I've been dabbling in film photography for years now, but the service at Photoworks here in SF has…read morereally discouraged me from trusting other parties to develop my film; film that, as you know, is quite pricey to keep up with. I have resorted to squirreling away my many rolls of film (some of which are needed urgently) and driving all the way to my hometown two hours away to get them developed. Photoworks has completely altered the quality of my photos every time I come to them. (Note: I do return to places I hadn't had a good time at just to make sure it's not me, and to say I tried.) I've attached some examples of HALF a really important roll that turned out awfully. I took the same roll to another developer and they told me there was no issue with the roll or light exposure, and that Photoworks did cause the issue, not the camera. They also stopped communicating with me via phone when my scans would be ready and when the film is ready, which they always used to do before. Also, I used Harman Red (which should come out orangey) and they returned the scans almost purple in color. Just the little things I have to go back over that would have saved me time if the developing had come out right in the first place. Sorry to say! Just my two cents. Also...the prices are extremely high. I'm sorry...$25+ for scanning and developing one roll??? I pay half that at another spot! For the price, I should be getting what I pay for.

They are the only store I've ever seen that stocks 620 film. Next the service is always kind and helpful, they guys there are always willing to help. Finally, they are very willing to honor their return policies. I bought a 24-85 af lens from them, and obtained less than satisfactory results. They were more than willing to give me a full refund.
