn't cover me for the oil I had to buy for the problem they caused. read more

They are fast, courteous, tell you what you need other than what you asked for, but gives you no pressure to purchase anything extra.

Oil plug was finger tight after I was at Brighton location. Found it after getting home and checking oil level, oil leaked out onto pan and under carriage. Quart low, tightened plug myself and added oil. I retuned for next oil change believing that it was overlooked first time but, then when I had my mechanic do some repairs. He found the plug rounded over and the plug was torqued down so much that he used vise grips to remove it and replace the plug. He said you were lucky they didn't split the pan. When I confronted them later that week, they used excuses saying the mechanic must have done it or you could have by mistake. Hello, finger tight then tighten down by hand. I've changed my oil many times and never had these issues. I have not retuned there since. read more

I have been a regular customer, and they normally do a decent enough job. But after visiting today, I will no longer be patronizing this business. After arriving and waiting in line, I was directed to the next bay that would finish. The vehicle behind me came and was pulled behind the customer who just pulled in. I was then told to switch bays because the customer behind me was going to get a tire rotation., meaning I would have to wait the entire time for the customer in front of me to have their service done. Fine, you still get your service with the upcharge for the tire rotation, but you aren't getting mine any longer or in the future. read more

We stopped in and got there 10 minutes before they opened. A girl came out and explained to us that they opened in ten minutes. When they opened, they were extremely friendly, professional, polite, in servicing our car. They went beyond in helping us and wished us a good day. As with most cars these days, mine has a belly pan under the engine compartment, which improves the car's aerodynamics and therefore fuel economy. 10 fasteners hold it in place, and all are easy to remove and reinstall. These guys left out half of them!!!!! They also left the oil drain plug under-tightened - barely more than finger tight. Oil therefore seeped / leaked out. Normally I do my own oil changes. I only went there because I had a broken bone in my hand and couldn't do it myself. I'll never, ever go back. read more

I used to come here all the time for service when I lived in the area, and once upon a time even worked here. Always brought my own oil and filter as well (Mobile 1 is all I use). I was in the area and decided to get the oil changed and tires rotated with my usual own oil and filter and they said they couldn't do it with my oil and filter because they couldn't warranty the work. As someone that used to run this place I can't even begin to understand how that makes any sense. I would have still gone through with the service except for the fact that all they carry is no name synthetic oils. After I told them I was going to pass and to close my hood back up, instead of popping the latch and lifting my hood then closing it the guy just kept slamming my hood with his palms to close it. I have had my oil changed hundreds of times here. Only one time did they mess up. And they immediately took care of it. See, it's not how great a place is...everyone messes up. It's how they handle the mess up. Anyway, I asked the manager how they make service suggestions, and he showed me the computer program that they use. It follows the recommended service for your specific vehicle as mandated by your owners manual. So they're not trying to sell you a bunch of crap you don't need. I have stuck with the recommended service from my owner's manual and currently have well over 260,000 miles on my vehicle. The shop is clean and fast with the service. They do a nice job. read more

I'm Very pissed off my daughter went for oil change and they talked her into the most expensive one for $60. Then told her she needed an engine flush very dishonest a total of $130. The workers were very friendly and nice but later to find out my power steering was acting weird. My fluid was overfilled and trans oil was used instead of actual fluid(Oil changes come with fluid top off). I siphoned out the fluid and it was horribly dark. I am aware that trans fluid can be used, but if they had no power steering fluid, I would have been content with no fluid added at all. I had to end up buying power steering conditioner to save my system. After spending $80 I had to spend another $20 for the conditioner fluid. Will not return and I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I hate giving bad reviews but this is quite ridiculous! read more

Update! So I gave feedback to the company website. Some VP contacted me begging to give them another try and sent me a code for a free oil change. I went there about 10:30 am. As I drove in the manager Clem said hold on and walked outside and started talking on his phone. Clem told me that the VP must be there to validate the free oil change. I waited for about five minutes and said never mind. Clem had the other worker block the exit door for several minutes and they would not let me out. Clem was running his mouth the entire time and I was trapped! Clem yelled at me stating "Sir, have you been drinking?" This was at 10:30 am and I am a RN that just got done working several long shifts. The guy standing in front of the door blocking me inside informed Clem that the smell was from him applying hand sanitizer. Totally rude and uncalled for. Finally they let me go. I will never go back to that damn place. There are several places around town providing free oil changes to healthcare workers and these rude people wanted $40 for a simple oil change and they failed at that! I do not recommend Victory Oil Change. PS, do not fall for the fake rebuttal reviews or the new positive reviews. Likely, they are fake. read more

I just sat outside for 5 minutes waiting for someone to open the door, only one bay was full and I got ignored and ended up having to turn around and leave. The staff here are so helpful and polite! Its nice to go to a place like this that still values and ensures professionalism in their techs, I have never had a bad experience or dealt with anyone who wasn't over-the-top friendly and polite. They also do a great job, offer lots of courtesy services, and follow a protocol that makes sure the driver knows whats going on and being checked even when they cant see what the techs are doing. I used to go to Conley Auto, but after being wronged there several times will never go back. This place is just down the road and has such better service. read more

What a scam! My young son,(who had no clue what it should cost), went to Victory Lane in Brighton. They charged him $80 for an oil change. When he told me I called and spoke with management. I told him that it was ridiculous, that there's no way anybody should be charged that much for an oil change and they should give him some of his money back. He refused, trying to give all these excuses why they charged him that. None of them credible. I think they saw a young naive kid come in and they took advantage of him. It's tottaly disgusting!!!! I stopped going there after using them for years. In the days of identity theft they collect way too much information to do a simple oil change. They insist on getting your full name, address, E-mail, credit card and they scan your vehicles vin number. I don't see any good reason for insisting on that much personal information and see it as an unneeded financial catastrophe waiting to happen. The constant stories about identity theft from customer information being hacked remind me of the dangers of giving too much personal information, especially when it is not needed. read more
