While the salon isn't extremely dirty, there are noticeable cleanliness and clutter issues throughout that are hard to ignore. The walls, equipment, and work areas often look messy and not well maintained, which takes away from the overall experience. It was also concerning to see employees leaving snacks and drinks around the salon while customers were getting services done. That's not appropriate in a place where hygiene should be a priority. I had been going here for about a year for dip powder nails, but over time my nail beds became very damaged. On my last visit, I decided to switch back to a regular manicure instead. The technician clearly wasn't happy about it because it's much cheaper, and her attitude changed immediately. She became grumpy and unprofessional, which made the experience very uncomfortable. The staff can be friendly, so if you are looking for a budget friendly salon, this place is not too bad. i will not be returning to this nail salon. I went in for a basic mani/pedi, regular polish. everything was going well until the polish was on. the polish was thick and kind of streaky on both hands and feet. I NEVER complain at the time of service, I just usually just go home and live with it. I specifically went in to get my toes done because I am having a procedure on my foot on Monday and I wanted my feet to look good. anyway, I spoke with the lady who was in charge, I showed her my nails and I told her I thought they did not look good. She agreed and said that the lady who did my nails isn't the greatest with polishing. I explained that I was very embarrassed even mentioning that i was not happy, and that maybe I should come back on a different day to correct the polish. she insisted that I stay and have both hands and feet repolished. I was happy to sit for a few to have it all redone. well, the second round of polishing was better, but really still did not look great (like they had been polished by a professional). This time I just looked at them, I left. Or, should I say that I was literally shooed out of the store. The lady who repolished was shooing me out, while the lady in charge was saying "you can go if you want". Ugh!! With so many nail salons around, I won't be returning. This is my friend's go to spot for fills and pedicures. The salon's appearance is deceiving; looks small but is long like a galley kitchen. There were approximately 10-12 pedicure chairs. The table seating for nail services had approximately 15 chairs. My friend was taken on time for our 12:30 appointments. Unfortunately, I had to wait almost 20 minutes. The salon is modern with great lighting, sometimes salons can be a little cavey and dark. The staff are friendly. There are quite a few polish options. Went in today for a removal service on my Gel X nails. It started off good but quickly flipped when she started with the removal process. I believe I was with Linda. That was the name on my receipt. When we sat down I told her I had a couple lifting but there was no damage to them. She went to grab an acrylic tip to slide under the Gel X tip, I stopped her and said I don't want them pulled off. Id prefer them soaked off due to my natural nails being thinner. She said okay and put it away. WELL fast forward 5 minutes and she was drilling down the nails as normal and decided to go against what I asked and said "only one, only one" grabbed a tip and slid it under my nail. Of course exactly what I didn't want to happen, happened. She ripped my natural nail, which hurt really bad and caused me to bleed then proceeded to say " not me! Not me" while pointing at my nail. I told her that this is exactly why I didn't want her to do that and she didn't say anything. She did offer to GLUE MY NATURAL NAIL. I left extremely upset, without an apology, and devastated since I go on vacation in 3 days and probably won't be able to get them done now. On top of all this she still didn't get all the acrylic off. Very disappointing experience and probably won't ever go back. read more

I was torn between a 3 and 4 star. I keep going back to this place to try to find my new nail tech after moving to the area since I live so close to this salon. I have tried 3 different people now, and the last time I went was by far the worst. Lisa did my nails and they are so bad. Very uneven. Horrible shape. Was really hoping this would be my new nail salon. I also don't love that they won't do your nails and pedicure at the same time, so if you want both services, plan to be there for multiple hours. I've been going to HV Nails for 4+ years , pretty much since I moved here. They are so affordable and great quality. I have my preferred tech, Chau and she gives the absolute best pedicure you have ever had! But all of the techs are great, truly. I lived in Arcadia before moving to Norterra and used to pay double for what I get at HV and the quality is better here. They don't have TVs, which I didn't love at first, but it makes you talk more with everyone in the spa and gives a community feel. They just got all new pedi chairs too, the massagers are great. So thankful for this nail salon and the wonderful ladies who work here! My sister called the day before and made us a last minute appointment for three gel manicures for a Saturday morning, which has to be their busiest day of the week! We were all in and out within the hour, and loved the colors and shapes of our nails. The women who did our nails were friendly and welcoming, and they all made sure we felt attended to, even though the salon was packed with people. Everything inside the salon was clean, and the decor is elegant and tasteful. The location itself is great too -- next to several other restaurants and shopping options. The prices also match the quality: it's $30 for a gel manicure, and an extremely well done one at that. It's been three days since I've had mine done, and so far I haven't seen a single chip. She noticed that i have flat nail beds, so she had to apply the acrylic in a non traditional way, and they ended up looking this amazing! I met my sis in law here for pedicures. It's located in the same building as Panera and took a minute for me to find. They do appointments and walk-ins. The were friendly and the place was clean and well kept. They make everyone wash their hands upon entry and require masks to be worn. They had quite a few options for pedicures which was actually confusing. I ended up paying $5 extra just for some cucumber lotion which was my fault but felt rushed to pick and was being recommended to pick the most expensive option. Would not recommend Holly. I went for dip on my natural nails. She did no prep on my nails and didn't cure them. 3 days after I got them done they started cracking and breaking off. Bring cash for a tip as they do not offer tip when you pay with card. This is a nice place for the price they ask for. Before adding the sparkle on the ring finger that's not too noticeable it was 55, after adding to both sides on just one finger the price changed to 65. She did what I asked for and the service I had received wasn't something I'd complain about. She was nice and didn't make me feel uncomfortable. I came as a walk in and they seated me as soon as I walked in. No bad comments but I'd come again if I was in the area It's been a week since I got them done and they still look good. I didn't notice til the day after that the nail polish on the green part is a little bulky but I'm not complaining as the price wasn't too bad as my normal nail place. They do charge by the length. Not my normal length but I'm trying to start getting shorter nails but overall I liked it here. I didn't give 5 stars due to the way my pointer finger nail was placed and the bulky nail polish on the few fingers other than that I'd recommend this place if you're on a budget. Honestly I never have had such hostile service at a spa establishment. Very dirty. They don't even autoclave their instruments. First and foremost the last visit was anything but enjoyable. The last step in getting a manicure or pedicure is to put cuticle oil and I love that, however after the massage and cuticle oil I like my feet to be wiped off with a warm towel to take the oils off. I have slipped to many times after getting a pedicure with the gellie sandals I like to wear. I asked if they could wipe my feet after the cuticle oil and they pretended to not understand what I was saying. As if I was speaking a different language. We started having some communication issues. I told them repeatedly over and over again. They started saying they were going to charge me extra to use a hot towel, and I said ok then do what you need to do but please wipe my feet. My friend had to step in to the conversation and tell them again. Finally got thru to them after about 10 minutes of arguing. I have been here multiple times to Happy Valley Nails & Spa and somehow keep wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt. Not too sure why.. when I'm always treated with no respect and the lack of communication here with the workers is beside me. I ask for one way on my nails and it's as if it goes in one ear and out the other. Making me have to breathe down their necks and not being able to even relax. I made an appt. For my friend and I today with ample amount of time before appointment. We came in 5 minutes early, to wash our hands and pick out polish color. Just the way we were greeted was horrible, and the salon was packed, they got us in to start on our pedicures and mid way switched us to the pedicure spa chairs.
