When I need to use a different paper type I always ask and they sell me a sheet of card stock yet today the lady at the print station spoke to me with attitude and said I needed to buy a whole pack of card stock to use it at the print machine for a 30 cent print lmao. I've purchases items in store, and as well pre ordering online for pick up. All items in store or online purchased had been order intended for self personal usages for home office only. I had not made purchased for give away or for authorized of another's taking online orders I have traveled to Office Depot store myself using my own personal transporation as all prior online order had been of self pick up only as I had not been accompanied of any other person along with me during order pick up. Sooner or later your inkjet printer will run out of ink and all your #2 pencils will be nubs. That same day you'll be working on some very important documents that need to be stapled together, but you ran out of staples. That's the day you will pull up outside and walk-in. This is the reason you need to stop looking for office supplies at Walgreens! Office Depot always seems to be well stocked. Went looking for a 2022 calendar and a paper shredder. Calendars were on sale I suppose since its already past the time most normal people get their 2022 calendars. Easy to find in the main aisle I suppose to grab people's attention as an impulse purchase. Paper shredder choice was abundant. Super low price ones all the to the best quality - the Grand Mac Daddy one that features a bull dog. Yes a tan bulldog with some floppy ears and a newspaper in his mouth. Chomp chomp chomp. Yeahhh I know the type. Abundant hand sanitizer as you enter for just pennies - overstock. I didn't want any - I thought we would leave hand sanitizer back in 2021. Nobody needs that anymore - bars are packed life goes on. I think you should be fine as long as you don't get those booster shots like Betty White did. A paper calendar is a stone age sort of thing. But I think its still useful for putting on your front door. Leave little love notes for roommates. Circle all the street sweeping days. Put some little doggie paws on there - whatever. Big open store. Very few people inside. I feel like all these huge stores should open little 7/11s inside or something. Make better use of the space. Maybe add a Krispy Krunchy Chicken somewhere in there. read more

I had THE best customer service 2 days in a row at Office Depot. The first day I waited an hour and watched the sweet lady Linda in the printing department greet and help each and every person. She said she'd call me with a quote and she did!! The next day I went in for more help and she was closing and recognized me at helped me still! She helped me save money with different options. Now to top it off she told me my order would be ready Saturday and she called me 3 hours later that my order was completed!!!!!!!! Now that is customer service! First time going to this location. Went to the copy area and saw they were "closed" for today due to short staff. However there were helpful workers behind the desk doing what they can to help out despite people still asking for copy services. They warned incoming customers that there will be a wait so they were welcomed to use the self serve copiers. The employee who helped me out gave me a card to email my prints I needed to print despite them being closed for the day. Such helpful staff. They worked with what they had and got me my prints in good time with good pricing. Some customers came in hot and heavy and impatient but that was not the employees fault. Overall the staff at this location was nice. I will be back. Thank you for all your help. read more

Walked in when nobody in store, employee saw me waiting completely ignored me. Older lady was busy working on something else. I didn't sign my name assuming the employee would take me next . The older lady comes to the paper doesn't acknowledge me as I'm standing on the desk first in line calls the girl behind me just because she read her name( not her fault), I get we have to sign our names but the male could have told her I've been waiting for 30 minutes and before the other person, instead he signs off the computer looks at me smirks, rolls eyes and walks away Now I'm waiting over and hour and a half for lamination for papers I printed before the other people walked in. Horrible service slow staff. Shouldn't take almost 2 hours for lamination I printed my papers at 1:35pm I was complete and finished at 3pm. In the end the lady was very sweet and did her job but the male needs to be trained on customer service and people skills. read more

Sent an online order to this location for their printing services and was definitely pleased with the product quality as well as the customer service we received here. Even before we came to pick up the order, we ran into hiccups, that were admittingly our own fault. We were able to call and pause our order (as they had not started yet) and send them an updated file for them to print off of. Both women who were servicing the Copy & Print Center were so kind, understanding, and helpful. When we came to pick up our order they helped us find it on the shelf. When my sister and I realized we wanted to make changes to our order (we ordered programs that the printer folded automatically, however, since we decided to use regular printer paper and printed on both sides...it didn't look as professional as you could see the words/pictures on the other side pretty well). This is no fault to Office Depot or their employees, but us not realizing we should've ordered it on thicker paper! Note, as the employees may warn you - if you do choose to print on thicker paper you will need to fold them yourself. This is because the printer cannot fold those for you. Not a big deal, but figured it might matter to someone! :) To get the programs reprinted we were lucky that they still had our updated file in their system. We did have to pay again, but honestly, we didn't mind at all and the finished product was great. My review isn't for the store itself, but the Print and Copy Center! I wish I remembered their names, but my mind is a blur. Just wanted to say you definitely made this process easy and we appreciated your kindness, patience, and honesty. 6/24/24, Went in to purchase a printer today, just needed something simple to just print in black & white since I don't print much. Was in the printer isle for 20 mins without anyone coming to me to see if I needed any assistance. Walked around and couldn't find any employees around. Finally ran into one and she was so clueless on anything, asked her about the printers and she just pointed to the front counter, didn't say she to me. If you can't speak basic ass English maybe you shouldn't be working there. Ended up just walking out. It's all about customer service to me, if that's not there then I don't want to support your business. There are many other places to buy printers from. read more

