I can't explain this place. It is inside a gas station in a really run down part of town where I've…read moreentered multiple times now and seen everything from stimulant-addled druggies professing their love for the cooks to a man literally standing up front and then at one of the register windows using both hands to roll a blunt! The cashier whispered that he should say it is CBD-only flower to avoid getting anyone in trouble...yikes. Anyways, if you can temporarily ignore the total circus environment this place is in then you will experience the best fried chicken and biscuits I've ever had in my life. That's right- out of all of the myriad fried poultry and biscuits from sit down to drive through I've had in my 28 years, this gas station stuff is THE BEST. I've gone three days in a row now and I'm hooked. The thighs and legs are $1.79 ($1.75?) each and the breasts are $2.79 per. Each piece is crispy, crunchy, and hot yet super juicy! Nothing dry here ever. The barbecue sauce is a horrific pinkish red concoction of what must be some sort of depot barbecue sauce tainted with hot sauce and should be avoided at all costs. The biscuits come in honey butter coated regular flavor or glazed blueberry. I normally avoid biscuits and cornbread and the like in general because they always just seem to serve no purpose other than to dry my mouth out and crumble all over everything. These biscuits are DIVINE. They have a slightly crispy outer surface with not moist yet not at all dry interior and are covered in a most sinfully delicious honey butter glaze. They are absolutely ungodly good. The banana pudding in a nearby grab and go cooler is inexplicably $3.99 which is too expensive for a small container even thought it is a nice texture and taste owing to cream cheese in the ingredient list. The cake slices are large and for the same price aren't bad- not dry but not as moist as I'd like either although frosting isn't skimpy. The $1.99 cheesecake slices are to be forgotten. I wrestled with whether to let the cat out of the bag in sharing this gem in the ghetto, but it truly is worth all the business it gets and much more.

Witness this. My first five star review ever…read more Comfort CLE meets then exceeds expectations in almost every way. I visited on a weekday evening with my 11 yr old son after an hour of street skating in University Circle. We were hungry! Comfort CLE delivers massively on WINGS and Fresh cut fries. I've tasted a lot of wings in my life and these are at the top my a landslide. A crispy crunch with a bit of seasoning & pleasantly sauced but not overly so. I don't even like bbq sauce but their 'Tht Sauce' is sumthin special. These wings chefs make 95% of other wing Joints look like scam artists (no disrespect intended) as these wings are just next level. As are the fresh cuts. Somehow you get a variety fry textures in one order. Perfectly seasoned with THT sauce! The vibes are the best here. Kind & professional staff. Deliciously house made drinks including an amazing ginger-ade and amazing art on the walls with homages to prominent African American cultural figures and a photo wall honoring Glenville born celebrities. They even have a 4-player retro NBA jam arcade machine. Simply one of the best family dining experiences in The Land!

The space is a great size with places to sit, play games and chill with your people. I enjoyed the wings, Especially with "that sauce" on it. Cornbread was just right. Greens and Mac n cheese were delicious too. Definitely coming back when I visit!

It's National Hamburger Day! I knew exactly where I wanted to go: New Heights Grill!…read more The hamburger is made perfectly. The fries are made perfectly. Do you see a pattern? This restaurant is PERFECT! Willie was our server. He remembered everything we ordered, and always was personable and attentive. New Heights Grill has been a favorite of mine for many years. I love the informal atmosphere right in the Cedar Lee district. Dessert is always the smile-maker as an enormous stainless steel bowl is plopped on the table, filled with chocolate candies. What a great place!

We are still in the phase of finding new places in our new neighborhood, and I was REALLY excited…read morewhen we read about this place. When we walked in, excitement increased. It has the neighborhood dive feel I love SO FREAKING MUCH. Like, I guarantee you there's a guy named Gary who comes in there 5 times a week who sits down at the bar and just gets handed the same beer he gets every time he's in there. There are probably ten Garys, actually. I loved the vibes. The service was friendly, and the table we sat at was clean. The food was disappointing. Looking back, we should've ordered something a bit more... pub food-like? A burger, chicken wings, something along those lines. My wife hadn't had lunch, and she ordered a steak and potatoes, and I needed to get some sleep before working late so I ordered on the lighter side, a chicken wrap of some kind from the specials. Both were mistakes, They were cooked properly, but her steak was not a great piece of meat, and my wrap was just chicken, chorizo, and cheese on a tortilla. It needed some veg or a sauce or something. We're going to go back and give this place another shot, because I want SO MUCH for it to be good. I'm going to check through the other reviews to see what others really liked. This place has the potential to be a regular stop just based on the vibes, which I love, love, love.
