You can smell the butter in the air. The scent is heavenly. Their pastries all looked fantastic. We had the quiche, ham and cheese croissant, and morning bun. All were amazing. A week later, we're back home and still thinking about it.

Solid French pastry shop whose butter croissant rivals Paris. I was recommended because they import their butter from France and I'm a huge croissant girl. Ambiance is modern and service is okay- they forgot about our ham and Brie baguette and it was too crunchy/ slightly burnt. I still favor Wild crumb over this pastry shop but if you want more classic french desserts head in here!

Stopped by to grab a quick breakfast and it was definitely crowded. But, for a good reason. The pastries and the quiches were delicious. The coffee was also made with real vanilla beans. I had the quiche Lorraine and the kouign amann. They were both incredibly flaky and buttery.

SUPERB. The kouign amann was perfect- crunchy and subtly sweet on the outside, and outrageously soft and buttery inside. I haven't gotten to try their other fare yet, but I hope to return soon to do so!

Definitely the best Croissant. The owner is classically trained chef from Codon Bleu and trained the croissant baker. A few random customers agreed it was as good if not better than Paris. At least 54 layers with a beautiful rise and perfectly flaky. Coffee was very good too. I didn't try Wild Crumb to compare but I've eaten croissants around the world and Viennes est très bien

Wasn't expecting this in a small western town like Bozeman MT! The pastries were reminiscent of Nice, the coffee is equally as good. Highly recommend!

Good coffee and fresh baked pastries. Unfortunately no decaf coffee options and limited tea selection.

French bakery has the most amazing French pastries that I've had in years. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious.

The cost for 1 hour to hang with the cats is $9. The cat's space is super spacious with various bean bags, chairs, and hanging seats for lounging with the kitties. There were 8 cats in total. The T.V. monitor will continuously show each cat's name. Bob is indeed grumpy. Mildew knows she's the star. Stella will actually sit on your lap. And the old boy, Eddie, will just sleep. We missed our babies so much that during the last day in this area, we lucked out and found this spot. Just like our own babies, the kitties here each had their own personalities. Going on a this particular Friday afternoon without an appointment since we didn't know, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to get a spot, but all was good. Even The Market where this place is located inside wasn't super crowded. But yeah. Make an appointment in case things get busy. I give this place 4 stars because I was hoping to grab a snack and see the kitties without an admission. Bummer. But honestly, $9 isn't terrible. You're helping feed these babies!

Don't come here expecting food, unless you want to share the cat food of the adorable residents…read more There is a cafe downstairs though, so it's not hopeless. Cat Show Cafe was just what I needed to kill some time while I was waiting for my ultimate destination to open. Located in The Market, it's strongly recommended you make reservations to visit with the cats. I didn't have a reservation, but just did a walk-in to buy a ticket at the counter of the small shop. The employee took me upstairs to the area where the cats are kept in a large room overlooking the first floor with the other shops and small cafe. Because I was the only one at that time of day, they didn't limit my time (and probably why I wasn't kicked out for not having a reservation) but that was okay. I wasn't planning on staying long/. These cats range from friendly lap-sitting purring machines, to the aloof, leave-me-alone and admire me (cat owners know what I mean), and that kept me there longer than I had anticipated. It was all good.. The cats here are permanent residents. They are not up for adoption and the fee you pay goes toward the upkeep and care of the cats. While I enjoyed my visit and the cats are adorable, I can't say it would be a regular stop. Supporting a local shelter is more for me; but, on the other hand, it is easier to leave these cats behind when I leave than it is for me to do the same at a shelter.

I'm not over exaggerating either, this bakery is one of my favorite places in Bozeman. There is nothing we have ever tried here that we did not like. My personal favorites include any flaky pastry like the butter croissant, Pain au Chocolat (cholate croissant), Pain au Chocolat aux Amandes (chocolate and almond croissant)...yum! I can only describe it as biting into golden, flaky shell with a soft, buttery interior. Don't get me started on the delicious French Butter! Aurore does an amazing job sourcing high quality ingredients you can taste. It makes me so sad that we moved. Yet, so excited to have something to look forward to when we're back in town. We discovered Aurore French Bakery before most people knew how delicious it was. Now, there's almost always a line out the door no matter the time of day--and they deserve it. If you want to experience one of the most perfect bites in Bozeman, show up early!

Alas, the secret is out and Aurore is keeping up with demand, so much so that there's another location now. Things I love: - classic croissant - Croinamon (croissant cinnamon roll) - croissant aux chocolate - any of her pâte à choux / eclairs - cappuccino (Parisian roasted!) ... BUT MY FAV? The ham & cheese croissant which uses ham from Daniel's and has a delicious grainy mustard added. EASILY the best I've ever had, even in Europe. Ambulance is simple, cozy with several tables. The space is a commercial kitchen foremost which is a good thing - everything made fresh! The one downside to prepare for if you plan to stay and nosh is that they don't have a restroom available. Don't forget to pick up a loaf of bread, baguette, sticks of French butter, French flour, and/or extra treats for later. You won't regret any of it!! From their site: "French flour from Les Grands Moulins de Paris and French butter from Isigny Sainte-Mère. Importing butter, jams, juices, and vinegar from France too!"
