This is my go to place for a wax. Vivian is the best! I definitely need to try the foot massages! :)

So I hadn't been to VidaSpa since last year and since that time I guess they changed management....I think I remember the new owner as having been there under the previous mgmt but all she did was wax. So, I recently moved back into town and decided to stop by....my experience was anything but relaxing!! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately jumped on by this older lady asking if I was there to get my eyebrows threaded....umm...no! She didn't even give me a chance to say what I wanted and just assumed I was there for her!! I was already stressed out and tired and she just annoyed me right off the bat! She was so damn pushy and kept asking if I had ever tried it, which I told her yes- but that I didn't like it bc it freaking hurt..which she replied that it didn't hurt and I should try it again. Who are you to tell me it doesn't hurt when I tell you it hurts?! I felt like she was telling me I was lying to her. Then she was standing next to me while i talked to the receptionist....ever heard of personal space?! annoyance #1... Plus my friend (who actually comes here a lot and was the one who initially reminded me of this place) actually got talked into doing it a while back and she said it was a bad job. Chueco anyone?! She said she looked surprised for a good week before they were somewhat decent. This same friend also told me that she was incredibly pushy as well (this was after my visit and my venting to her)! I then decided to try and relax...no biggie....I was there to pamper myself but the lady I got was awful!!! I think her name was Kim- let me just say OMG!!! She's like this crazy old chick- who kept talking to me about her problems the entire time! I have enough problems that I don't really want to hear about yours! It was horrendous!!!! The massage was terrible and I just felt gross afterwards. I then had to cut and file my own toe!!!!! She kept doing it sideways and I finally just told her to let me do it. Ugh. I just didn't think she knew what she was doing and was let's not get me started on the polish! MESSY! It was probably because she was new to the salon and probably wasn't used to such a high scale place, which she told me herself! I was so upset that I didn't want the manicure anymore and just wanted to pay and leave...until I saw two familiar faces from my previous time! I didn't remember their names otherwise I wouldve asked for them from the beginning! Sue ended up doing my manicure- thank goodness! She was good. Then the super chill receptionist brought me wine which relaxed me a little....after three glasses. The owner then came over and apologized about my pedicure...at this point in time I was infuriated with my pedicure that I had somewhat forgotten about the annoying threading lady so I didn't say anything. That IS until I was paying and the receptionist was apologizing for my experience and telling me that the next time I'd get someone way better. The threading lady then came over and was just hanging out next to me...like RIGHT next to me while I talked to the receptionist about my friend. All in all, that experience was not the best but it was somewhat saved by everyone BUT the pedicurist and threading lady. I'm definitely willing to give it another shot in the future as long as I don't get those two people near me! read more

I have been going here for at least one year and I have no complaints about the employees there they do what they are asked to do and use common sense for the most part. The owner Vivian is pushy. On Mother's day, I decided to go and get a new set of gel nails. Since it was a busy day the owner Vivian attended me. She has no people skills to begin with. Then she follows on to file my own natural nails. Hello Lady, give me a break, really??? What happen to using common sense now a days. I go in there with long natural nails and ask for gel nails. Really Vivian your going to file my natural nails down to my skin! Seriously, how does that make any sense??? People go in to nail salon's to get nails because they want long nails and all I needed (OBVIOUSLY) was a bit of filing and Vivian (the owner) files them all the way to my skin. WTF????? SHE RUINED MY NAILS. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WHERE IS YOUR DAMN COMMON SENSE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ETIQUETTE??? Wouldn't you think that you would look at the size and shape of the nails and use that as guide rather than ruining them and not being able to do anything about that. I am so disappointed not to mention that my nails are ruined until they grow back! Do not recommend going to this place. If you do go make sure Vivian the owner does not attend you. read more

I've been here a few times, unfortunately the last two times were really bad. I took my daughter to have her acrylic nails removed and she ended up having 5 girls hovering over her because no one could figure out how to remove them. She was so upset. Then after an hour one girl got must of the acrylic off and gave my daugther a horrible manicure, her nails were filed unevenly and polish was on her skin - we were very disappointed. My daughter asked for the manager and complained and they didn't charge her for the job. This last time I went I took my husband and we both requested 30 minute massages..well we got a 1 hour massage instead - my husband spoke to the manager and asked why we were getting charge extra after we specifically asked for 30 minutes!! There is a language barrier that exists there the workers don't understand you because English is NOT there first language. When I go to a spa I don't take my stop watch with me I go there to relax, it's their job to monitor the services requested and rendered. I will not go back. So what can I say? ... Just like when it comes to Mexican food, as long as it tastes good and the place is clean you'll see a decent review... The same goes for this nail salon. Most nail salons will try to milk the client for as many services they can get in your visit, and see as many clients as possible in a day... I've been going to nail salons for a loooong time now and it's the same scenario in each one. I've done walk-ins and appointments and nothing has changed in my experience. So unless you're going to some fancy schmansy salon and paying 30+ for a manicure only, I'm not expecting anything else than regular nail shop service with take your chance technicians, and "it's a shot" nail polish that is bound to chip after the 1st day! Sooooo, I normally don't pay for manicures because they NEVER last!! This place was nice, it was close to closing but I called ahead and they took me in for a spa pedicure about 30 min before closing. The girl who did my toes was nice, and she did a good job. She may have been in a hurry, but if I was working and close to going home and got a last minute client I would be trying to speed it up too! She still took her time and when I asked for a 15 min massage she didn't short change me! Got my full 15!! I'll go back again because it's a nice spot, and she didn't cut my toes!! The receptionist, I think her name was Jessica was not snobby, she smiled and seemed chill. So that's another plus for their friendly environment!! read more
