My appointment was at 7, they did not start my nails till close to 7:30. My appointment ended an hour later with very sloppy and thick nails. Huge chunks of acrylic left under my nails, polish pooling in the corners, and chunky polish edges at my cuticles. Not worth what I paid and now I will be going somewhere else tomorrow to get them fixed. The west Valley's architectural geography is comprised of little strip malls with an anchor store (usually a grocery store), a nail salon, and pay day loan center. Nail salons are a dime a dozen, and they all offer pretty much the same services. Even though Vien nails appears to fit the standard mold they are so much better. A typical French pedicure lasts about two weeks. And really only one before you have to pull out the ol' Sally Hansen touch up kit. However, I can go three weeks or longer with a pedicure from Vien. It takes them about an hour to complete the process because they massage your legs with lotion and do the hot stones. All of this is standard procedure as well. The staff is so nice, and they even remember you after a while too. They are all very skilled at their jobs. I also love that they provide damn near every magazine known to mankind, and they have a flat screen for movies. I've been going to Vien for quite some time and it's the best place for a pedicure in northern Phoenix. The staff is quiet, respectful, and clean. They have a TON of colors to choose from and will do designs and details for a minimal cost. They are professional, and their massage chairs work wonders to relax me. They do a great job on the pedicures by massaging your feet and legs. I always come out of there feeling rejuvenated and relaxed - plus my pedicure lasts up to three weeks! It's not the "fanciest" place to go to, but you get more than you pay for (and it's worth it!). read more

Vien is amazing, the technicians go above and beyond!! My nail tech was a guy I didn't get his name but he was a real perfectionist. He took his time on my nails and did a great job, I couldn't of asked for a better tech. When I walked in I was greeted right away, there was a bit of a wait time about 20 minutes. I can't complain because when,it was my turn my tech listened and did exactly what I asked for and when I didn't like the design he would do it over to make sure I got what I wanted. This place is great and you absolutely cannot beat the prices!!! I got 2 acryllic colors and a gel base with a simple design and it was on $50 including a $10 tip. I've been to a lot of nails salons and they all seem the same to me. I walk in and someone asks what I want done and then I sit and wait. Usually for me it's quiet the whole time and I feel awkward but I really like this place! Everyone who works there is super nice, they're also gentle with my nails and they have TVs that play new movies and you can choose the movies if you want. I went on a whim and was able to be seated right away! I was lucky enough to get Trish who was wonderful. She gave me a very good Pedi and I got some designs on all my toes as well as a relaxing gel Mani and it was only like $45 plus tip! Crazy low prices for getting a french on your piggies and a Shellac manicure. Will for sure be going again and hopefully will get Trish- next time will try their eyebrow waxing as well. Update: Went on 8/14/2011 (went to another place in between) I was proactive and called and asked for an appointment with Trish again because she was so great and I liked her personality. So when I get there I sign in and don't see her but someone else seats me and this is okay too. Then the other girl proceeds to start servicing me; so I rightfully assume that Trish wasn't there today but wished they would have just told me that when I called and spoke to TWO people! She was good as well and nice and even finally acknowledged that Trish was not there and she doesn't work every weekend. Which is again fine but just tell me that. Her name was Kristi and she was good as well and everything was still reasonably priced. I paid $51 for a Gel Manicure with French and Spa Pedicure with Crackle Polish. I would go again for sure. *Note about parking usually hard to find since next to Coldstone and in a very busy parking area/ lot but it is worth it. read more

5 stars definately! The people are great they take their time! They are extremely nice and even funny! I have never felt so comfortable in a nail shop ever! The one downside is that they can be a little slow it took almost 3hrs to get a full set and a pedicure! In the end it was worth it! I will be back! read more

Looked this place up before making appointment, April did a great job. I had to wait a while even with an appointment but they apologized and serviced me and my daughter to our satisfaction. Their hot stone massage was great and you get a full foot and calf massage as part of the $20. Great price, good service. OAN: It was a little dusty in there. They may want to look into remodeling, but not if that is going to increase the prices. ;-) read more

Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience here. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure. There's a lot of color choices. My technician was wonderful and did a great job! I was in and out quickly. My issue is, they don't make their customers wear a mask. So therefore, for my safety, the safety of my 91 year old grandmother that I care for, and for the safety of my husband to be able to keep and perform well at his job, I will not be returning to this business. The shop owner did not refuse service to the woman refusing to wear a mask, so I'll have to find another business to support. read more

They seem to always have the new OPI colors right out in front. **LIKE** The staff can be pretty iffy at times. I have a big pet peeve when people answer their phones while working on me. It's rude. Love this place! I've gotten pedicures here before and I've gotta say they do a great job at all they do. Today I got acrylic nails for my friends wedding this weekend. I showed Andy exactly what I wanted off of Pinterest. They didn't have the exact color I wanted but Andy was able to combine two colors to make the perfect match. Went on a Saturday and was informed I needed an appointment. Made an appointment for Sunday at 2:00pm. I arrived promptly at 2:00 pm and now at 2:51 pm decide to walk out because I was STILL not being helped. The guys there were just flirting with a. Couple girls and the one of the ladies seemed to be the only one to acknowledge and care that I was waiting. What's the point of an appointment? I've been coming here to get my nails done for a while now and I've been satisfied every time! I mostly just walk-in and they always seem to find a way to squeeze me in. All the employees here are really nice and it doesn't feel like a fake or forced conversation with them while getting your services done. They have done acrylics for me on many occasions, which I have been very satisfied with and received many compliments on how natural they look. I also get pedicures here and it's amazing! The foot massage is my favorite and most of the reason why I get a pedicure in the first place! The hot rocks are nice also but sometimes they can be a bit too hot,ouch! I've also tried a few other salons in the area to see if anything else is better but I've found nothing else that compares. Plus the prices are great, and they are pretty good about not sneaking in services that are $10 extra without you even realizing it like some places. =/ My nail lady even put on a finishing coat over my acrylics to help from yellowing and to make them shiny which is normally $5 extra but I told her I would pass because I didn't have the extra cash seeing as how it was for Prom but she said she wouldn't charge me and went ahead and did it! Meh... The leather is torn and ripped on the chairs. I'm not sure how sanitary things were as I saw the same tools being used. The my had a video playing so loudly that it was not at all relaxing. Kids were running everywhere. THEIR kids. The woman doing my manicure cut my nails off without asking the length I wanted! They were all so short and when I mentioned that she said well we have to make hem even now! Really!? You didn't even ask before you started chopping. She was completely disinterested in what she was doing and frequently turned around to watch the extremely loud movie that was playing behind her. It felt rushed and hurried, obviously the end of her day. The pedicure was less than stellar. The standard comes with a hot stone, but no one offered a menu. I usually like a paragon wax, but seeing the sanitary standards and the stained washcloths they used for my feet I didn't bother to ask. The massage was nice and the French finish was meticulous, and since I was only cut once, I guess I can't complain.. Oh no wait, yes I can! He cut me!! It wasn't serious, and obviously an accident, but still not professional. Most nail places smell a little, by this place REEKED! I almost left as soon as I walked in, and in retrospect I should have! I will not be back as I was severely disappointed on almost every point! read more

I had high hopes for this place had many reviews and higher than average scores. Got there 15 mins after opening and was crowded...good sign! Made an appointment for an hour and a half later. Came back for appointment sat waiting for 30 plus minutes before I was helped.. again forgivable. I have gel on my toes and instead of soaking off as recommended she attempted to just peel off with clippers. When I asked she had no idea what I was talking about.
