Stopped in for a quick lunch with hubs the day after Christmas. I haven't been to this location since they opened. Honestly, the last time I dined here was when they had just opened as a little hole in the wall on East Market Street in York. Wow - it was so good! The decor was great. The service was prompt. We did the shrimp wok-stickers, he had the ginger shrimp and I had the Kalbi short-rib. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Portion sizes were enough for 2 meals. Kalbi was tender with wonderful seasoning and a nice fatty bite. Was great with the kimchi. I ended with the mango sticky rice - again enough for 2. Was covered in mango. Had large pieces of fruit with every bite. Hubs enjoyed his meal. Lots of shrimp and fresh veg. Please stop in a give them a try!

Never had an issue with Viet Thai before but I ordered takeout tonight and ordered lemongrass soup, bun bo hue and some Chinese style fried rice. The soups were cold, not even lukewarm and the Bun Bo Hue had zero slices of beef brisket as shown in the description all I found were fatty pieces of grizzle and tendon, which I had to pick out. It was really disappointing and misleading vs their description on the menu.

Great food. They got real busy and have alot of carry out, so I would suggest a reservation.

Great lunch with friends at Viet Thai. I eat here with them when I'm in town as it is one of my friend's favorites. VT is located in " East York" in the Giant plaza. Plenty of parking, but you may have an extra 100' walk when the plaza is busy. Service is always quick. Today I noticed there was outdoor seating, but we always sit inside. Ambiance is very nice, but honestly, I don't like the chairs, I feel that I'm sitting up too high. Or if your in a booth waaay to low. I typically just order randomly to try new things. I have never been disappointed. The portions are generous; prices are fair. Pad Thai is one of my favorites. This week I tried the Spicy Pad Kapow Chicken. It was spicy, made my eyes water (haha)! Awesome flavors!

Went back Viet Thai today. Today, I took two coworkers and we all loved our food. I got my curry level 10 and it was amazing ... coworkers both had sushi which looked amazing and they said was fabulous. One had the TNT Maki roll (I think) and the other had the Tsunami roll. Amazing food, great dining experience. Check out the pictures of the sushi - beautiful !!

I ordered the pad kee mao, which was also named drunken noodles on the website. When I got the dish, it was flavorless, with a brownish gray cornstarch slurry type of sauce. We called the restaurant, since this was a takeout dish. Upon talking to someone working there, she started arguing and explaining that the restaurant was open 10 years and the recipe was fine and that we should have specified Bangkok noodles instead. Every single thai restaurant I have ever been to, from the east coast to the west coast, makes a reddish colored drunken noodle dish they call pad see mao. I have never received anything that looks like it is made with a cornstarch and soy sauce slurry or tastes this bland, even ordered with their normal spice level. We were met with hostility during this call. Not once were we asked if we would be able to come in and have our dish remade. Instead, the woman insisted we were wrong and implied our palates were off. I would never go back here and wouldn't recommend any of my friends go here either. The food itself would have gotten 2 stars, but this interaction is what is driving the 1 star review. Edit: looking at pictures posted by people of their pad see mao, mine looks completely different and clearly wasn't made correctly. I guess whoever picked up the phone was so convinced that they gave the right dish that they didn't care to listen to our complaints.

The soup came with Thai pork, vegetables, and scallions. It was very flavorful and came out nice and hot so good that I didn't feel the need to add anything extra to it. For my main dish, I ordered my go-to Thai meal: chicken and basil. It was super delicious. The chicken was well-seasoned, cooked perfectly, and the dish came out hot and fresh just like the soup. Parking was easy since they have their own dedicated parking lot. It's not huge, but I had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant itself is family-friendly, and they had music playing in the background that added to the atmosphere without being too loud or distracting. Service was a little slower than usual today it took about 15 minutes for someone to come over and take my food and drink order, but once the order was placed, the food came out quickly. The staff was still very kind and welcoming, and things happen sometimes, so it wasn't enough for me to take away from the overall experience. They also have bathrooms available, which is always helpful for families stopping in. Seating options are tables, booths, and table and booth combination, If you enjoy Thai cuisine, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!

It's everything you didn't know you needed, in the best way ever. *** Ginger offers benefits like reducing nausea, fighting inflammation and pain (especially menstrual cramps, arthritis), aiding digestion, boosting immunity, potentially improving heart health (cholesterol, blood sugar), and supporting brain function due to its potent antioxidants (gingerols, shogaols) and anti-inflammatory compounds, helping with colds, indigestion, and even skin health*** Moved on to the Shrimp Fresh Garden Rolls (warm shrimp, fresh Thai basil, fresh spring mix, and crispy lettuce wrapped in rice paper) served with a DELICIOUS HOMEMADE peanut sauce. Solid garden roll and paying $1 extra for hoisin and Thai chili sauce was worth it. A fresh explosion of flavor with every bite. ***Thai basil provides benefits such as rich antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, supporting immune function with vitamins A, C, and K, and aiding digestion.