Went to Walgreens down the street which has the same Fedex shipping service as Office depot but was hoping to get some last second help in printing a prepaid label from Fedex Because it was a time sensitive shipment and the package needed to get out at a certain time. Kevin helped me with prepare the shipment, print the label, and set me up with everything I needed to package my item. I had never been to this store before but will come back again just for the exceptional customer service. Above and beyond my expectations for what I think should be expected at a retail store. A few months ago I would've given the store one star but because of the the general manager I will give the store three stars. He has since changed my opinions about this particular location. Originally because of the assistant manager I had a horrible perspective of this place as well as another associate who was highly unhelpful and unprofessional. Wow this place is amazing. So my review is only for the print, copy etc section of the store. First of all I dealt with Shania. So so well organized, it was prompt service and I loved the outcome. I have my prints, resized and printed and cut for my gallery wall. It was an amazing response and done in a timely manner. I am so excited to hang my prints. Will update with pictures but yeah If you want shredding, printing, copy done in a timely and well priced manner use this spot. The Copy & Print Center (the lady) Situation: i had ordered a booklet online and when i came to pick it up, the formatted was SUPER wonky. Outstanding customer service: this lady ( i wish i got her name) not only spent SO much time helping me re-format, but she gave me the book/labor free and only charged for the binding ($4!) when the book was $32. She made me from a very frustrated, angry customer ( i was even going to leave a 1 star rating) to a SUPER happy customer. I ordered some items online the day before and had received an email that my items are ready for pick up. Since I don't live near here, I decided to come the next day to pick them up. As soon as I walked in, I looked around a bit before locating the pick up section for online orders. Since it was my first time there, I didn't know what to do. I just kept looking around to see if I can find my order. A few minutes later, an employee walked up to me and asked if I needed help. I told her that I was there to pick up an order that I had placed online the day before. She asked me for my name and what I had ordered. After I answered her questions, she immediately knew where my items were. She then took me to a register and had me sign a form stating that I had picked up my item. From the moment I walked in and until I walked out, it didn't take more than 5 minutes. read more

Think twice about purchasing a computer from the Office Depot store on Hesperian Blvd. in Hayward. I bought a new Lenovo laptop from that store in November of 2021, and in the last few weeks have had some problems with the Windows 11 program installation in it as well as mechanical problems with the on/off button. When I asked the current manager about these problems, and about the fact that I had bought a service protection plan with my laptop, she could neither find a record of it or of my purchase. As a matter of fact, it seems like all of the senior tech people at this store have either moved on or were removed. The manager did say she would get their "tech apprentice" to look at my laptop, which doesn't fill me with much confidence that the problem will be fixed. This Office Depot store seems to be in flux at the very least, and I wouldn't buy anything of value from them since they apparently won't honor their own service agreement, and can't even find records of purchases that were made from their store just a few months ago. read more

There in-store customer service representatives are well trained and make themselves available to customers for directions to and prices of products being sought after. Their Store Brand ink is good and they are knowledgeable in this area as well. The copy and binding services are great and provided at a competitive price. Came here on a Thursday around 2:30pm to get a project printed and laminated - I was very mistaken thinking that this would be a quick job. Context: I recently moved home from Oregon and got this exact project printed and laminated at an Office Depot in Portland (not important but for all my physical therapist friends out there - it's a reformatted version of the Peabody pediatric assessment tool haha get nerdy with me pls) When I got it done in Portland, it literally took 7 mins, and the printing services printed and laminated my entire order (it's like 7 colored pages front and back) all in front of me and had amazing customer service - I remembered that experience so vividly that this experience at this Office Depot made me really sad. Pros: - there's self-help printers where you can plug in a USB or email it to a set email and swipe your credit card and it'll print out just fine - this is ideal if you have SIMPLE print jobs (like all one sided stuff, or a mass pack of the same copies) - lamination services are available in various thicknesses All of these pros above are not even really PROS - they're just an objective description of the services this place promises... CONS: - The sign at the desk of the printing area has an email you're supposed to send stuff to if you want it printed -IT'S WRONG (why is it even up...) - the staff directed me to the self printer with a different sign with the correct email - I agreed to use the self-printer because the line for print jobs from staff was super long, but then regrettably the self-help printer doesn't apply your coupons/discounts you have - The staff will not cut stuff for you - use the self-help paper cutter available (I waited in line for like 20 mins because I wanted them to cut it for me because I don't trust my own hands and tend to cut slanted - but they basically said no and made me cut it on my own - sorry if I'm being a princess) - I waited in line again for 20 mins (they didn't let me get back to the front even though I told them the first time I lined up exactly what I needed to get laminated) - Finally got to the front of the line, where they made me place my own stuff into the lamination materials (which is totally okay, but if you were going to make me wait in line all over again, couldn't you have handed me the lamination stuff in the beginning and I could've just stood to the side placing it myself???) I think they're severely understaffed. I felt really bad because the one guy I ended up actually having laminate my stuff after I set it all up seems to really know what he's doing - but was so busy because the other lady wasn't really helping (that other lady was super grouchy too omg) Be prepared to come wait a super long time unless you have a really easy print job you can do on your own at the self-help printer It was crazy because even people who were here just to pick up stuff that had already been printed had to wait forever read more

Despite the bad reviews, I had a good experience this morning...possibly it depends on the time of day you get there. I arrived as they opened...i asked if they had a specific ink cartridge to which the salesperson walked me over to the overwhelming wall of different cartridges. She didn't leave me to have me figure it out but showed me the options that would work with my friends printer. Kudos to knowing their product!
