Not gonna lie. Had a bad experience, or two, many many years ago at Video Only in another city, and basically haven't set foot in one in 20+ years. But I really had the urge to get a new TV, and I'd done my homework and shopping I had a decent grasp of the competing technologies, new pricing at Amazon and Costco. I went in, figuring they could discuss the technology side with expertise. The salesman listened to my basic wants, said there was only one choice for me. It was a 65" Samsung OLED. Essentially top technology, top brand. And the price was truly amazing. I scheduled delivery later in the week, and went on line. Every, and I mean every, review from. The web sites to top Consumer magazines had this exact model at the very top of its lists for main stream sets, and all had it priced $2-500 more than I paid. Hello again, In a previous statement, I prematurely wrote about the positive experience that I had at Video Only in Union City. This is a retraction and amendment to my previous statement: My positive experience was based on a single transaction. While the person that I referred to in my original statement was effective in completing the sale to me, his evasive attitude, misleading statements, and his lack of communication was an exhibition of flawed character behavior, and poor customer service. In fact, I have since cancelled my previous transactions at Video Only in Union City. I have asked for a return of all my money, and according to the store manager, that is pending. I want to make sure that my initial praise of this previously mentioned salesperson is not misinterpreted as an endorsement of his overall conduct. We just want to share our appreciation for Crystal and Jason's incomparable and world class customer relations skills. They are very knowledgeable, patient and very professional. Crystal smoothly walked us through the purchase and the credit process. She also mentioned other services and products that we might need And we ended up purchasing them as well. I always do thorough research to find the best prices, and I can confidently say I just bought the LG 65-Inch C5 OLED for the lowest price anywhere! Just $1399 for the 2025 model. For comparison, it's $1699 at best buy. The crazy part? I didn't even know this store was here in Union City until today. It's almost hidden in plain sight ...no online presence and barely any signage. For months I drove past assuming it was a DVD store. Honestly, if you guys put up a clear sign that says what you actually do (like "Best Deals on TVs"), I think a lot more people would come in. This place is a hidden gem. read more

This Union City store is actually a new location for Video Only, their old location was in Hayward on Hesperian Blvd, I remember feeling bad that they closed. But that was then, i am so glad that they re- opened in Union City. Near the Walmart, with loads of parking space available. I never buy Tv's, sound systems online. Unless I have physically seen the item up close and personal first. Today the wife and I were looking for a wall mounted sound bar for our flat screen tv. There where many different sound bars to choose from and we wanted to find the right one to fit our audio needs..... Enter Video Only Associate Nicholas aka. Nico who gave us a tour of the Sound Bar section. He showed us the ins and outs, the ups and downs, the hills and the valleys. But soon, we came across this mountain and that mountain was a Sonos sound bar WIFI system. He demonstrated the ease of operation via cell phone control as well as the audio range. For an extra kick we added a sub woofer. He explained the price match guarantee. There after we were sold. They do have almost everything under the sun here and you can take your time looking around. Husband and I came here a week ago in search of a new tv. We honestly passed by this store so many times thinking that they sold movies or something. We were wrong. They sell televisions and other accessories for them, like sound bars, etc. We were lucky enough to talk to both Reggie and Dominic. Both provided us with exceptional service - they both spent time with us really answering all of our questions and giving us the time to play around with the television and between two sound bars we were considering. Overall, the staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Also, who can beat one to one customer service. We ended up getting a great deal on an LG television and a Somos sound bar. I don't trust buying a 77" Samsung TV through the internet, as the potential for shipping damage and returns are problematic at best. I went to Costco where you need to do all the research as there is no one there to answer questions. Best Buy has a good selection and helpful, but I then made my way to Video Only where I got the full package. Service, technical expertise, installation, turnkey system, mounting bracket, delivery, installation, new receiver, 5 year warranty, and the best price locally for a 77" Samsung TV. TV worked less than 2 months and went totally dead. Video Only deserves 10 stars because they at no charge swapped out the dead TV with a brand new one, covered installation cost, and return of the old TV. Now thats service! Buy at Video Only without reservation (ask for Anthony) for your next home theatre. Our twelve year old Samsung died recently and I decided to upgrade to an OLED TV. Best Buy in Union City had the model I wanted in stock, but my local store (San Carlos) did not. So I drove over the bridge to get the set I wanted. When I got to Best Buy I stood around in the TV section waiting to be helped. Twice I tried to get the attention of their associates but was largely ignored. I was ignored for half an hour. With all of that time on my hands, I realized that Video Only also had a store in Union City, and while standing in the Best Buy I called them. I was transferred right away to the manager, Reggie, who was able to confirm to me that he had the unit I wanted in stock. The store is only 200 yards away from Best Buy, and within 5 minutes I had the TV, paid for it, and had some help loading it on my car and was on my way. And the price was $200 less than Best Buy and cheaper than any I could find online. This is definitely an old school business, very simple. This was super helpful. I initially bought the 65" LG OLED C2. He had the best pricing as compared to any retailer. 15 days later I came back to exchange it for a 77" TV. The whole exchange process was also super smooth and I had my new TV in a few minutes. Look for the dandy fedora-wearing salesman or the cool, calm and convincing sales manager! Bought a klipsh home theater system and a 65in tv here. Frank and Anthony gave us really great prices beyond sale price and amazing service. They are very charismatic so you have to match their charisma if you want to get some freebies. They could also do special orders so planning to maybe order some Revels or Arendals. Also, if you building a pc, I spotted some monitors that are great.
